Even though EA and Visceral chose to focus more on full-out action and less on the creepy horror atmosphere which made you pause the game in tight spots just so you could breathe easily, Dead Space 3 is a worthy successor to Dead Space 2. It has a few new additions to the game like weapon crafting and cooperative play, which makes it all the more fun. Though Dead Space shouldn’t be fun, it should scare you sh.tless!

An episode between seasons in which five characters experience the first four hundred days of the zombie apocalypse. It's a bit short and there are a couple of technical issues, but overall fans of the series will definitely enjoy this.

A remake of the original Game Boy Advance game that comes with plenty of variety in the puzzles, offers an excellent challenge and introduces fun co-op features. Nintendo delivers a solid remake that does exactly what you expect from it without really risking anything. Too bad the boss fights are not as good - more frustrating, - because that should have been the icing on the cake.

The game comes with an immense amount of content and fine gameplay that will keep you playing. In the process, the performance is excellent which ensures an optimal gaming experience. Lover of the franchise and plenty of diversity in activities? Then this game is just right for you, although don't expect too much from the story. Also, the camera is sometimes a bit annoying, but you can live with that since the rest of the game is more than fine.

Not as memorable as the Mortal Kombat reboot, but still a worthy successor. A great story complemented by a well-balanced cast of fighters and numerous interesting features - among which highly interactive environments and spectacular special moves - makes the game. Unfortunately, weak cutscenes, some boring minigames and the lack of a tag team mode keeps the game from receiving a higher score.

At last, the franchise travels to Japan, and with Assassin's Creed: Shadows, Ubisoft presents us with a captivating adventure that excels particularly because of its two playable characters. The gameplay is mostly more of the same, supplemented with some new elements that make it feel very familiar. At the same time, the pacing is not always great and side characters could have received more attention. Nevertheless, fans of the franchise will again be able to lose themselves completely in an adventure characterized by a beautiful world to explore and somewhat fresh gameplay.

Dumb AI and annoying spawn points aside, this is a nice spin-off of the Battlefield franchise, that does interesting things in both the singleplayer and the multiplayer department.

The Division 2 is larger and more expansive than its prequel and the focus has in part shifted to end game content which adds a lot to the overall package. Coop is a lot of fun and the game surprised us continuously with its wide variety of environments. Lots of content and solid gameplay make for a very competent title. The AI could use some TLC though because it tends to be extremely dense most of the time. The texture pop-in is another minor annoyance as is the somewhat clunky user interface. These minor issues notwithstanding, The Division 2 is a great game that has plenty to offer. Recommended.

A unique and highly atmospheric game you just can't help but finish in one sitting... though that leads us towards its biggest shortcoming: it's too short and perhaps a bit too easy as well.

Immortals of Aveum is a successful first game from Ascendant Studios. Combining a shooter with magic makes for interesting gameplay, and much attention has been paid to the lore, environments and variety in combat. This picks up well and makes for an enjoyable experience. At the same time, the performance is not yet optimal due to a unstable framerate and some jokes feel a bit out of place. That being said, Immortals of Aveum has a fine adventure to offer that is worthwhile with some rough edges every now and then, but they don't get in the way of enjoying the game.

MotoGP 20 offers more realism and better physics, as well as a remarkable graphical improvement. Because of this, it's one of the best titles in the franchise. It's not all great, though: the game's historical mode lacks substance, while the presence of bugs and glitches never ceases to annoy.

We've seen better stories come to live virtually, but Victor Vran makes up for this flaw with enjoyable gameplay, that pretty much guarantees a good time, especially when you've got a friend to play the game with.

A great fighter which is newbie friendly because of the DOA Quest addition. This mode provides one of the best tutorials we have ever seen in a brawler. DOA 6's action, audiovisual qualities and the overall execution are other standout features. The main complaint we have is DLC related. A playable character in story mode needs to be purchased so that you can use this character in other modes, which is crazy. The story is incoherent too but that is to be expected from a DOA game. Overall, a fine new addition to the franchise.

The absurd story, satisfying gameplay and worthwhile co-op are enough to keep you engaged. The repetitive soundtrack and lack of multiplayer features, however, will put a bit of a damper on things. The good outweighs the bad, though.

SnowRunner improves upon its predecessor in every way. The game offers beautiful maps filled to the brim with content, as well as deep, engaging gameplay that will keep you playing for a long time to come. The multiplayer options form the cherry on top of this already delicious cake.

New and refreshing, Arkane Studios delivers quite a unique experience with Deathloop. Expert level design, interesting targets and a wide variety of gameplay options make for one hell of a title. And it looks great to boot! Some technical imperfections should be mentioned, however… as well as the bit underwhelming experience that is playing as Julianna. Nothing is perfect though, right?

It's good to know that we can still be surprised these days. Sony's platform career is pretty much FUBAR these days, but the hedgehog with a need for speed still delivers on the racing front. It's not all that challenging, but apart from that there really isn't anything wrong with Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed.

Avowed is a wonderfully accessible and relatively simple RPG, making the game truly for young and old alike. Audiovisually it is enjoyable and there is plenty to discover. The gameplay in itself is also very enjoyable, making the entire package impressive. However, the AI is a bit careless at times, which can lead to some crazy situations and dialogues can feel a bit two-dimensional, but with that said, Avowed is still a game to definitely give a try. Especially if you really appreciate this genre.

A worthy attempt at making a theme parc simulator work on consoles, Planet Coaster will keep you playing for a long time to come. At times you can get dragged down by unnecessary details, though... and the voice-acting isn’t particularly convincing.
