Anchored in its beautiful visual style and the incredible story it sets out to tell, SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered delivers the best version of Akitoshi Kawazu's magnum opus. With several adjustments to its gameplay and technical aspects, the game does exactly what one would expect from a remaster, finally allowing all the qualities of the original title to shine as they always deserved.

Few innovations and small inconsistencies in the level of difficulty and the narrative do not overshadow Pocket Bravery's excellent qualities. The game has a simple, but well-optimized combat system, and an artistic design that pays homage to the classics of an entire generation of fighting games without giving up its own, very well-constructed identity.

Koira wins over with its charming visuals, sensitive soundtrack and the affectionate relationship between the protagonist and his dog, delivering an emotionally warm experience. However, its short length, simplistic puzzles and empty areas compromise immersion and engagement. The lack of a platinum trophy also reduces the incentive to fully explore. In addition, the presence of a possible bug that directly affects the experience may prevent players from seeing the outcome of the journey.

As a combat-free metroidvania, entirely focused on environment traversal and diagram interpretation puzzles, Exographer breaks the mold of the genre and shatters expectations. What sets it apart is its focus on the field of particle physics, but it is not necessary to have prior knowledge of the subject, because, deep down, what drives its world-building is the enthusiasm of the scientific hunt for understanding the structures of the universe, celebrating each small fragment of knowledge gained. Although this does not make Exographer inaccessible to a wider audience, it defines it as a niche game that should please those interested in getting into a mix of puzzles and science.

Learning from all the mistakes of the last game's disastrous launch, The Last of Us Part II Remastered is another great port from Nixxes and Iron Galaxy Studios and the definitive way to experience Ellie and Abby's quest for revenge.

Bleach: Rebirth of Souls establishes a straightforward and relatively simple gameplay model to understand, which costs it depth and diversity, especially for the most dedicated players. Visually unstable, its narrative mode underplays the franchise's potential, making it a good fighting game, but an uninspired adaptation.

Bizarre, unfiltered and mind-blowing. The experience in KARMA: The Dark World is insane, just the way I like it and the way a psychological horror game should be. Although it has some technical issues, it manages to deliver tension without the need for overdoing the famous "jump scares".

The first in a long series of games, Never 7 - The End of Infinity didn't age so well like others from the same era and delivers an outdated experience.

Overall, Care Bears: Unlock the Magic doesn't even manage to captivate children who are less demanding with technical and audiovisual issues. Composed of mini-games blatantly copied from outmoded hits, its main mode is drowsy and poorly articulated, resulting in something bland and, worse, absolutely boring.

Warriors: Abyss is a fun spin-off that brings some good ideas to the marriage between musou and roguelite. Unfortunately, its limitations prevent it from delivering more, but it should satisfy fans of the franchise for a few hours.

AI LIMIT shines in its world design, dark setting, and strategic combat, offering a worthy challenge for fans of the soulslike genre. However, its high difficulty (and consequently recurring deaths) can be frustrating for some players. Issues such as translation errors and bugs also prevent a more refined experience. Still, for those looking for a challenging and engaging RPG, AI LIMIT delivers a rewarding experience.

The First Berserker: Khazan is yet another great action RPG that, although it uses concepts from the soulslike formula, is still able to deliver intense and satisfying combat to make it unique. Some decisions in the art direction make its visuals a little repetitive in the final stretch of the campaign, but overall it is a game easily recommended for fans of the genre.

Atomfall may be one of Rebellion's most different proposals in years, but it delivers a sandbox with investigation in an interesting and fun way. There are technical and some structural problems that are notable, but they do not take away the shine of a game that has everything to please a good portion of players.

Stainless, Age of Mythology: Retold arrives mature on PlayStation 5, bringing with it all the quality of its celebrated original version, along with all the technical and quality of life improvements of a good remaster very well adapted to the console's control system. With epic adventures worthy of the golden age of classic RTS games, it is an easy recommendation for both veterans and new enthusiasts of the genre.

Behind all the bizarre premise, KinnikuNeko: SUPER MUSCLE CAT offers a solid platform game, with a narrative that is as common as it is captivating, mixed with intense doses of action and cuteness. And if that's not enough, remember that we'll hardly see a muscular kitten beating up invading aliens again.

Based on Naoe's strength as the protagonist and the renewed focus on its stealth gameplay, Assassin's Creed Shadows is yet another resounding success for the franchise. Its only flaw is its inability to put Yasuke on the same level as his companion, a minor thing when so many other elements make it a must-have for those interested in the series or the setting.

With some slip-ups in terms of pacing and shallow unit management, Sid Meier's Civilization VII brings innovations that benefit the agility of actions and the customization of the experience based on compositions between eras and leaders. And with solid mechanics and neat visuals, it continues to be the greatest reference of the 4X genre of this generation.

WWE 2K25 continues the series' upward trend, with significant gameplay improvements and welcome tweaks to existing modes, including an excellent Showcase that somehow surpasses last year's. The problem is that its only setback is a pretty big one: the highly dispensable The Island.

Carmen Sandiego delivers an engaging experience by mixing investigation, strategy, and educational elements, while maintaining the spirit of the franchise. The game stands out for its deduction mechanics, cultural learning integrated into the gameplay, and the variety of minigames that add dynamism. However, the repetitiveness of the missions may demotivate some players in the long run, and the lack of more challenging trophies are minor disappointments. Still, its well-executed proposal and the balance between fun and learning make it a good option for fans of the saga and new players.

With the commendable boldness of mixing the format of visual novels with the language of Latin telenovelas, Destino Indomable has a passionate idea limited by all the barriers of the genre and the lack of diegetic resources that could explore all that is best and most cheesy in this genre, so recognizable, especially for those of us who grew up watching these productions on TV every day.

With few innovations and no Portuguese localization, RPG Maker WITH seems like an overly timid evolution of what we saw in the previous version. That said, it is undeniably solid and relatively accessible for an audience that is not an expert in game creation, even with an interface that demands patience from those who use it with a conventional console controller.
