Furi is a fine example of intelligent game design, which brings back the "skill" factor, contrary to the today's hand-holding games. Furi requires your full attention in order to watch the end credits and for sure you will not regret the ride.

As you journey down the Echo, the ancestral darkness of River Lethe, you remember. Kentucky Route Zero has now transcended the video game medium and has become an incredibly strong argument for video games as a pure art form.

This Is The Police is a gritty, uncompromising narrative about the dark depths of obsession that drive a man and his demons. Fiercely addictive, the tale of one’s man final bid for redemption in a city spiraling out of control is this summer’s surprise indie breakout hit.

I Am Setsuna is a likeable JRPG, which can be compared to the tribute acts. They can seamlessly play the classic compositions of the band they love, but they are never as good as the originals.

Even though it’s the first attempt of Blyts in adventure games, with limited budget available, this game gave me around 4.5 hours of fun that I would gladly repeat. At the same time it makes me wonder what else this indie Argentinian company can offer us in the future.

If you are a fan of the Match-3 puzzle game genre and you're looking for a meaty title that offers 40+ hours of fun, Tumblestone is a good choice.

DreamBreak is a reasonably priced little gem and a must-buy proposal. It's really hard to rate a game like this when the duration of the whole action is so short. With a longer gameplay of 3 or 4 hours it would be a classic.

UNILE offers a solid combat system and exciting gameplay mechanics, but some technical issues on the online mode should be fixed in order to keep gamers on playing it.

If you are thirsty for an interesting Metroidvania game, Song of the Deep is a good choice, which will keep you busy for at least seven to eight hours. It does not fit to the "elite" category, but it is a fair proposal, undoubtedly worth the asking price.

If Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” were converted to video game format, Inside would be it. A short playtime does not detract from the expertly-crafted puzzles that always reward careful observation and never overstay their welcome.

Full of the ghosts of “the game that could have been”, The Technomancer’s solid combat mechanics and well thought out character classes cannot mask the absolutely terrible voice acting and presentation of the story. Through it’s 30 plus hour campaign it is fairly impossible that you will care about any of the characters you come across. Extensive backtracking and enemy respawning will test a potential player’s goodwill to it’s limits.

It certainly has some elements that can be preserved intact for future versions of the MotoGP franchise, which undoubtedly must pay bigger attention to the realism and simulation factor. Nevertheless, I think Valentino Rossi himself must be quite happy with the overall result of the game.

Mighty No. 9 is not a tragedy of a game. It plays mainly as a nostalgia act of an old era, ignoring ostentatiously the more advanced gameplay mechanisms of the modern action/platform games. If you know what to expect, you will not have a bad time. Otherwise, it would be better to stay away.

Hearts of Iron IV is a no-nonsense strategy game. Its steep learning curve will challenge you from the start, but will reward you with one of the most satisfying experiences in the genre. Invest on it and prepare for a lot of sleepless nights.

Goodbyes are heartless. Can there ever be a “satisfactory” ending to The Longest Journey/Dreamfall? Seventeen years on the infinite roads come to a head. This is no ordinary game and as such, cannot have an ordinary ending. This one was made for the Dreamers, down to every last vignette and detail.

The impression that Mirror's Edge Catalyst leaves is like a person with bones full of calcium, covered with weak flesh. A better implementation of story, characters, mission design and combat system should be the first priorities on a future sequel.

Definitely not a bad game. It’s just that it takes a potentially dangerous route, far away from the franchise’s roots, trying to appeal to a wider audience. Inevitably it’s flirting with the more mainstream category, which may lead it to be lost in the pile of that overloaded market and at the same time disappoint the loyal fans of Sherlock Holmes games.

Scrap Garden is a very charming and relaxing 3D platform game to spend an afternoon or two and its simplistic gameplay and low difficulty make it a decent point of entry for children or beginners to the genre. With its main drawbacks being little duration and lack of sufficient adrenaline inducing set pieces, I would be hard pressed to recommend it for a full price.

We really hope and wish that Demetrios will bring COWCAT and Fabrice Breton the money needed to proceed with the creation of the next game, mostly in order to see if the talented French has something better and more imaginative to offer us in terms of script and overall story. All the other elements of Demetrios leave no doubt that through it a highly capable and ambitious developer was successfully introduced to all of us.

A living, breathing, Cezanne that will not hesitate to cover itself in blood, wink bitterly at you as it runs deeper down the rabbit hole and whose propensity to stun, mesmerize and redefine everything you thought you knew about the concept of “expansion packs”, will have a lasting impact upon the video game industry. Unforgettable.

The difference between a seminal and successful game and a game that ended up in no man's land between genres, is player attraction and retention. By marrying MOBA with FPS, Battleborn attempts to tap on both audiences yet it runs the danger to prove itself too much of a shooter for the MOBA diehards and too much of a MOBA for the FPS crowd.

It might not really be the “Multiplayer Shooter to end all Multiplayer Shooters” (not quite yet, anyway), but Blizzard’s Overwatch masterfully manages to find the sweet spot between accessibility, class balance, competitive multiplayer and pure, unadulterated fun.

Tindalos Interactive’s capital ship combat RTS provides a mix of deep, tactical gameplay and epic Warhammer 40K atmosphere. It misses on a “classic” status because of repetition in mission types and maps during the game’s lengthy campaign but it is still highly recommended for fans of the genre.

The fantasy setting of Warhammer provides the perfect canvas for the mass-scale battles of the Total War series. While very approachable to potential new players, it will appease the demands of seasoned veterans. Creative Assembly has managed to capture the essence of Warhammer and transfers its epic feel in their best iteration of the Total War series, yet. All this has been delivered in a stellar performance-optimized package. It's a title which should not be missed.
