The predictable story and short running time are countered with varied gameplay and great level design. Definitely good enough to keep Dishonored fans happy.

It's not perfect - a clumsy button lay-out and some weird physics definitely hold the game back at times - but Steel Rats still manages to combine different genres in a surprising and consistently fun way.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden throws you an interesting dilemma. Will you go after love and renounce your oath or will you do what you swore? This issue recurs throughout the game, in which you get to work as a medieval ghostbuster. The dynamic between the two main characters is top notch, the gameplay very fun and the boss fights are unique. Too bad, however, that the performance in terms of frame rate is not stable and the variety of enemies is limited. That being said, Banishers is a fine game, definitely worth considering, but with some untapped potential.

You'll enjoy this long and incredibly atmospheric adventure, even if the game's controls take some getting used to and the experience as a whole lacks a bit of challenge.

It took far too long for this game to come out, and after a very long development, games often disappoint. Not this one, as the game is full of good elements and has a fine gameplay loop. The side quests may be a bit boring and it is also not the most in-depth game. Yet that is not a big problem, as the overall gameplay experience is very enjoyable, thanks in part to the excellent soundtrack. Fan of the franchise? A must have!

If not for the addition of a new - and surprisingly enjoyable - game mode, this iteration of the NHL franchise would've felt exactly like its predecessor.

An amazing, intuitive introduction to virtual reality that will amuse you to no end - even if the amount of job scenarios is ultimately rather unimpressive.

As expected, the Borderlands franchise translates perfectly into Telltales' series format. Fondly recommended.

F1 23 is back and compared to F1 22 it offers a lot more. F1 Life has been exchanged for a more sensible F1 World that is full of activities. Braking Point is back, although it's full of irritating characters and otherwise the gameplay is a lot better thanks to tweaks and the addition of Precision Drive, which gives players the option to set a much more refined control scheme in regard to direct input. At the same time, we see little innovation in the career mode and the animations of the drivers could use a major upgrade. Other than that, a fine racer.

Ghostrunner 2 is just as hardcore as the previous game with virtually no room for flaws. This makes it a difficult game that leads to a little too much trial and error and can be frustrating, but on the other hand it does offer rock-hard action, excellent voice-acting and a good soundtrack. Also the new elements such as motorcycle riding do the game well with cool boss fights as icing on the cake.

A fun and extremely tactical shooter with teammates that actually aren't idiots…. or that is mostly the case. We can't shake the feeling that the game isn't completely "finished", but that doesn't keep us from giving Ghost Recon: Future Soldier a strong recommendation.

When Viking's Attack is a fun little game, ideally played in short sessions. It looks and plays fine, with cross-platform options (if you buy the PS3 or the Vita version, you get the other one as well) available to extend playability. Not the most impressive title ever, but definitely good for a couple of laughs.

After a bad game two years back, we now have another good sequel in the series. Visual Concepts has taken its time and it works out well. Modi such as MyRISE and MyGM are very cool, the audiovisual is well done and the gameplay is very refined yet accessible, making it appeal to a wide audience. WWE 2K22 does have some sloppiness here and there, but that's okay.

An absurd game in the spectrum of Final Fantasy, but in a positive sense. The many boss fights, the cool combat, good AI and more make it more than worth it. You have to love it, as it is anything but a traditional Final Fantasy game, but in what it tries to do, it succeeds in its mission. The gameplay is engaging and manages to entertain, which is ultimately the most important thing.

The roguelike space shooter from ROCKfish games successfully blasts its way onto the PlayStation 4. Everspace successfully merges concepts from big hitters such as Elite Dangerous, No Man's Sky and FTL: Faster Than Light and it's procedurally generated universe never gets old. It can get a bit grindy from time to time and the lack of VR support is somewhat of a bummer. Nevertheless, sci-fi lovers in particular will get a lot of enjoyment out of this.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider shifts the franchise's focus more towards exploration - which is a good thing, since it complements Lara Croft's character in a way the more shooting-oriented previous games didn't. The adventure's a bit predictable, but nevertheless a joy to see through to the end, even if an annoying camera and bad input registration drag the experience down at times.

It's a well-made game, especially in co-op, but repetitive gameplay and a story that fails to intrigue keeps it from becoming something truly great. As of now, Destiny unfortunately hasn't reached its full potential yet.

Going on an adventure with Quill in Virtual Reality is an utter joy. The game looks absolutely gorgeous and radiates a magical atmosphere throughout the entire experience. Unfortunately, it is also rather short considering it's fairly steep price tag but that shouldn't prevent you from having a blast while it lasts. Recommended.

This is essentially a twelve-hour long episode of South Park, with sadistic humour, a huge amount of fan-service, classic turn-based gameplay and Variation with a capital V. It's a great game, though we did notice an unhealthy amount of bugs and framerate issues. We're also severely disappointed by the European censorship, which is completely unnecessary.

A lot more tense than the previous episode, with a nice balance between dialogue, action and looting. It's a bit shorter than we're used to, though the decrease in framerate issues more than makes up for it.

It's a shame the controls aren't very responsive and we grew tired of the framedrops by the end of the episode, though if you're willing to overlook that, you'll get a great premiere to what promises to be another brilliant season of the Walking Dead videogame. Prepare to be emotionally wrecked, guys - 'cause you sure as hell will be.

The franchise is back, and this time with a slightly different approach. No single player, and the focus is on large scale battles and creating your own experiences in Battlefield Portal. This works out well, as the unprecedented scale and dynamic gameplay is very good. It is also more accessible than ever before, and that is just the tip of the iceberg. Hazard Zone mode is also a valuable addition, and the possibilities with Portal are endless. All good news, but keep in mind that there will be bugs, unstable frame rates and lag. In other words, the basis is very good, but it can still use some polishing.

Dripping with atmosphere, Mafia offers a strong story with engaging characters, great voice-acting and an intriguing setting. The game does fine in the gameplay department as well, but strafing feels a bit clunky and there's quite a bit of screen-tearing to spoil your fun. You'll still have a good time, though.

A good strategy game that plays really well and offers plenty of challenge. You end up feeling like an actual spy while playing this game and that is a big compliment to the developers. Sadly though, there are a couple of difficulty spikes throughout which causes some frustration.

The latest iteration in the franchise offers more of the same and improvements. For example, you can now create your own team, you get an even better look behind the scenes and the voiced communication is a nice touch. The game is mostly everything you already know, but just a little better and more comprehensive. At the same time, the game still has some audiovisual bugs and the negotiation system could have been better.

The combination of noir with a futuristic setting picks up well in Nobody Wants to Die, which presents you with an interesting story with fun investigations. The voice acting is also strong, making for a solid adventure that does some new things. There is little to criticize about the game per se, although the lack of chapter select is a shame and the textures are sometimes of somewhat low quality.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a delightful platformer that pays homage to the series with fantastic gameplay and, at times, eye-poppingly beautiful graphics. It is an excellent and worthwhile game, but it still suffers from bugs and crashes. In addition, the visual quality is a bit inconsistent per planet, which makes the game a bit lacking. This is a pity, but it does not change the fact that this is a title worth playing. Put it in the “very good, but not perfect” category.
