Whilst the graphics aren’t exactly the most impressive seen on the PlayStation 2; the gameplay makes up for the lack in looks.

One of the best videogames experience we've had in a very long time. It’s not about the blood, or being able to indulge in illegal activities, although amusing, the simple fact is that GTA3 is so playable.

Mediocrity and disappointment, the images that conjure up when thinking about Top Gun are intense action, pumping soundtrack, slick presentation and fun, unfortunately most of these can’t be found in the game.

Reality Pump have refined the genre to near perfection, and until we see some radical changes to the RTS formula you’ll be hard pressed to find a better title.

One of the greatest elements to F1 2001 is the controls, you can choose to use the Dual Shock 2 or the Gran Turismo 3 wheel, both of them offer great response to the F1 car.

A solid, action filled game, with lots of options, plenty of guns and Holywood Style shooting scenes.

For those who like this type of game and would like to see a change from falling blocks this game will entertain you for many hours.

It left me with bad feelings not only because of its complete plagiarism but because they haven’t even attempted to do anything with it but change the bubbles to pathetic little Snoods.

It’s not perfect, it does get tedious at the start as you’re trying to level up, it’s not for everyone, but for those brought up on Elite you’ll love it.

The graphics at first may seem to be a little too grainy, however the atmosphere created from it is pure genius.

Like “Memento” it has sleeper hit written all over it. Its a game for gamers that have played it all, and I recommend it to anyone who has every enjoyed an adventure game. Ico is like a fine work of art, so savor it.

The game uses a completely new 3D engine that allows for the rotation of environments so you can see where the enemy’s path is going to take them, in even more detail than ever before.

To say I was pleasantly surprised by PotA would be a considerable understatement, whilst not bringing any new ideas to the genre, it is a well refined title that impresses with tight controls and good gameplay.

For a handheld, the AI of your computer-controlled opponents is surprisingly diverse and complex.

The sense of immersion is superb, whilst the scope of what you can actually get up to is unparalleled. Thankfully this realism doesn’t come at the cost of the gameplay, as the controls are instinctive but comprehensive.

The perfect amalgamation of it's cousins, employing the best bits from both and coming up trumps.

The arcade gameplay failed to excite, whilst the lack of depth in gaming modes, vehicle customisation and in general the whole game ensure the final nail has been placed.

Fantastic , it will keep you playing for hours on end, and if you manage to complete the game you’ll get a great feeling of happiness.

Rent it out along with a six-pack and some mates some time, but I wouldn't recommend buying it.

The problem is though that once you start getting into it, the game is over. A typical gamer would probably have this licked within 2hrs, and unless you’re a huge virtual pet fan there’s not a lot to go back and see.

The four-player split screen mode is yet another feather in the dreamcast’s cap for multiplayer games, and despite the lack of an on-line mode I’m more then happy.

Indeed the closest contemporary for the game would be "Metal Gear Solid" as it is one of the few games like Max Payne that offers a completely impressive experience from beginning to end, wrapped up in sumptuous presentation and production values.

The moan continues with uninspired and bland graphics, awful sound effects and ear-wrenching music.

Everything we wanted; the graphics are so realistic it’s actually quite scary. The sound effects and background music push your adrenaline to the max, and you’ll find yourself in shock after playing this game.

Being the Bomberman purist that I am, it’s the multiplayer modes that kept me hooked.

Scratch beneath the glossy visuals and you’ll reveal an uncomplicated affair that’s fun to play but may not appease the fighting purists.

The game doesn’t offer enough depth to fans of the genre, whilst those new like me, would be better off with "Twisted Metal Black."
