It's accessible and sort of amusing for a little while, but the instant you realize the single-player element is extremely short and ultimately disappointing, you might regret the purchase.- PSX Extreme

Certainly, there are better Dragon Ball games out there (see "DBZ: Budokai 3").- PSX Extreme

The off-sync graphics are more humorous than they ought to be, the lyrics display makes it tough to keep up with subsequent verses, the censoring on some tracks is hit or miss, and the arrangement of some tracks puts focus on verses and choruses that aren't the main parts of the rap. Individually, any of those problems could be forgiven. Taken together, they make it tough to recommend this game to longtime fans of rap and hip-hop.- PSX Extreme

If you're going to play DICE, its short-subject, arcade-style gameplay makes it easy to get through in short bursts.- PSX Extreme

A disappointment, plain and simple. The gameplay is so erratic and the AI is so obscenely challenging that you’ll likely become irritated in record time, and the old technical palette has finally outworn its welcome.- PSX Extreme

The gameplay is uninspired and repetitive, the story is a mess, nobody will care about the protagonist, and the challenge is minimal. And the worst part? Nothing about this is scary. You’ll stumble across a few appropriately freaky parts but even those begin to dwindle with time. If you want frightening, play Outlast. Otherwise, save your money and wait for something else.- PSX Extreme

A shame, not because I feel teenagers shouldn't be allowed to watch dumb women take their tops off, but because they'll end up buying a crappy game to do so.- PSX Extreme

Deadliest Catch: Sea of Chaos has a few good ideas and takes a decent stab at producing a fishing RTS of a certain kind. But controlling the boat sucks, the mini-games aren't exactly engrossing, and the total lack of intensity drags the entire experience down.- PSX Extreme

Looks like a great idea on paper, but it fails to be even mildly entertaining past the first hour of play. There’s no excuse for the game’s camera, and the long load times and slow pacing are just icing on the cake.- PSX Extreme

Alone in the Dark is ambitious, but it trips, stumbles, and…well, breaks. It’s a bad PS2 game and we can’t imagine it would get that much better on the PS3.- PSX Extreme

Really the only thing Battle Nexus has going for it is the original TMNT arcade game being included, but even that stinks because you are forced to play through a good part of the new game to unlock the 15 year old game that’s 5 times better.- PSX Extreme

It’s just nothing special, that’s all. But if you want some simple, straightforward, fairly well done FPS fun for only ten bucks (and you don’t have to go anywhere to nab it, either), feel free to give it a shot. It’s a surprisingly fast download and you’ll be blowing away baddies before you know it. Just don’t expect too much.- PSX Extreme

This is the epitome a game that was quickly thrown together with the most basic and juvenile concepts videogaming has.- PSX Extreme

"Monaco GP" and "Golden Axe" are broken to the point of being nearly unplayable, and the tandem of Tant R and Bonanza Bros. is a bonus that you'll rarely play because of how simple both games are.- PSX Extreme

Tokyo Xtreme Racer DRIFT 2 is little more than the original in disguise, and it's a poor disguise, at that. It suffers from the exact same problems, and we'd actually prefer the original because at least that one was a little more straightforward.- PSX Extreme

World Series of Poker, while delivering solid table action, just doesn't deliver the superstars and televised gloss that people are going to want out of a game carrying the WSOP license.- PSX Extreme

The scary, tingly sensation dies out way too soon when the repetition and predictability kicks in (and that doesn't take long), and although there are plenty of collectibles (puzzle pieces, case files, etc.), you have no big incentive to grab them all.- PSX Extreme

Has a few flashes of quality and originality, but it’s ultimately mired beneath a multitude of disappointing flaws. The entire game is just plain dull and the experience suffers from a distinct lack of refinement. The technical aspects are well below par, the plot and characters are of little interest, the controls and camera are wonky, and the AI is poor.- PSX Extreme

The gameplay is easily accessible and fun. There may not be a tremendous amount of depth, but the fun factor is there and that matters. The audio is poorly done, and it tends to hamper the overall presentation - luckily you can turn it off.- PSX Extreme

The multiplayer mode also feels sort of tacked on; you and a friend can head out and take on the shuffling hordes, but it's basically the same experience.- PSX Extreme

If you see it in a 99-cent bin somewhere...avoid it. If someone leaves it at your doorstep, call your local anti-terrorist organization and have forensics experts find out who would do such a heinous act. Yes, I'm being a bit harsh here, but so was Activision when they decided to create a game that offers absolutely no value, terrible gameplay, awful visuals, and poor audio and charge nearly full price for it.- PSX Extreme

The style, attitude, and ideas are all good, and the graphics aren't too bad. But the game is way too slow for a shooter, the faceless enemies never miss a shot, the AI is terrible, collision detectiion is iffy, and the extra features designed to let the game shine fall flat.- PSX Extreme

It has an interesting cast of characters, a lot of solid diversity in the environment, that patented and crisp anime artistry, and plenty of immersive depth. But on the downside, the combat feels awkward because you have to keep checking your combos, the item system is just plain ridiculous, the story is silly to the max, and despite that aforementioned variety, none of the locales really stand out.- PSX Extreme

A terrible game. It’s not fun, it’s infuriating, and it feels like a budget title that was rushed out the door. Unless you have an incredibly high tolerance for dying and repeating tasks, there’s no reason to spend another second thinking about this game.- PSX Extreme

Golden Axe: Beast Rider isn’t a very good game. It’s not quite as bad as some critics have claimed – it can be fun for a little while, and the combat system is relatively ambitious – but it’s certainly not worth your $60.- PSX Extreme
