Clearly a lot of love and effort has gone into making this game and both Endeavor Bros. and Monkube should be applauded for creating one of the best-looking and most endearing games on the casual market, but the fundamental gameplay issues cannot be ignored.

Maybe it’s worth checking out for the average ’90s Gamer and a new generation but the original remains the primary experience.

Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition is a solid collection for anyone still nostalgic for Duke’s brand of gory antics or those wanting to test their mettle against the corridor shooters of old.

The gameplay at times feels regressive and uninspired, just things that you have to do to get to the next hilarious dialogue exchange. The story very effectively pushes you along through it, and I can't say that the gameplay is terrible by any stretch. It just never tries to be as innovative as the rest of the package and comes across as underwhelming by the end of its five hour campaign.

All style and no substance is an appropriate way to describe the entire game, really.

You PS2 owning FPS junkies are no doubt going to love this beast, and the rest of you will have some fun with this game too, just don’t be disappointed when you realize that Killzone's not the ground-breaking experience I think we were all expecting.

Ultimately though, what makes Magrunner a mediocre experience is that it feels padded. Halfway through the game, the magnetism mechanics stop being entertaining, but there’s still half a story to tell.

It may not be an everyman game, but it sits in a genre cruelly under-represented outside of PCs, and is very good at what it does.

I can imagine it now, the family sitting down Christmas afternoon watching Mamma Mia, then wanting to emulate it with SingStar, by the end of the night even granddad will be a dancing queen, and when all is said and done, isn’t that all we want?

You might have been to the city before, but in Burial at Sea, it remains as alluring a creation as it ever was.

There’s a lack of tension and attachment to these characters. You feel like you’re watching rather than playing and contributing to a piece of interactive fiction, dampening the effect of even its most affecting moments.

WWE Legends of WrestleMania is a game sure to please the legions of nostalgic fans out there. It’s easy to pick up and play, although this could also be its biggest downfall.

Let’s be clear – Fossil Fighters isn’t for the self-proclaimed “hardcore gamer.” No, it’s for kids – no doubt about it. That being said, it’s a quality title that, though somewhat shallow and straightforward, is a great fit for budding gamers.

Some of that pleasure is tempered by an imbalance in the games puzzle progression and the reuses of a handful of puzzle templates, but with a little tweaking and another exotic case to be cracked, Puzzle Agent could become a series consistently worth solving.

This title does all the right things in terms of challenge, weapons, character options, and level designs. The problem is that it rarely goes beyond what’s been previously established; aside from a few insanely awesome boss fights and a handful of fancy new throwaway underlings to ravage, nearly all of your foes have been plucked from the older titles.

What limited time you do have with Garfield is actually surprisingly entertaining, and though it doesn’t really use the source material very well, this is still a good 2D platformer that platforming fans should check out, whether they like Garfield or not.

Homefront is a pleasant diversion at best. At worst, it's a sub-par action game riddled with flaws and design missteps. Perhaps an option for pressing "A" and skipping the entire campaign would have been better advised.

The story, albeit brief, is involving but also stiffly delivered. Half of the puzzles are well designed, while the other half serves little purpose other than testing your patience. You’ll also wander around Provence as both yourself and your brother, but you’ll discover there really isn’t much point to it all.
