Despite the disappointment of the online mode, Aces of the Galaxy is a brilliantly crafted montage of many of gaming histories most successful titles.- Thunderbolt

A flawed effort which will seem amazing to hardcore fans. Everyone else will be genuinely thrilled with the larger-than-life fantasy scope at times, suffocating unhappily under the monstrous enemy forces at other times, before it's all over, in no time.- Thunderbolt

The blue stuff could be an analogy for the game at large – unexpected, cool to look at, but utterly, maddeningly infuriating and with little resemblance to what the forces that birthed it set out to achieve.- Thunderbolt

Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt isn't an awful expansion, but it is woefully underwhelming when compared to the wealth of content the others have provided.- Thunderbolt

The premise of a shoot 'em up which encourages players to be more selective about what they shoot may sound counterintuitive, but Zeit Squared's risk/reward health system, coupled with some fine-tuned, innovative game mechanics, are engaging throughout.- Thunderbolt

The whole notion of a scored review seems a little arbitrary in the face of the niche and dedicated fanbase this game will attract, and its attempts at populist window-dressing are virtually pointless because for the rest of us, the whole entity is at its most lenient completely mystifying, and at its most uncompromising utterly impenetrable.- Thunderbolt

We are captivated, taken by Hotsuma's grace of movement, the clarity of his sword's simplistic song, the will of the wind that fills his scarf. But far too soon, much like the programmers responsible: we’ll forget.- Thunderbolt

From the sleep-inducing gameplay to the wooden dialogue and stale story, the whole project feels phoned in Hunting ghosts has never been so bad.- Thunderbolt

If this is the only version of Madden NFL 08 that you have access to, then you should still play it, but you’re not going to get the same enjoyment out of it as someone who has the 360 version is going to. But, despite the flaws, it is clear to see that there’s potential here.- Thunderbolt

It’s not going to set any new standards in the genre, but it’s a fine foray into the third person shooter genre and proves that this type of game can, and should, exist on the PlayStation Vita.- Thunderbolt

It’s sad to watch as the Bloody Roar series goes to hell. It has a decent gimmick to make it stand out among other fighters. If only the minds behind this game actually sat down and figured out how to implement the gimmick properly, it could have the makings of something great.- Thunderbolt

The frustration of the platforming and stealth in Billy's levels is too much to go unnoticed, but thankfully the villainous Uncle Ray saves the day with his rootin' tootin' shooting action.- Thunderbolt

Silent Hill: Homecoming feels tired. The series is past its best and is in need of a complete re-work.- Thunderbolt

If the peripheral wasn’t plagued with pestering annoyances and the ability to induce cramp after half an hours play, this may have been more of a success. With a lack of original or even quality track listing, this game begins to wear thin after only one play through.- Thunderbolt

For ancient king and Elvish lord, Guardians of Middle-earth is stuck in the Mystical Bog of Latency Irritation. Its system's solidly built and there's the appearance of depth crying to be uncovered. However, those cries aren't being heard. This isn't the first time a multiplayer-only XBLA title has effectively been broken online. It deserved a better fate than this.- Thunderbolt

It's certainly one of the better RTS/FPS hybrids, and with any luck, it will become a little more welcoming to players interested in something other than the typical shooter fare - and for people willing to invest themselves, it's already worth a look.- Thunderbolt

Half-Life 2 has a better story, F.E.A.R. has better combat (complete with bullet time) and Gears of War looks better.- Thunderbolt

Perhaps the series peaked with 2K7, after-all, there can only be so many variations on Pong before someone runs out of ideas, or the waters become over saturated.- Thunderbolt

It's best not to go into the game expecting a true Final Fantasy experience, but diehard RPG fans won't be disappointed.- Thunderbolt

It's rare to see a movie game that is enjoyable in its own right. Even without the Bourne license, Conspiracy would be a great action game. It blends two totally different gameplay styles together and delivers them in quick, intense bursts.- Thunderbolt

I haven't got bored of it yet, but it has all the hallmarks of a game that I will be getting bored of in another week or so. Still, two weeks worth of playing time isn't bad for a puzzle game. Not bad at all.- Thunderbolt

The swarmites are your people and you want to protect them. Maybe they're dumb, but spend some quality time with them though, and you'll find a lot to love, once you've come to cherish their eccentricities and predicament. Like any family they're a chore, and I wouldn't want it any other way.- Thunderbolt
