It all just works, and we absolutely cannot recommend Geometry Wars 3 highly enough.

Whether you're into building giant masterpieces, defeating boss monsters for awesome loot, or exploring the depths of the map, Terraria offers up a variety of experiences and lets you pick and choose how to play based on your mood.

Assassin's Creed Rogue isn't the cash grab many assumed it would be, and ultimately is an enjoyable experience and fitting end to the Kenway trilogy.

It's a fun game, but with realistically only six hours of playing time on hand, it may leave you wanting.

There's definitely something here for fans of both Adventure Time and Zelda, but because of its familiar design, and because there are consistent imperfections to put up with, the adventure isn't as mathematical as it clearly could've been. We suggest waiting for a price cut or sticking to a rental if you're on the fence.

Wrestling superfans will get more out of the game than others, obviously, as the true-to-life presentation is pretty nice, with all the logos, arenas, music, and wrestlers that you could hope for. However, there’s a distinct feeling that the game was rushed to meet a deadline – something that’s only backed up by the two-week delay from which the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game suffered.

For those new to the universe of Halo, a vast array of single and multiplayer content awaits, all revolving around one of the greater ongoing stories available in gaming and featuring the franchise's hallmark genre-defining arena combat. For the more initiated, a chance to go back and relive many fond moments from a whole new perspective, is also a boon.

Not only is Persona 4 Arena Ultimax a must play for Persona fans, we'd go as far to say that it's a must play for fighting game fans as well.

LEGO Batman 3 offers a lot of entertainment and is a pleasant experience overall – from the dialogue, to the little winks at pop culture, to the actual gameplay.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 is a massive improvement on last year’s edition of the game. The general off-pitch interface is still pretty amateurish and clunky in places and desperately needs a full overhaul.

In short, Pure Pool is an excellent simulation of the sport of pool, but everything outside of the cue-to-ball action itself is lazily done.

Whether you can get over these glaring flaws or not is going to probably be the main thing that affects your opinion. We fought through the overall unpolished finish of the product, and we were glad that we did so, but this really isn't how anyone can reasonably have expected the game to have turned out.

It isn't perfect, but this should provide hours upon hours of gory, blunt object, rabid deer and zombie-filled entertainment.

Trust us when we say that Danger of the Ooze should be avoided. We’re fans of Metroidvanias, TMNT and WayForward, and we could barely stomach finishing this half-baked adventure — it’s sloppy, rushed, and laden with bugs.

While this review of The Legend of Korra reads like a laundry list of problems, there are times when the game is genuinely enjoyable and shows masses of promise. Those times are all too rare however, and you’re less likely to be cracking a smile than you are to be cursing at a game engine that feels cheap, rushed, unpolished, and simply not good enough to compete.

If you own an Xbox One, this is a must-have game.

It's great fun in short bursts though and fans of the genre will enjoy the challenges offered by some of the more intense game modes.

However, the game itself can be more-or-less completed without additional purchases and is such a wonderfully-crafted and enjoyable experience that even without spending extra cash, it will keep kids (and adults…this reviewer is 33 and has about 25 hours logged so far with a lot more to come) busy for a good long time.

The Evil Within feels like an old-school survival game made for the new-school generation. It doesn’t ignore what modern horror games brought to the genre, but it scales it down and puts the focus back on actually surviving.

The world needs more games like this.

If you never had the chance to experience the game a year ago, then the Definitive Edition is an absolute no-brainer. In fact, we’re even slightly envious of those people that waited, because Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is one of the Xbox One's best games.

As usual, swinging through New York City as Spider-Man is an exhilarating and empowering proposition, but repetitive open-world events, unfocused/unrefined story missions, and a surplus of technical hindrances/poor design choices keep The Amazing Spider-Man 2 from being a solid movie tie-in.

We aren't sure all of the design decisions work, but if you're into the concept, Commander Repeatski and crew are still assuredly worth hanging out with for a weekend or two.

Nutjitsu's biggest downfall. Being far too shallow to entertain as a main course, the repetitious gameplay — which lacks any real sense of progression outside of earning XP and leveing up — struggled to hold our attention for more than a few moments at a time.

While some archaic design choices and patience-testing difficulty spikes will attempt to compromise your enjoyment on occasion, the moments to follow generally smooth over any past transgressions.

Crimes & Punishments is one of the better, if not the best, Sherlock games out there, and if that's not saying much to you, it's also one of the better investigation-style games. The balance and variation of gameplay should be applauded.

If you were expecting Watch Dogs to take the genre in new directions then you’re going to be sorely disappointed. With that being said, Watch Dogs is still an engaging and often times surprising action game.

Murdered: Soul Suspect lingers almost exactly at the quality middle point as a game. It doesn't do anything particularly good, nor does it do anything terribly bad; it's just okay.
