Goodbye Volcano High is a very intriguing graphic adventure that intelligently explores sensitive themes such as those related to the LGBTQIA+ community and climate change. It weaves a compelling story around these topics and presents a cast of characters that are easy to connect with. While it may have some minor flaws that prevent it from receiving higher ratings, it still manages to offer something meaningful to anyone who plays it – and that's no small feat.

It's surprising how Telltale, after so many titles, still shows this kind of ambition, adding tons of new content and brand new ideas to the classic gameplay. On the other hand, it's a real shame that every new piece of gameplay doesn't feel as connected and polished as the good old stuff, resulting in a mixed final product.

Humankind is layered and a breath of fresh air for 4X lovers, but the annoying UI is the real enemy here.

Despite it could have had more free songs (you have to pay a subscription to unlock the game's full potential), Rhythm Festival still manages to be enjoyable and extremely fun.

It's Mario Kart made SEGA style. Funny and well designed, it delivers the fun you expect from it. Sadly the biggest flaw is frame rate, and that's a big mistake for a game based on speed. Also, a general lack of new ideas sets it in a medium range.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 may not represent the pinnacle of the series or the start of a new era, but it firmly halts the franchise's steady decline, delivering a quality entry—arguably the best in the past decade. The campaign is surprisingly engaging and varied, though not quite on par with the series' top classics, and the same holds true for the zombie mode. With more focus on innovation and map quality in multiplayer, the game could have reached even higher scores, but there's room for improvement with post-launch updates. Overall, it’s an unexpected return to form.

Shank is a 2D beat'em up with a great style and gameplay; on the other hand, a poor replay value and a short main story don't make it one of the tops.

Magna Carta II is a pleasant surprise. The title does not revolutionize the genre, nor try to establish itself as a new landmark, but it can really offer a solid gameplay, vast and multifaceted. What's more, the unique combat system manages to be original in its own way and certainly is engaging. This also applies to the plot and especially the characterization of the characters, who will be able to absorb you in the magic world designed by Softmax. Never mind if technically we are back a few years of the competition, Magna Carta II is an enjoyable and durable game, that JRPG fans will certainly find rewarding and engaging enough, waiting the eternally delayed masterpieces.

Charming, and magic in some way. Sadly the core hasn't changed in the last seventeen years, except for the graphics, and this can be a pain for all the new-generation players. The old aficionados will still enjoy it, despite the wiping of a higher difficulty level.

Mixing a strong horror atmosphere and a solid “slo-mo” gameplay, F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin shines for the extension of the new levels. Its linearity isn’t necessarily a drawback (at least not for “old style” FPS fans), but it could still spoil the fun for next gen gamers, used to much more “open” games. Despite all of this, Monolith’s baby delivers a solid experience, and every FPS fan should at least give it a good try.

Black Ops 7 is yet another confirmation that Call of Duty can still entertain, but not surprise. The campaign feels like a firework that lasts only a few moments, Endgame tries to make an impression but is quickly forgotten, while multiplayer and Zombies uphold the honor and glory of this new chapter.

All in all, Sonic x Shadow Generations has definitely exceeded our expectations. The second adventure dedicated to Shadow, which initially seemed like just a DLC, turns out to be something much more substantial, both in terms of length and concept, combining the best of the boost era with ideas taken from Sonic's new direction. While the game lacks the surprise factor it had in 2011, we're still talking about a new 3D Sonic chapter that's incredibly fun to play. Which is no small feat, as the history of this character has shown us.

A nice blend of strategy and RPG, this King Arthur delivers good fun. It won't match the Total War absolute RTS perfectionism, neither the depth of real RPG, but it's still an original and entertaining title.

Citizen Sleeper 2: Stairward Vector represents a step forward from the previous game and once again adheres to the canons of classic tabletop RPGs. While this will please purists, others may have some impatience with the static nature of the action, which despite the additions offers little dynamism and a really significant amount of text.
