The Outlast Trials isn't a bad game, thanks to a dose of blood and violence. The emphasis is placed on the multiplayer experience, who undermines the enjoyment for players accustomed to solo playthroughs.

Bleed on Switch works fine and seems originally designed for this new console. After four years, the game is still engaging, but 15 euros for a game that can be bought at 99 cent on Steam is a very bad marketing choice.

It's a nice title, and probably it's the Freemium formula that spoils the fun after a while. Worth a good try anyway.

A steep price tag and its repetitive nature are the worst parts of A.O.T. 2 Final Battle, but we're sure that every Attack on Titan fan out there will appreciate the countless hours of grinding and fanservice that this title can provide.

The game is fun and an interesting take on a sempiternal classic, but unfortunately is not deep as we wished.

A game that could have been a masterpiece, has some amazing and imaginative visuals, as well as a boring and repetitive gameplay. A pity.

Broken Sword 5 arrives on Switch with no significant new elements. After the first two chapters, this is probably the best of the series, with a good plot and well written enigmas.

Colossatron is the latest game developed by Halfbrick. The app is colorful and the gameplay is intuitive and fun. The longevity is not great but the replayability value is very high. Colossatron is engaging and destroying the world has never been so much fun.

A nice little real time strategy game, that walks in the same boots of its predecessor (which was considerably longer), except for adding more humour, more difficult final stages and brighter graphics. Pity, then, that's a little expensive for what it offers.

A huge role-playing game in its purest form, and you won't find any simplifications typical of today's games.

It's surprising how Telltale, after so many titles, still shows this kind of ambition, adding tons of new content and brand new ideas to the classic gameplay. On the other hand, it's a real shame that every new piece of gameplay doesn't feel as connected and polished as the good old stuff, resulting in a mixed final product.

X-Men Origins Wolverine is a thrilling action game, and it delivers all the violence and the testosteronic action that Logan's fans were asking for. A great combat system is mixed with good level design; on the other side, the difficulty level is not challenging, and there's a lot of repetitiveness in the second half.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is a step backward in this new spin-off series. It has a lot of content, but the episodic nature of the game has contributed some problems to the story and the gameplay, both of which are full of fillers.

Carrion is brilliant take on the metroidvania genre, a game where you control a creature that feasts on human bodies and grows as it develops new and deadly skills. It is another incredible and crazy Devolver Digital game.

Content-wise, it is anything but exceptional, and survives only thanks to the variety of its gameplay. The fineness of the game mechanics and the quality of the experience with friends, however, are so high that we find it difficult not reward it.

After the first few hours, we thought of Tokyo Xanadu as an uninspired Persona 5 clone. After more than seventy hours in, we think otherwise: this is one of the finest action RPGs Vita has seen in the last few years.

Sundered is a good metroidvania with astonishing art design. The procedural generation of the enemies is a bit problematic and the difficulty is not well-balanced. Nonetheless, it represents a significant step forward for Thunder Lotus Games.

Just like with the recent Resident Evil remakes, Capcom nails it once again, and Sir Arthur gets the treatment he deserves after 35 years of service. This is as difficult as the player wants it to be, and so newcomers are welcome, and should not miss this gem of an action platformer.

Ara: History Untold was supposed to be the game that, after nearly eight years, could make us forget Civilization VI. However, it seems that once again, we'll have to wait for the seventh installment to lose ourselves, one turn at a time. The title, developed by Oxide Games, looks very promising. It has a visually striking graphical style and some interesting flashes of brilliance. However, it’s a strategy game whose core focus is hard to grasp, and it falls victim to overwhelming micromanagement that permeates every turn. This has drawn attention away from areas that needed more care, such as diplomacy, technology, and those essential late-game variations.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 is divided into two souls, which both have a fundamental weight: the first is the indisputable value of the works it includes, which in many aspects are still unmatched and unmissable for understanding the communicative power of the video game. On the other side of the coin, and absolutely not up to par, we find the work of re-proposal carried out for this box set, which is limited to the homework, almost as if having to start these games was a nuisance to be done as soon as possible and with minimal effort. The result is a collection that winks at those who already loved Metal Gear Solid, which is unlikely to be able to make new fans discover the saga because it makes no effort in that direction, partially embellished with bonuses that are however forgettable. If this is the modus operandi envisaged for future box sets, including prices, things could get thornier, because - perhaps beyond Metal Gear Solid 4, still confined to PS3 - neither the excellent Peace Walker nor MGSV enjoy the driving force of the extraordinary original trilogy. And if it is true that you can never say goodbye to yesterday , and Konami knows this very well, in this case it would be difficult to think that the best is yet to come.
