If you like turn-based RPGs or card games, or both, then you can't go wrong with Steamworld Quest hand of Gilgamech, a funny romp through a gorgeous (albeit small) world. Another enthralling game from Image & Form.

It has a gigantic amount of content. It doesn’t matter if you usually buy CoD for its multiplayer or single-player campaign, you will have a lot to play, and we mean A LOT. The fast-paced gameplay is also still there, with a bunch of new mechanics that help keeping the experience fresh. Technically it’s starting to show some wrinkles, and the storyline could be better, but among arcade shooters this is still the top of the line. Now let’s see where the series goes from here.

A pure tribute to the arcade games of the 80s, like Ghost'n Goblins or Rastan. It is a not a mere copy but it has a own soul, universe and mythology inspired by the medieval spanish tradition.

If you love Wipeout or F-Zero, Redout will be a joy: the game is fast, ferocious, and challenging. The only flaws lie in the career mode, a bit confused in some aspects. All in all, this seems to be a game that you must buy if you are into driving arcade games.

A zero-hassle remaster of a great action hack 'n' slash. The combat system is still great, even if inferior to that of some Japanese games of the same genre, and the graphics have aged extraordinarily well. Still, as we said, a lot more could have been done in this remaster.

Black Myth: Wukong captures attention with its impressive graphics and the allure of Chinese mythology, but despite the visual experience and a promising combat system, the game suffers from several issues that prevent it from excelling.

If you're willing to go back to being a child and let yourself be carried away by the logic that governed your childhood games, when the joy of discovery and the most surreal imagination ruled supreme, then Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is the game for you. For everyone else, you can safely knock a couple of points off this review's score and keep it in mind exclusively as a gift for a much younger player, who will absolutely love figuring out how to "torture" a poor little smiling flower by swallowing it, throwing it in the mud, launching it down a hill, or making it ride Yoshi through a flowery field.

If you were looking for a game that really offered the unique gameplay Nintendo was promising for its console, then look no further than Affordable Space Adventures, whose blend of puzzle and stealth sequences is as enjoyable as intoxicating. It is over way too soon, but remains a great showcase for the GamePad capabilities.

Senua's Saga is as strong as its predecessor, if not more, and delivers both in its storytelling and on the technical side. The gameplay, however, has still a lot of room for improvements and boils down to almost-QTE combat and boring puzzles. An experience more than an actual and so-called video game, but an experience worth living nonetheless.

More a continuation of the events of the first game than a proper sequel, Trails of Cold Steel II is "more of the same" done right, as the basic gameplay of the prequel didn't need changes. While a no brainer for veterans, this second chapter is not recommended for newcomers, who should pick up the first title to have an understanding of the world and characters.

It's a sound evolution for the series, but it maintains the tactical and complex gameplay that makes it so loved in its niche of players. From certain angles, it's also probably the best game in the series, even if there are still quite a bunch of things that could be perfected (most of all unit balancing and graphics).
