While playing Gecko Gods, there is a constant desire to praise the game for its cozy atmosphere, gameplay design, and puzzles that seamlessly come together into a unified structure. It evokes incredibly pleasant memories, shaping the overall impression into a positive one. However, segments where the game can block progress and trap the player inside one of its main puzzles kill the desire to praise it too highly.- PlayUA

Saros refines the Returnal formula into something sharper, faster, and far more approachable. By turning chaos into rhythm with its “bullet ballet” combat, introducing meaningful progression between runs, and delivering a more structured narrative, Housemarque removes much of the frustration without sacrificing intensity. While limited level variety and a surprisingly subdued soundtrack hold it back, the core experience remains thrilling — especially during its spectacular boss fights. For fans of Returnal and newcomers alike, Saros stands as one of the strongest PS5 exclusives to date.- PlayUA

Darwin’s Paradox! is a game that presents its content in a way that prevents it from feeling stale over time. It frequently introduces small gameplay mechanics, both for the protagonist and the surrounding environment. Unfortunately, this experience is effectively tailored for a single playthrough, lasting roughly four hours.- PlayUA

Pragmata distinguishes itself with the seamless integration of hacking mechanics into a shooting game. This fusion lends the game a strong sense of identity. Crucially, the system feels intuitive and well-executed from a gameplay standpoint. The progression is thoughtfully structured, ensuring that the escalation of action remains smooth. Capcom also demonstrates a commendable level of care in portraying the friendship dynamic between Hugh and Diana.- PlayUA

Crimson Desert makes you feel like a tiny insect in a vast, unknown, and beautiful world. It succeeds at this better than almost any other open-world game in recent years. After more than 50 hours, it can feel like you’ve only just dipped your toes in. The world is always hiding something new beyond the next hill. If you’re expecting a deep RPG or a tightly driven narrative journey, this game may not be for you.- PlayUA

Stoic reworked the concept of Towerborn in response to community feedback, aiming to deliver a more narrative-driven experience. As a result, the game has shed many of the tedious elements that previously felt designed to artificially consume players’ time where it wasn’t necessary. Overall, the reorganization of the entire game was well worth it.- PlayUA

Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake captures the haunting atmosphere and emotional core that made the original a cult classic, but its slow pacing, repetitive combat, and technical issues keep it from reaching the heights of modern horror remakes.- PlayUA

Resident Evil Requiem is a bold, confident “greatest hits” entry that combines pure survival horror and high-octane action into one cohesive experience. Capcom successfully balances fear and power through two contrasting campaigns, backed by strong enemy design, deeper progression systems, and excellent technical performance powered by the RE Engine. Despite being densely packed and occasionally overwhelming, the game stands as a triumphant celebration of the series’ 30-year legacy rather than a farewell.- PlayUA

Reanimal truly lives up to expectations. Its narrative and gameplay are immersive, amplifying the scope that defines Tarsier Studios. Every aspect feels deliberately connected, particularly the well-structured locations and the co-op mode, which created far more pleasant memories than Little Nightmares III.- PlayUA

The third entry in the series retains Nioh’s recognizable hardcore identity while significantly changing the approach to many aspects of the game. Moving away from linear missions in favor of an open world, integrating a variety of combat styles, and making an effort to make the game more accessible to newcomers — all of this makes Nioh 3 Team Ninja’s most ambitious project to date.- PlayUA

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is a polished but very linear return to the series. It shines with atmosphere, cinematic presentation, memorable music, and well-integrated allies that humanize Samus. However, exploration is heavily guided, difficulty is unusually low, and the open desert hub feels mostly like padding. Despite limited challenge and freedom, strong pacing and varied scenarios make it an engaging comeback.- PlayUA

A.I.L.A feels like a game made with a genuine love for the horror genre. It attempts to balance popular gameplay solutions with its own narrative vision. Unfortunately, shooting mechanics and enemy animations are overly simplistic, to the point where some moments may even come off as unintentionally comical. Even the solid level design and competent audio work can’t fully mask the sense of an often derivative experience. Still, I enjoyed it far more than last year’s Alone in the Dark.- PlayUA

Constance aims to be a stylish 2D action-platformer with metroidvania elements and a heartfelt story about burnout, mental health, and childhood creativity. Its vibrant art, strong soundtrack, and solid platforming lay a promising foundation, with a dreamlike world that reflects the heroine’s emotional struggles. Unfortunately, the game falters where the genre matters most. While Constance looks and sounds great, it lacks depth, balance, and identity, resulting in a technically competent but ultimately forgettable adventure.- PlayUA

Dispatch is a standout achievement in interactive cinema, crafted by former Telltale talent at Adhoc. It delivers a gripping, emotional superhero drama which story shines thanks to sharp writing, memorable characters, strong humor, and Hollywood-quality presentation. While the management system lacks real narrative impact, it still enriches the experience by deepening your bonds with the cast. With excellent animation, voice acting, and music, Dispatch becomes an unforgettable ride that blends comedy, heart, and cinematic style at a level few studios attempt.- PlayUA

Super Fantasy Kingdom blends roguelite, economic strategy, and light RPG elements into a surprisingly deep kingdom-management challenge. Despite its heroic cast, survival depends far more on building a strong economy than on powering up characters. Randomized resources, events, and heroes force constant adaptation, while steady meta-progression keeps long-term runs rewarding. With unique classes and active post-launch updates the game offers rich replayability. Though early-game repetition can feel tedious. A fresh twist on the roguelite formula.- PlayUA

Battlefield 6 brings the series back to its roots — large-scale chaos done right. The campaign feels like a classic shooter: fast, cinematic, but narratively shallow. Yet the multiplayer steals the show. Maps are dense with action, the class system is back, and the gunplay feels phenomenal. The new battle royale and Portal modes are fine but forgettable — the real thrill lies in those massive, coordinated battles where everything explodes at once. It’s not a revolution, but a confident reminder of why Battlefield once defined the genre.- PlayUA

The fast-paced, explosive combat sets Ninja Gaiden 4 apart from the more measured swordplay of the 3D trilogy. In exchange for this shift, players are rewarded with immense satisfaction through crisp slashing mechanics, well-paced weapon progression, and a solid combo system. PlatinumGames clearly tried to elevate the boss fights to the level of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. On the other hand, exploration often feels underdeveloped, only partially redeemed by more dynamic segments involving rail-sliding or airflow gliding.- PlayUA

Little Nightmares III tries to faithfully follow in the footsteps of its predecessors, but the new developers fail to elevate it to the next stage of the series’ evolution. While Supermassive Games attempted to integrate co-op, this decision seems questionable, given the limited opportunities for meaningful interaction. The game offers only the bare minimum, sprinkles in a few additional mechanics, and still drowns in its own limitations.- PlayUA

Dying Light: The Beast can easily be called Dying Light: The Best. Yes, it has its fair share of problems—the campaign, zero motivation for nighttime runs, the burden of leveling, and the very slow initial hours when you have practically no resources or gear—which will quickly repel those who came primarily for the campaign. However, the heart of Dying Light is a sandbox with parkour and drop-kicking zombies. And that heart is once again beating with a healthy rhythm.- PlayUA

Sonic Team has managed to bring Sonic Racing back to the big leagues, making it a strong competitor to Mario Kart. It pours so much energy into you that it takes your breath away, and all the initial cups fly by in one go. The only thing truly missing in CrossWorlds is missions — specifically, the kind from the very first entries in the series, as they would perfectly suit the game’s arcade style. However, the core of replayability in such arcade games is the championships, and those in CrossWorlds are made far more engaging.- PlayUA

Silent Hill f absorbs many features of the series that deserve praise, particularly in its depiction of the protagonist’s moral decline. This is reflected in the first ending, which feels less like a search for redemption and more like burying a schoolgirl in a psychological coffin. It is conveyed through her transformation, the additional notes, and the appearance of the enemies. Silent Hill f offers unusual combat that some might link to Souls-like mechanics, while others will notice more classical elements. It’s a pity that, among all the Japanese mythology and metaphors, the town itself starts to feel like a quite forgotten character in this story.- PlayUA

Created single-handedly over eight years by developer MAS, Artis Impact is a unique indie RPG that feels more like an interactive anime than a conventional game. Its mysterious world, eccentric heroine, and offbeat humor make for a distinctive experience full of secrets and style. Ghost of Yotei is a gorgeous, bigger-and-better follow-up to Ghost of Tsushima that refines combat, expands exploration, and delivers one of the most stunning worlds in gaming. Its diverse weapon system and shrine-based progression make every fight and discovery meaningful. Hell Is Us is a game that captivates through its sound, enemy design, and overall grim aesthetic. It immerses you in a world that doesn’t hand out answers but instead encourages and compels you to seek them on your own. For some, this will be a source of frustration; for others, a motivation to uncover the truth and reach the finale. Rogue Factor has managed to create a game that feels both familiar and, in some ways, innovative, though its shortcomings are often just as noticeable as its strengths.- PlayUA

Team Cherry’s sequel delivers a sprawling, exquisitely detailed Metroidvania that hooks you from the first step in Farlum and doesn’t let go—even when it pushes your patience to the limit. With Lore-rich regions, hundreds of secrets, and orchestral soundscapes, Silksong is visually lush, mechanically deep, and brutally fair in its difficulty. The combat demands precision, the platforming challenges surprise you, and the game’s scale can easily consume 100 hours for full completion. While its economic system falters and the early side-quests feel undercooked, by the final act all the pieces click, rewarding the persistent with some of the best moments the genre has ever seen.- PlayUA

Killing Floor 3 offers enough new elements to make the gameplay more engaging. Death Stranding 2: On The Beach can only be compared to Death Stranding itself. The melancholic journey of ropes has evolved into a action-packed adventure of sticks. In their quest to enhance every aspect of the experience, Kojima and his team went so far as to improve things we didn't even know needed improving. While DS2 is indeed a wonderful evolution of the first game's ideas, it ultimately became something more than just an evolution, it plays in a league of its own.- PlayUA

The Alters is a masterful evolution of 11 bit studios’ signature grim survival formula. Instead of pushing players into abstract moral quandaries, it offers something more personal: a sci-fi tale of regret and self-reconciliation. Stranded on a deadly planet, lone survivor Jan Dolski creates alternate versions of himself — each shaped by paths not taken. These “Alters” are not clones but fully realized personalities, forcing Jan to confront his own failings while managing survival. Beneath its familiar gameplay loop lies a deeply human story about identity, missed chances, and emotional repair. This is survival — not of the body, but of the soul.- PlayUA

The story in Tape 2 picks up the pace earlier. However, this is achieved mainly thanks to its compactness, which unfortunately reflects negatively in the number of repeated video recordings, locations, and the variety of objects to explore. Certain moments highlight the beauty of relationships, but they fail to meaningfully develop the mystical aspect, which hardly goes beyond being a catalyst for emotions.- PlayUA

The painted style and animations of South of Midnight are undeniably the most striking aspects of the game. Unfortunately, it suffers from the developers' clear focus on visuals and music. Wanderstop is a true work of video game art, seamlessly blending storytelling with immersive mechanics. At its core, it’s a narrative-driven tea-making simulator, where brewing tea becomes a ritual of self-discovery, healing, and reflection. Tea-making in Wanderstop is an intricate process, from harvesting leaves and growing fruits to brewing unique blends. The surrounding environment is vast, encouraging exploration and self-reflection. Instead of combat, players engage in maintaining order—sweeping leaves, pruning roots, and discovering hidden treasures. With Ghibli-inspired aesthetics, a breathtaking soundtrack by C418, and a deeply resonant story, Wanderstop offers a uniquely introspective experience.
