I wonder what horrors await me in Dead Effect 3, and I mean it not in a good way because this game fails as first-person shooter.

You won't find a shred of originality here, but who cares! This is Doom you were looking for. Or, technically, its remake.

Fighting feels sluggish. Come on, this is supposed to be wrestling as seen on TV! Even though there is more moves and combos than in Virtua Fighter 5, the action doesn't "click" as good as it should.

I fell in love with Team Fortress 2 because in that game, you win by being smart and considerate instead of quickly sniping off everyone you see. Overwatch improves on this concept tenfold.

Despite truly ancient visuals, this is the best heir of Crimsonland that I've ever played.

Walking around Philadelphia, you may stumble upon a place where some madman was conducting sadistic experiments of people, or an old man's house packed to the rafters with traps, and you realize that the developers of Homefront: The Revolution do have talent. Unfortunately, instead of an original game, they produced a ho-hum FPS that tries to please everyone but falls flat in execution.

Don't Starve Together does little to fix the original's glaring problems, but still, conquering the wilderness together with friends is a lot of fun.

A devilishly fast, fun, exciting multiplayer platformer, SpeedRunners is an excellent party game when playing in Steam's Big Picture mode.

It will take you around 6 hours to beat Shadwen, but I suggest you avoid it altogether. This game is not worth your time.

If you want to look at Earth from its orbit, the interactive museum of Adrift will take you on an atmospheric, beautiful tour "with no strings attached". If you expect a deep, thought-provoking, or simply engaging game about space — try your luck somewhere else.

It seems that From Software has finally realized that bad game design decisions were a poor addition to an already uncompromising game, and fixed them, while keeping the same level of ruthlessness.

The fourth installment of Uncharted is exactly what you were waiting for: awesome action sequences, kick-ass graphics, and, finally, a full point in the story of Nathan Drake.

By shuffling off the burden of mundanities on AI, the developers created a near-perfect generator of puzzles, but made quite a few mistakes on the technical side of things.

Day of the Tentacle did not age at all. It looks and plays as if they made it just yesterday. Thanks to Double Fine, we can once again enjoy a good adventure game, which, despite some flaws, is leaps and bounds better than many recent offerings in the genre.

Sheltered’s biggest letdown is the lack of any emotional hooks. It is pretty much a grindfest where even the darkest scenes and seeing people suffering will leave you cold.

Story-wise, the Banner Saga 2 is not a stand-alone installment; it’s just a few chapters of a riveting book that end on a cliffhanger. It is definitely worth buying, but don’t play it just yet, and wait for the final part.

It feels like they conceived this game on a remote island or in a fallout shelter; it is absolutely devoid of any modern ideas, but offers many wild mutations of outdated ones.

Back in 2007, I gave 75% to the original Gears of War, and this Ultimate Edition merits the same score, because if you take out the nostalgia factor and updated graphics, no virtues and shortcomings have changed a bit.

It would have been more honest to call this release a “Preview” or “Early Access” while the developers listen to feedback on several controversial gameplay features, add new levels, fix bugs and deal with server outages. It is easy to get annoyed at all these problems because they spoil a good game.

Pretty visuals do more harm than good to Layers of Fear. The game looks like a sleek, smart, serious interactive experience, but in reality, it disappoints every step of the way.
