Assassin’s Creed The Rebel Collection does not bring anything new to the series, yet this was expected. Fortunately the Nintendo Switch conversion went unharmed, and both games allow two big single-player “pirate simulators” to be portable. Shay and Edward suffer little technical issues but their respective design limits are counteracted by each other, even for the majority of the public only Black Flag will be worth the buy. Only for collection or if you didn’t have the chance to play these games on current gen.

Just like the symphonies that inspired its musical score, Eternal Sonata starts out slowly, making breach in the hearts and soul of the players. On the other side, fast paced battles keep the gameplay alive. Indeed, an interesting diversion from the well known themes of this next-gen. Love it or hate it, there’s no compromise; give it a good try, it could be the best JRPG experience you’ve ever had.

The 3DS version of this underrated classic finally comes to Europe, bringing a solid, dark and difficult RPG to a dying console, that still refuses to let go in its sunset days. Don't miss out on this one if you're a fan of role-playing games.

Football Manager 2023 is a solid iteration of one of the most beloved sim franchises on the market. It's addictive as usual, it adds some welcomed new features and an extra layer of strategy and official licenses. Now all that remains is to fix the abnormal injury rate and we're done.

It's a funny new take on arcade driving, filled with content. Fans of the original will find the gameplay completely transformed, as the map offers a more strategic point of view, but it's still an enetertaining and long lasting arcade experience.

Blood & Truth is a great example of how far Playstation VR has come in these past few years. The game is incredibly immersive and fun, although it lacks in originality.

All in all, Sonic x Shadow Generations has definitely exceeded our expectations. The second adventure dedicated to Shadow, which initially seemed like just a DLC, turns out to be something much more substantial, both in terms of length and concept, combining the best of the boost era with ideas taken from Sonic's new direction. While the game lacks the surprise factor it had in 2011, we're still talking about a new 3D Sonic chapter that's incredibly fun to play. Which is no small feat, as the history of this character has shown us.

Wii Sports Resort is proof of the full maturity of the Wii’s control system. Thanks to the Wii Motion Plus you can really do something unbeliveable in the past. Wii Sports Resort is a great title, which captures immediately casual and harddcore gamer. Unlike its predecessor, offers an high-level single player and you can play it for days. We don’t emphasize how much fun can give playing it in two or more people: it’s an experience that can make you laugh for hours and hours. Resort is undoubtedly Nintendo’s second great evolution.

It's still a delight to play both Lunar games, as they are innocent and delightfully simple in their plots, but also full of unforgettable characters and emotions, but this package does the bare minimum to make them palatable also for newcomers and not only for nostalgic players. Also, why French and German subtitles and no Italian localization?

Outlast is a very positive note in the current gaming landscape and a pearl in the horror genre. The atmosphere is reminiscent of movies like Rec, and the game follows the trend of the modern horror film, shot in first person.

Ninja Gaiden 2 Black it’s a breathless challenge, a true test for anyone who dares to call themselves an old-school gamer. There are no compromises here: every victory is hard-earned, every defeat a lesson, every battle a trial of reflexes and strategy. In an era of increasingly accessible games, Ninja Gaiden 2 Black is a monument to pure skill, a fierce and unforgettable experience. And that’s exactly how it should be.

Wanderstop has two main strengths. As a cozy game, it works very well—the gameplay loop is simple and relaxing, avoiding the usual performance-driven clichés of many modern titles. From a narrative perspective, the story is effective and highlights real-life situations that, unfortunately, most of us can relate to in some way. That said, it falls far short of the high standards set by Wreden and Zimonja’s previous works. Comparing it to The Stanley Parable or Gone Home simply doesn’t hold up. Wanderstop lacks the experimental madness we often hoped to witness, and its storytelling unfolds rather predictably, with plot twists appearing only when strictly necessary.

It's a shame that NIS and Falcom both decided to bring Trails from Zero in Europe only after the vastly superior Trails of Cold Steel series. This way a very solid if formulaic JRPG as this does not get the attention it deserves, due also to a lazy remastering process.
