Ghost 1.0 is a great Metroidvania, with some defects as an irregular difficulty curve and some game design choices that do not always work well. However, the plot is well-written and the gameplay is extremely functional.

Castlevania Advance Collection is a great nostalgic experience, a pure 2D action adventure compilation.

Outlast 2 investigates human perversion from the point of view of a pseudo-religion and its most obscene drifts. It keeps the structure of the previous chapter and manages to satisfy hardcore horror lovers.

Bethesda's task when converting Skyrim to Playstation VR was not a simple one, but we can now say that they've achieved their goal, creating a new and exciting version of the game we all know and love.

Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King is a great Zelda-like game that reminds masterpieces like A Link to the Past. It fits perfectly on the Switch and is funny and entertaining.

The Messenger is yet another quality indie title that comes to Nintendo Switch this year: if you've grown up playing Ninja Gaiden or any Castlevania game (both pre and post Symphony of the Night), this is the adventure you've been waiting for.

March of the Eagler is a good, slightly less complex but not simple at all, strategy game that follows the steps of games like Crusader Kings II and Sengoku. When you start playing it sucks you in a world of napoleonic warfare.

What a delightful and funny adventure West of Loathing is, a unique blend of a very simple turn-based role playing game and an old time point and click adventure. It's a perfect companion for lazy Sundays and hard day's nights.

Panic Button's work is commendable. On Nintendo Switch, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus offers the same quality of the original adventure, without altering the great personality of MachineGame's work. We can therefore unleash Terror Billy's fury against the Nazi army, embracing dozens of guns and experimenting original mechanics, at any time and in any place. The price to pay will be slightly limited graphics, but that does not hinder the dynamism that characterizes the action-packed gunplay.

Sort of a Megaman encyclopedia, even if it's missing some chapters, and a fundamental collection for any fan of the franchise. Obviously a great buy even for those gamers who are just searching for some good old challenge. Fans of the Zero series will unfortunately have to wait for another collection.

Cairn is a surprising title. It’s a game that constantly communicates with the player, and it works harder than many others—blockbusters included—to create an incredible sense of connection between player and played. Climbing, its fatigue, its meaning, are portrayed exceptionally well by the team at The Game Bakers and, provided you’re willing to compromise with gameplay that refuses any compromise at all, if you choose to be patient, you’ll be rewarded with an outstanding, galvanizing, and in many ways unforgettable experience.

Twisted Metal is back with its chaotic and amazing multiplayer. Unfortunately, the single-player campaign is pretty boring and from a technical standpoint the game feels a bit "old". Still, if you want a brutally fun online experience, this is the game for you.

Sonic Lost World is certainly not a Sonic-themed Mario Galaxy. Yet, this is the most advanced and most comprehensive Sonic of the last years. Those who expected a masterpiece will probably be disappointed, but this time what we got is - at least - a good game.

As Tom Hullet said, this Silent Hill is a "fresh start" for the main saga. A new brilliant idea brings the player in a frozen world populated by ugly monsters without any weapons for self-defense. Unluckily, the exploration and escaping phases are completely separated from each other, knowing this the core experience looses its charm.

Deus Ex Human Revolution: Director's Cut is, without any doubt, the ultimate version of the masterpiece by Eidos Montreal, and the WiiU Gamepad even manages to ennoble it by adding further interesting mechanics. Unfortunately, the price is way too high for a two-year-old game.

We are not yet before the definitive Battlefield and not a 1:1 clone of Battlefield 3. The general balance will still require work, and the hope is that post-launch support will introduce more varied and open maps. However, the foundations are incredibly solid. You can feel the passion and the will of DICE and the Battlefield Studios to get back on track, to listen to their community, and to give back to Battlefield the crown it deserves.
