Despite its smart minigames, Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain offers to the player very little reasons to get back in to the game later. It's a fun experience to play with friends and family, but it lacks replay value and fails in creating something new in the brain games genre.

Resident Evil 4 on Nintendo Switch is always a masterpiece, and still the same port we have seen on every other platform.

Samurai Warriors 4 is a step in the right direction for Koei Tecmo, even though it is still deeply rooted in the tradition of the musou franchises, famous for button mashing gameplay and stereotyped characters.

Compared to Arise: a Simple Story, After Us represents an evolution. Despite that, the game fails to accomplish its mission and remains a step back from the modern games standards.

Crazy Taxi Rush City is the latest game developed by SEGA. The game is an endless runner that, thanks to the very particular context, brings something original to a very popular genre. The gameplay is extremely repetitive and the game is ruined by constant and annoying ads and the presence of In-App Purchases is invasive.

Nintendo, instead of developing an experience specifically created for Nintendo Wii U, decided to show in Mario Party 10 the same formulas of the previous titles, finishing inexorably to offer something already seen.

Resistance Burning Skies made us angry: expectations were high, and not all were disappointed, but the general impression is that with greater care and attention to detail, it could have easily become a must buy, bolstered by a well-designed control system, a large arsenal and a funny multiplayer. As it stands, however, is only recommended for fans of the genre or of the Resistance brand.

A puzzle game with a pleasant narrative, and a decent voice acting. Still, the gameplay relies on puzzles not always satisfying, and the physics is not so precise in some occasions.

All in all, The Godfather II goes on the same path of its predecessor: funny gameplay, but repetitive, cool design, but graphics look old. You can squeeze the best out of it while managing your rackets, but the fun won’t last long, and won’t leave much behind when it’s over.

Four years later, Darkstar One comes back on the Xbox 360 identical to the PC version and well adapted for console controllers. The experience is quite deep and lets the player enjoy many different missions, but in the end you will find yourself fighting too often. Also, technically suffers its age, despite the 1080p resolution. If you like the genre, anyway, this game is at the moment your only choice.

Even if sold stand alone on consoles, The Sims 3 Pets is just an expansion pack: it won't revolutionize the gameplay of the third chapter, and some gameplay feature aren't deep as we would've liked. Add bugs and missing optimization on consoles, and what you have is a title suited just for sims maniac.

The stylistic choices and the intention to offer a game that challenges the conventions of the sci-fi horror genre are commendable, but the overall feeling is one of a missed opportunity. If you're a fan of the genre and looking for an experience that challenges your perceptions, KARMA: The Dark World is still a title worth exploring, but with the awareness that it never fully reaches the potential greatness it could have.

It has quality in some of its parts, and some dogfights are truly fun and exciting. Unfortunately there are some big problems: the challenge level of some missions is completely unbalanced, and technically the game has a lot of glaring flaws.

Redux: Dark Matters is a game to be taken into consideration if you are just in love with R-Type, and if you look for an old fashioned a shoot 'em up with something more modern. The problem is that the game does not excel in anything, offering solid game mechanics but without major innovations.

First Light is a disposable DLC, a simple addition of a handful of hours only useful to learn more about the story of Fetch and give us a curious back story. However, it's unable to offer that something extra that really makes the difference.

WWE 2K15 is a technical step forward, but falls short of the expectations due to some uncautios changes to the gameplay. We knew it would've been a chapter of transition, but its failings are too many and make it even worse than some of its most recent predecessors.

A well-made representative of the virtually disappeared combat arcade racing games genre, offers a compelling gameplay and a well-structured progression system. Things already available in the previous free-to-play version apart from the career mode that, ultimately, doesn't add much to the whole experience.
