Part of me is screaming at the lack of analogue support and the frustrating nature of pre-rendered environments. However once you get past that and slaughter your first wave of demons you can’t help but get sucked into the game.

For a superbly crafted single player experience you probably won’t find many to touch it, everything combines to create such a cinematic experience that you can’t help but find yourself completely encompassed into it.

The game manages to blend accessibility with depth perfectly, whilst the level of immersion brought about by using the headset is at times unbelievable.

Combine the wonderfully fluid control system, level designs that ooze the 'one more go' appeal and the fact that it's Mario, and you've got one of the best games in a long time and certainly the GameCube's finest hour to date. [Import]

A pleasant surprise and proves to be one of the best strategy games on the market, with vast and epic battles complete with an impressive system that goes ten times further than the most.

A poorly implemented game idea that is by far beaten by Dave Mirra’s BMX game, which incidentally in its first incarnation had much more expansive levels than this game.

Achieves the Holy Grail in the action/adventure genre, by perfectly merging arcade action with sufficient strategy and depth. We loved every moment in the game.

A few more months in development ironing out the control system and the suspect AI would have seen a much better release, whilst mid-level saves would have eliminated some of the frustration.

You can read as many reviews and features as you like but we can guarantee you that you shall not be disappointed with this one.

An awesome achievement in originality for the gaming industry. Sure it has it’s frustrating points, but it’s not “bad game” frustrating, it’s more of a “hard game” frustrating.

A rough diamond, beneath that stuttering framerate is a wonderfully innovative shooter that is a joy to play and brings some great ideas to the genre.

Let down by a poor physics engine and terrible AI, Freekstyle just doesn’t cut the mustard – sure sometimes it has nice visuals, but this is at speed – I want to be able to sit back and look at the view, but there isn’t one.

Wipeout fans will find something to like about the latest instalment, it’s everything that Wipeout was, however that may in part be a cause of the problem, we’ve seen it all before and done it.

If you’re going to play on your own there is enough to keep you playing for days, take it online and you have a masterpiece that could last you a lifetime.

Perhaps the most impressive visual aspect to Downforce is the games split-screen multiplayer mode which stays extremely quick, with no loss in quality, framerate or objects on-screen.

This game is rushed and it truly shows in every aspect. I feel as if I’ve been taken back to the days of WCW Nitro and the likes. Please get me out of this Nightmare.

It was slightly disappointing to see the visuals downgraded and no real thought into the conversion.

I will continue to praise the open ended mechanics of the game though, as I said before, it’s sweet when you are not bounded simply because “you aren’t suppose to go there”.

A peculiar game, a very specialist title more like a true flight-sim then the arcade games we’re used to on consoles, yet the controls have been thought about to ensure its accessibility.

A traditional FPS that’s been polished as far as they can go with the design limitations in hand, sure we’d have liked to have seen more freedom for the players actions and a half decent control system would have helped.

There’s no getting away from the fact that this is nothing more then a standard Mario Kart clone, albeit one with lots to do and lots of extras to uncover and one that captures the Looney Tunes license perfectly.

The enjoyment is gained by the authenticity that Heavy Iron has crafted, playing the game feels as though you’re playing through one of the shows.

Those who enjoyed Galactic Battlegrounds will find this expansion pack an essential purchase, not only does it have new material, the modifications balance the game and improve upon it.

The lack of improvements or additions upon the PS2 version really hurts it

A solid rhythm/action game, there’s just not enough of it.

The most engrossing, deepest and open-ended videogame you’ll see for a very long time, at times it feels like more then a videogame, something to get completely caught up in and realise that time has no importance when you’re playing it.

I do like this game, and I feel that if a few problems are fixed, it could rank up there with the Tony Hawk’s, and the Aggressive Inline’s of the extreme world.
