Guns Gore and Cannoli 2 is a very serviceable 2D platforming shooter. Certainly better than its predecessor. Unfortunately, Vinnie Cannoli remains an awful character and everything about the plot is lazy and at times concerning.

Never Stop fails to hold the attention for long, and unfortunately there are others in the same genre that do the endless runner job a lot better. Wait til it's available for pennies.

Salt and Sanctuary not only manages to encapsulate the games in which it took liberal inspiration from, but then confidently build upon them, ensuring a complete, unique package that demands your attention at all times.

Bouncy Bob is simplistic entertainment which doesn't really set the Switch alight. There's not really enough here to keep you coming back for more.

The Lion’s Song is a masterful collection of independent yet interconnecting tales of individuals determination to succeed in their respective craft. This is accompanied by beautiful pixelart and the wonderful titular Lion’s Song. These tales will stay with you for some time.

Zaccaria Pinball offers a ton of breadth, but despite its free entry point, trying to amass a complete collection of everything that's on offer is going to be really expensive stuff, and we can't justify recommending that.

Whilst not an essential purchase, 12 Orbits is great with a group of friends or family for shorter bursts of fun!

Picross S2 perfectly encapsulates the alluring one more go feeling that so many like-minded puzzle games aspire for, and does so with such masterful implementation. Jupiter show they are still the master of their craft, as they have always been in their 25 years of releasing Picross titles across Nintendo's hardware.

Titan Quest falls short when it comes to some technical aspects. Even so, it still manages to deliver a very engaging experience where you won't notice the time pass while you hack n' slash your way through enemies searching for better loot.

Its single player may be repetitive, but as a local multiplayer game, Super Volley Blast is accessible sports fun with a surprisingly deep character customisation system, utilised hilariously by the developer. If only the actual gameplay had the same depth.

Although the premise of Pool Panic sounds great, the novel ideas and craziness soon wear thin and seem sparse at times amongst the game's 100 stages. I felt the single player mode outstayed its welcome and would have been better with fewer stages and more time spent on fine-tuning the mechanics. More frustrating than fun, and don't get me started on those quick-footed colour balls! At least the multiplayer mode provides fun when with friends!

Angels of Death is a horror-adventure game that intrigues from the very start. A must-have for fans of psychological and physical horror that'll have you playing until the very early hours of the morning.

Chicken Assassin: Reloaded is a crime against Action-RPGs but a godsend to the clicker genre. It'll serve those who are into this type of game well, but even extensive customisation load outs won't help it appeal to everyone else.

Glaive: Brick Breaker appears to be a game that exists just to pay homage to its inspiration, Brick Breaker. It never tries to be much more than that, and is content wallowing in mediocrity.

I'd recommend Monsters Overboard if you're a fan of Hotel Transylvania, and therefore the devs have done their job with the movie tie-in. It's no-where near as good as Pikmin, but the characters are here, the voice acting is done well, and the gameplay genuinely fits the theme and is pleasant enough to hold me over until Olimar's return.

Candle: The Power of the Flame is a great title for fans of adventure and puzzles. It could be improved with a hint system, though, as some of the tougher sequences are a little obscure.

Frederic 2 offers more of the same from the first game. It's nice to have them both on Switch, and at an affordable rate given the sale price. They're both short games, though, so a bundle would be welcome.

An old classic that’s never quite gotten the audience it deserves, Okami HD’s gorgeous art style and unique brush mechanic is perfect for Switch. Players looking for an equivalent to Zelda with an appreciation of Japanese myths and aesthetics needn’t look further.

Dead Cells is a game of many influences. As a child of roguelikes, metroidvanias, and souls-like games, it mixture many elements in a surprisingly cohesive and entertaining way. Thanks to one of the most satisfying sidescrolling combats and extensive replayability, it is a game that every Switch owner should play and keep playing.

Don't Die, Mr. Robot DX! is a game that you can just sit back, chill out and play. The difficulty will ramp up if you play in a mode other than Chill Out mode - but a quick five-minute session can soon turn into hours when this addictive arcade game sinks its hooks into you.

Playdead's INSIDE is masterful in what it sets out to achieve. It might not be Breath of the Wild in terms of its scope, or Super Mario Odyssey in terms of its level variety, but it provides a visceral and beautiful three hour long experience that is difficult to forget.
