Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion is a classic 2D action-adventure game with all the great elements of the genre. The campaign is a little short but has a fun setting, full of good-natured jokes and nice combat and exploration. This results in a good option for lovers of this style of play.

Figment 2: Creed Valley is a very fun game with an interesting message. Despite some limitations that hold it back from being a more impressive game, it is a good example of a simple indie title whose personality takes it to a good level.

Kao the Kangaroo is a good 3D platform game, offering just the right amount of fun for those who like the genre. However, it is relatively short and easy, being aimed more at a younger audience. Also, some annoying bugs need to be fixed.

GigaBash is quite straightforward in what it proposes large-scale battles between monsters and other typical figures of the genre and offers very simple, but very satisfying systems. If, on the one hand, it offers little content to keep the single-player player engaged for a long time, it is in the shared fun (online or local) where the game reveals its great strength.

Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition is not only the definitive version of Jade's adventure, but a model for remastering games from that time with relevant improvements and extras that celebrate the historical legacy of those works. Some slow aspects have not aged well and remind us of how old this game is, but the charismatic adventure and the good use of the compact yet rather open world still deserve this well-kept return.

One Piece Odyssey offers some of the franchise's most iconic moments, without appealing to mindless nostalgia and moving the plot forward. With solid and traditional combat and exploration systems, it lacks in the narrative unnecessarily and in the limited level design, but the balance is still very positive, especially if you are a fan of the Straw Hat Pirates.

Cats and the Other Lives is an excellent pixel art game that stands out for its engaging narrative and a feline protagonist full of personality. The Mason family dynamics guide players through mysteries, dramas and a past that remains the guiding thread of the story.

With a story full of twists, an audacious writing that makes us question the character's actions, a spectacular art direction along with a dark and mysterious soundtrack, Saga of Sins turns out to be a good action and platform title. Its multiple endings are interesting and somewhat rewarding, but some of them leave to be desired.

Shadow Labyrinth is a title that demonstrates potential in its mechanics, context, and story. However, everything is let down by the frustration of several different elements, such as the extremely large maps, the uneven combat, and more. It's a good game, and I hope Bandai Namco continues to experiment and polish this formula until they develop something truly special.

SpellForce: Conquest of Eo is a fun mix between RPG and Turn-Based Strategy that should please the most passionate fans of the genre and provides an accessible entry point for curious ones, even if it stumbles at certain points.

Elsie is an interesting homage to the classic action-platform games from the 90s. However, the lack of balance in some of its mechanics and challenges to keep the player motivated after completing the campaign make it just another roguelite in a market already full of options.

Madden NFL 24 is a great game limited by a series of small issues that significantly affect the experience. While certain issues have been resolved and clear improvements are seen in the gameplay, the game modes and menus either remain the same or are worse and, along with some small hiccups that persists, limit the game's potential.

Soundfall is a game that makes an excellent first impression, but it ends up becoming boring throughout its numerous stages. The title adapts a classic work of world literature to games without, however, losing a certain identity based on the charisma of its characters acting collaboratively and the enchantment provided by this very specific reading of Lewis Carroll's world.

Worldslayer might not justify its price tag in content, but it sure does make for fun. Although not many, the new content is enough to guarantee good hours of fun and a great return to Enoch.

Overcoming an uninteresting and confusing beginning to the game, as well as flawed level design at times, can be a big challenge here. In any case, there is a lot of interesting stuff in Blades of Fire and an originality that needs to be highlighted in the combat and weapon creation system, even though the game is otherwise heavily inspired by other works.

Bem Feito is very short, but considering the inventiveness of the proposal based on great references especially for the old school audience, it proposes an experience very different from what we are used to - all with quality, care and a somewhat morbid type of affection.

The Game of Life 2 is a colorful, vibrant, and very competent adaptation of the traditional board title of the same name for the digital universe, with basic mechanics for any type of player to enjoy. However, because it relies heavily on the random factor - something it inherited from the original work - it can frustrate or bore the most experienced.

Don't be fooled: Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage is a great game, but with few new features when considering only this new version. Hardcore fans will be happy with the addition - finally - of rollback netcode. But the new "World Stage" mode leaves something to be desired.

Teslagrad 2 still focuses on the imprecise physics of electromagnetism mechanics, but the structure transition was inconsistent, guiding the player through a short campaign that induces linearity and does not encourage exploring the interconnected world. Fortunately, the Nordic setting, the pleasant visuals, the folk songs and the moments of agility provide a solid identity that results in a good experience, even if it's not impressive.

The Witch's House MV is a fun and challenging horror game, albeit a relatively short experience. Despite the limitations it faces, it is a great example of the creativity that comes from indie games and how much they shine in this genre.

With improved visuals and subtle gameplay changes, Cat Quest III maintains the series' strengths and improves on almost everything except the narrative. It's a solo or co-op pirate adventure that's just the right size and also isn't afraid to be cute, silly, and funny, guaranteeing fun for those who like the series and inviting for newcomers.

Gotham Knights is hampered by a marketing that did not distance it enough from the Arkham series, being a totally different universe that can’t be compared. It has good combat, especially when co-op, and a fun, comic book-style campaign. However, the lack of creativity in some points, activities that look the same and the refinement in general prevent the title from shining more.

TRON: Catalyst is a good adventure game set in the TRON universe. The looping mechanics are interesting, as is the combat. However, overall, it is a short, simple game with a reasonable story.

Horizon Chase 2 delivers more of the same in a very fun way, even more so when we share the screen with more people. Packed with electronic musical tracks, the frenetic races have ups in the relationship between control and speed and the beautiful stylized representation of real locations, but also downs in the number of tracks and cars in its modest World Tour.

Code Vein II is both an evolution in some aspects and a regression in others. The visual style gets lost amidst a problematic or unrefined engine for the genre. The story relies on good secondary characters, but offers very little beyond that. In the end, the open-world structure doesn't seem to have been the best decision for much of the design, and much of the game's quality lies in the simplified combat, even though there's a tremendous effort to make everything overly complex.

Phantom Fury satisfactorily fulfills its promise. With fluid gameplay, constant action and a plot that serves as the basis for continuous progression, the game overcomes dubious level design to deliver one of the best current boomer shooters.

Urban Myth Dissolution Center brings a beautiful and fresh experience to a niche genre that doesn't get enough attention nowadays, but doesn't quite stick the landing.
