Pokémon Legends Z-A brings some very welcome news, such as a dynamic combat system, a very good integration of the Mega Evolution mechanics, and an incredible variety of content to find in a relatively small landscape. The cast of characters is fantastic, one of the very best ever in a Pokémon game, and the soundtrack is a gift to our ears. The game's performance on the Switch 2 is up to a very high standard, too. The exploration can feel repetitive on the medium term, though, and the game's graphics are in need of an update, while the day cycle transition animation can cause problems, but Legends Z-A most certainly lives up to its high expectations.- Starbit

Yakuza Kiwami is a remake that successfully fulfils its double purpose: to deliver an updated experience to players who enjoyed the original, and to welcome new players. Its enveloping plot, with a myriad of captivating characters and events, the fun and engaging combat system, the possibilities of exploring the game's world and, very importantly, a brilliant technical performance, make this version of Yakuza Kiwami on the Nintendo Switch 2 the ultimate edition of the game, even if a few elements can feel dated at some moments.- Starbit

With its absolute chaos from one end to the other, Overcooked! 2 improves on the variety of the experience and delivers a local multiplayer that fits the gameplay's ambitions perfectly. Thanks to its stable, fluid performance on the Switch 2 and short loading times, this version is just what players looking for quick, intense, chaotic fun need.- Starbit

Becastled is a simple take on three popular genres, and it does several things right. It’s accessible to newcomers, it does not overcomplicate things, and even when we lose it lets us get back on our feet quickly. It’s less compelling than expected, however, and it can quickly become repetitive, which is where its simple audiovisual component can become a liability.- Starbit

Its controls, though, can be stiff and slow at times, which makes some segments more frustrating than they should. There's also a lack of variety in the mechanics, and its puzzles could be more creative. Dollmare works better as a short, subtle atmospheric horror experience that can be finished in one go, rather than as an ambitious adventure.- Starbit

Tales of Xillia Remastered does a very good job at bringing the original game to our day and age, ticking all the right boxes as we rediscover a marvelous JRPG that despite relying on many common clichés, can bring in many hours of fun. This edition includes all the game's DLC, which adds a very welcome touch to the experience, and keeps all the best elements of its dynamic combat system. Tales of Xillia Remastered is a very welcome addition to the Nintendo Switch catalogue, showing how neatly it adapts to a handheld experience, and it's perfectly geared for both veterans and newcomers alike.- Starbit

Everything that made the series great is here, along with a few touches that improve the experience and a batch of welcome extras that will charm long time fans. Some things don't change, though, and the difficulty remains stubbornly frustrating at some points, and a few short input lags can make some moments feel frustrating, while the online component needs improvement. Nonetheless, it is the best anthology that the early arcade and domestic MK games could ask, and it will delight veterans and some newer, curious fans alike.- Starbit

Once Upon a Katamari does a marvelous job at delievering a modern Katamari experience, improving where it needed while keeping the beloved series' soul intact. The new levels are a wonder to explore, while the bulk of the gameplay remains fun and delightful at all times, and with the addition of new power-ups it feels even more rewarding. Everything is nicely wrapped up by the game's audiovisual component, that delivers us yet another gorgeous Katamari package of absurd chaos and fun.- Starbit

It goes out of its way to make it the absolute and definitive version of Yakuza 0, building on every element of the game and making it more enjoyable, more ambitious, and an overall better game to play, without forgetting its many side quests and hustles. It also shows what the Nintendo Switch 2 can do, and delivers an experience that performs at a very high level without ever compromising its quality. Yakuza 0: Director's Cut on the Switch 2 is one of the greatest games of narrative action ever made, and a textbook case of a bridge between the past and the present.- Starbit

While it is apparent that the game does not excel with regards to its visual and audio qualities, Ultimate Speed nevertheless does a competent job at keeping its technical features stable, and in the end those looking for a fun and intense racing experience under the Hot Wheels name will certainly be satisfied with this work.- Starbit

Its audiovisual environment is perfectly tied to the narrative structure, where the story is told through pictures and background sound effects, and where subtle fears strike horror with no need of jumpscares. The experience would be even more enjoyable if it lasted longer, and the cooperative dimension needs improvement when playing solo while the need for a second Switch 2 for local play is an obstacle, but Little Nightmares III most certainly knows how to create an experience in horror gameplay.- Starbit

Snoopy & The Great Mystery Club is a wholesome puzzle adventure, where Snoopy and the gang set to solve everyday mysteries that are affecting the main characters of the Peanuts universe. Friendly and very accessible, the game fits well with a younger audience, but it could certainly use more elements that stimulate the sense of discovery, leaving the impression of good ideas that deserved more investment. Still, as a no frills and friendly experience, it does a good job, though it could let its players return to the same file after wrapping up the last mystery.- Starbit

Thanks to its ambitious game modes and skilled execution, EA Sports FC 26 delivers an experience on the Nintendo Switch 2 that stand next to the other versions of the game, something that's highlighted by the addition of crossplay. On top of the many game modes and detailed possibilities, the audiovisual component is truly impressive, and it all comes together to create a memorable football experience for both die-hard fans and newcomers alike.- Starbit

Super World War is a fun and light-hearted take on strategy games whose art style and humor will make many players get attached quickly, even if it doesn't take itself too seriously. While it its plot is not the most memorable and the battles can feel too long sometimes, the game's mechanics are interesting and its comedy dimension makes everything more enjoyable.- Starbit

Yooka-Replaylee may have come as a surprise but it's a very welcome surprise nonetheless, as this remaster of the original not only expectedly improves on several audiovisual elements, completely redesigning some of them, but also makes the experience more fluid and dynamic by starting the adventure with the entire moveset unlocked, with each level fully expanded, and fast travel. While on the technical side the game could have made more of the Nintendo Switch 2 hardware, Yooka-Replaylee is a marvelous 3D platformer that will be duly enjoyed by both fans of the genre and fans of the original game.- Starbit

Simple and accessible, the main asset of Gloomy Eyes' cooperative, single-player gameplay lies on solving its succession of puzzles and challenges while keeping track of what surprises the plot will bring us next. Although the camera could use improvements, Gloomy Eyes shows how it is possible to tie an animated movie to an adventure game and to keep us holding on to the very end, not because we are scared but because we want to see and do more.- Starbit

Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island + Emerald Rush is a DLC that does a very good job at delivering a challenging experience and at rekindling the players' relationship with the original game thanks to its new, stimulating roguelike mode and to the nostalgia-inducing settings of old DK Island. This DLC does not intend to reinvent DK Bananza's experience, so it focuses its value on adding new experiences to the original game, but it does so in a very fun and friendly way which fits nicely with fans of Bananza who want to get a bit more out of that game.- Starbit

Lynked: Banner of the Spark is an interisting and original work that blends intense combat with town building, and does a very good job at linking both experiences and making them feel part of a coherent whole. Lighthearted and fun, despite its premise, Lynked features a very friendly and colourful art style and gives its players a palpable feeling of progression that's always very welcome. Players looking for an accessible and creative game, with a good dose of personality and a neat balance between combat and town building will most certainly enjoy their time with Lynked.- Starbit

Kirby and the Forgotten Land - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World may be a difficult title to recall by heart but fortunately, we don't need to memorize it to enjoy this little Nintendo Switch 2 marvel. The original game is treated to a very welcome new levels that add an additional layer when it comes to exploration and difficulty, and the game's looks and performance on the Switch 2 work like a charm. If bringing Kirby to a 3D world was a very good idea, updating it to the Nintendo Switch 2 was even better.- Starbit

Upon looking at its friendly, cartoonish visuals, it would seem like we are before a very simple work but under the bonnet lies a very competent racing game that brings its players over many decades of competitive motor sports, in a tribute that will delight many fans of hi-octane, high speed fun. What's more, it's a demanding game too, and requires from its players a sharp, strategic approach to driving. Formula Legends could stand out even more if it featured a multiplayer component.- Starbit

Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town is a fun, wholesome game that does a great job as a sequel to yet another fun, wholesome game. Strange Antiquities is a charming and enrapturing mystery solving game based on strange and unusual objects of the occult. In the role of the apprentice of an antiquities shop owner - or rather, the apprentice of a thaumaturge - players are going to navigate through descriptions and hints about what specific antiquity the clients are looking for, as well as carry out some detective work outside the shop to find more of these unusual items, all while the entire town seems to be taken over by distressing phenomena. Simple but with plenty of new things to find out, including nine different endings, Strange Antiquities is a charm to fans of mystery-solving games with a touch of horror.- Starbit

With its wide, lush and consistent open world settings, missions with different gameplay approaches, gorgeous art style, exquisite soundtrack and effects, and an overall very competent performance, Star Wars Outlaws is a unique opportunity to experience an uncommon take on Star Wars based on survival and deception, rather than on brute force. Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion is undoubtedly aimed at fans of mecha-based games. Its frantic combat featuring giant metal machines and especially, the boss fights, will keep players on their toes. However, Titatnic Scion could have done better at addressing its performance flaws, which sometimes prevent the game from standing out in the Switch 2 hardware when there's a lot happening on the screen at once, and beyond the combats, its plot and secondary missions are rather repetitive and end up pushing this game into a more niche territory.- Starbit

Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition has a long name but the experience delivered is simple and very welcoming. With its farming and crafting gameplay along with elements of personal relationships and tasks, Grand Bazaar successfully welcomes us to a cozy and wholesome experience where players are free to follow their main goals in a motivating atmosphere which can last and last without becoming cumbersome. The game also does very well on the Nintendo Switch 2, where its performance is close to irreprehensible.- Starbit

The concept is interesting, and basing the game on wheelchair basketball is very welcome, as adapted sports are still underrepresented in gaming. As a tech demo, it works reasonably well, but the experience quickly starts to wear out on the player's wrists, and some of the control mechanics demand a level of precision that soon becomes frustrating. The game's visual environment feels uninspired too, which is unusual from a Nintendo production. Given its relatively low sales price, Drag x Drive should be seen as a quick experience, but it could have done something more interesting than what's on display in this work.- Starbit

The newfound comedic writing is welcome, and the new puzzles are very creative. On the other hand, the game's plot falls short of expectations, and the new Somniums found here are too linear and don't bear much of an impact on the story. Overall, No Sleep For Kaname Date is a fun and appealing work for the series' fans that just falls short of building a more ambitious game.- Starbit

The Eternal Die sucks us in with its absolutely gorgeous and exquisite art style, which gives it a unique gothic horror look, and its frantic and fun combats. The game mechanics deserved to have been developed at a deeper level, though, and the game's short length means that dedicated players will quickly reach its limit but the experience is nonetheless very addictive and a marvel to the eyes and ears.- Starbit

Donkey Kong Bananza is everything we could ask for in a new Donky Kong 3D platformer. Thanks to its new mechanics, Bananza puts a new spin on the platforming genre and it's nothing short of a marvel to use DK's destructive powers and open whole new paths to explore, while the cooperative mode and its flexible rules make the experience a delight to play with a friend. If we add to that a gorgeous visual world that appeals to both veterans and newcomers and a panoply of entrancing music tracks, Donkey Kong Bananza clearly stands out as a marvelous example of what the Nintendo Switch 2 can do.- Starbit
