A competent action platformer with an appealing persona and style. The music is fantastic, the voices are pleasant, and the diverse gameplay does manage to remain somewhat interesting throughout. Sadly, the pacing is off, too many of the segments don't hit home, and the designers come up a little shy when shooting for the stars.- PSX Extreme

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two has the right idea. It encourages youngsters to work together, that magical Disney quality is prevalent, and the overall design is actually quite good. But a shroud of poor mechanics and outdated technical elements dooms this potentially enjoyable adventure from the start. Bad AI, loose control, collision detection issues, and vague, sometimes boring objectives keep getting in the way.- PSX Extreme

Frantix just doesn't quite work. Seriously, ask yourself "do I find mazes fun?" For most people, the answer is no. Worse, the few diehard maze fanatics out there that actually might want a game like this will probably be turned off by its dodgy controls.- PSX Extreme

All in all, the graphics are okay, the sound is fairly good, some of the voices are solid, and the puzzles are well done. It just isn’t quite enough, you know?- PSX Extreme

There’s a solid base for a franchise in FIFA Street, but it’s buried under several layers of crap, so you’re not likely to have much fun with it.- PSX Extreme

The hack n’ slash genre has evolved quite a bit over the years, so people have come to expect more out of a game like this.- PSX Extreme

With sub-par control, a story that could be great but gets lost in a sea of loose ends, and very uninspired, tedious, and infrequent combat, Rule of Rose falls well shy of the intended mark.- PSX Extreme

And that's the theme for Splatterhouse: inconsistent, erratic, unreliable and sometimes too unforgiving.- PSX Extreme

Contrast is aptly named. Its disappointing instability contrasts sharply with its wonderful ambiance and concept, and you’re left feeling somewhat unsatisfied.- PSX Extreme

Loadout isn’t a bad game; there just isn’t much to it. If you’re worried about how a PC game translates to the PS4 controller, you’ll be happy to hear there are minimal issues. The control isn’t perfect, though, and despite the better part distribution system, there isn’t much to talk about aside from weapon crafting.- PSX Extreme

NBA Live 16 isn’t a very good game but at least the series is moving forward, albeit slowly.- PSX Extreme

I can't stress enough how dull and tedious the levels are. They totally suck the fun out of what would otherwise be a solid game.- PSX Extreme

Bolt is a good action/platformer that should be a solid choice for fans of the film. The voice acting, fast-paced gameplay, and atmosphere are most reminiscent of Bolt’s big-screen adventure, and you’re not likely to get bored.- PSX Extreme

For the time being, Defiance has started off on a relatively good note. The depth and longevity will undoubtedly cater to the MMO aficionados, the speed of the action-oriented TPS gameplay will interest some of the shooter fans, and sci-fi followers will definitely like the style and ambiance.- PSX Extreme

I could mention other issues; like the fact that the whole game barely takes 3 hours to complete, the inclusion of a lame 2-D bonus game, or the lack of any sort of multiplayer features; but to complain any further would just be beating a very dead horse.- PSX Extreme

The PlayStation 2 version of NBA 08 is nothing like its PlayStation 3 counterpart. This one fails in nearly every aspect, largely due to poor attention to detail in visuals, awful A.I., and a severe lack of new features.- PSX Extreme

A lousy game through and through. Like “The Guy Game” it provides little more than a flimsy premise to hide the fact that all there is to do is see breasts on your Playstation 2. From both a game play and technical standpoint, this game is a mess.- PSX Extreme

I feel that fans of the original two Tony Hawk titles and the SSX series will probably enjoy Downhill Jam quite a bit. It takes the series to a territory that it should’ve been at quite some time ago.- PSX Extreme

While the control is pretty solid, and the speed and action is actually very good, there is one significant flaw that permeates the entire experience: the response to your button presses is often erratic and rarely predictable or reliable.- PSX Extreme

This newest iteration of Spyro could've been a much better game had it been left an extra month in the oven for a much needed polish. There is a really solid game underneath a plethora of framerate issues that really prevented me from enjoying the game more.- PSX Extreme

But the Story Mode is just plain broken; directing with the Move and actually moving with either the left analog stick of the wireless DS3 or the Nav controller doesn't work well at all. It's just unbelievably irritating.- PSX Extreme

It’s quick, occasionally rewarding, and if you’ve got a few friends to play with, you can definitely have some fun. The control is fine and despite those technical imperfections, the game flows along relatively well. It’s just largely underwhelming and this free-to-play structure isn’t attractive.- PSX Extreme

It's just the lack of visibility and a pervading feeling of not knowing where the opposition is that brings this game down, along with that virtually useless offensive line.- PSX Extreme
