I can't say I didn't have fun with Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition. Far from it. This collection just goes to show how timeless these classic NES games were. However, they're still just relics of a bygone era, and this collection doesn't bring anything new or extra to the table to justify such a hefty price tag.- SECTOR.sk

One of the best urban strategies comes from Slovakia, and in addition to its complexity, it also impresses with its setting in the period of socialism. The gameplay of Tour de France 2024 is engaging, especially for road cycling fans. However, it's almost identical to its predecessor and technically outdated in graphics, animations, and basic physics, with issues like invisible walls. With only a small team of developers, Super Sly Fox has managed to create a modern filmmaking tycoon game that gives you all the tools to build your own successful film studio. However, the game lacks the depth to keep you glued to the director's chair for dozens of hours. Blockbuster Inc. is a beautiful ode to both the magical world of filmmaking and management games. But after a while, the game becomes very repetitive, lacks any real challenge, and fails to motivate players to continue creating new films.- SECTOR.sk

The new Riven is a polished relic from a bygone era when games were made very differently. And played very differently. It offers a very different experience to what's on the market today. Overall, the new F1 24 game is a weaker addition to the series, it doesn't add much news this year, it doesn't even have a story mode, and the authors have changed the physics model. An expansion as complex as Shadow of the Erdtree has no real right to be labeled as a traditional DLC. Two-year long development cycle has spawned another story rich soulslike adventure across the Lands Between, or rather its shadowy counterpart. It is a world truly deprived of grace that unfortunately suffers from a few technical issues too, but it never fails to just simply awe. The beauty of cosmic horror shows best in the recreation of something known, into something unknown. Similarly, The Chinese Room’s newest title Still Wakes The Deep transforms their established formula into something newish and isolates this terrorizing idea onto a secluded oil rig located in the Northern Sea where it gives into this genre’s beauty. Unique Scottish setting, unfathomably well-designed story, and dense audio design with great visuals push this glorified walking sim into a terrifying realm and serve players a true one-of-a-kind experience.- SECTOR.sk

A quarter of a century is a long time to develop a sequel to a cult classic and Outcast - A New Beginning certainly shows this in its outdated approach to mechanics, animation, and technical development. The sequel certainly contains a list of non-negligible shortcomings, however, its magical charm that combines a world similar to the Avatar movies and player freedom best known from the Just Cause series overshines many of them! We often regard remakes and remasters as a corporate form of quick profit, but every now and then a unique title like Brothers Remake appears unexpectedly and you finally recognize what a true videogame labor of love is. It’s a project created with passion and true dedication of the authors to recreate something resembling the original as closely as possible and yet sprinkle here and there a little bit of originality and tiny improvements. Even though this tale of two sons is more than ten years old, this remake shows that it is still worth telling!- SECTOR.sk

Ubisoft has offered a decent base for an online pirate game, perhaps without a lot of variety yet, but it still has atmosphere and depth in terms of upgrading ships, building new ships, as well as trading and, of course, combat.- SECTOR.sk

Olympic Peninsula and its Exclusion Zone have hidden many secrets for more then three decades and now, after I got pulled in by a mysterious anomaly, it is finally time to reveal them all! But this is no happy tale of a handsome protagonist, but a mere mortal driver’s storyline, which wiggles and twists around a postapocalyptic wasteland. And what better tool to navigate it than a sturdy vehicle, armored with the knowledge of brilliant scientists and quirky tech, that will surely protect me from the horrors of this dystopian world…- SECTOR.sk

Turn-based battles on parchment with ink animations are interesting not only in appearance, but also in gameplay. Although there are also certain pitfalls. However, the originality of the game cannot be denied.- SECTOR.sk

The rich took off to Mars quite some time ago and now the toxic Earth is ruled by the orphans of the apocalypse. But one of these cubs is extra curious in the ways of humans compared to the others. Raised by the wolves, equipped with a dead astronaut’s helmet with Nostalgia radio and well skilled for parkour traversal of this dead man’s land. Are you brave enough to embark with him on this short yet dark adventure across the dangerous surfaces of our planet, overtaken by the forces of sci-fi nature and ready to face-off any unwanted intruders?- SECTOR.sk

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered is a game created by fans for fans. The team, consisting of modders and enthusiasts, aimed to bring Lara's original adventures into the modern world. However, the gameplay of these '90s gems has not aged well, and our impressions of them have been largely influenced by nostalgia. While the modern controls and graphical upgrades suggest that this is a contemporary game for a modern audience, it's more likely that the games will be primarily enjoyed by those nostalgic for the original titles.- SECTOR.sk

The add-on, with ten purely military missions, has quality content, but there are also flaws on the battlefield. However, you get a solid campaign for a very favorable price.- SECTOR.sk

The gameplay is really good and the levels are perfectly designed for players of all ages. There's also no shortage of content, and 130 levels is a nice portion, although you could probably do with a few dozen more. The audio-visual design matches the game nicely. However, there are a few minor flaws and the price is quite high.- SECTOR.sk

Overall, Helldivers 2 is a decent co-op game. It's simple, easy to play and quick to get into. Maybe it's not a AAA title by any means and don't expect a story, cutscenes, top graphics, but the gameplay here is good and at the same time the price is quite low.- SECTOR.sk

Long live the spirits! Or rather not? The main characters of the game know about it, but their destinies are affected by an unexpected event and certainty turns into doubt. You will fight and explore the landscape, but the most interesting are definitely ghost stories.- SECTOR.sk

It is difficult to judge a game like this. In a year's time, it could be something completely different. The campaign can be rewritten, expanded, modified. The gameplay can change, new characters, enemies, missions and so on can be added. Equally, a year from now, the servers may be down and the game box may just be an unusable artifact on a shelf somewhere. For now, though, it's like this. Good story, good co-op, good action and an absolutely great audio experience. But on top of that, some uninteresting missions, technical problems & outdated graphics.- SECTOR.sk

VR Skater is not a bad game, but it could have been better and more varied. More maps, more modes, more songs in the soundtrack, and perhaps more attention to detail in the design of the game itself. All of this would have added to the game and made for a more enjoyable experience.- SECTOR.sk

Chessarama is a fine chess experience, enriching the world's most famous board game with new challenges and mini-games that offer a fresh perspective on what can be done with chess pieces. Sadly, however, the developers have resigned themselves to trying to deliver something more and something deeper.- SECTOR.sk
