If you’re not looking for something new in the field of 3D platformers and you just want to scratch that itch with a genre we don't see often anymore, Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara might be a perfect new release for you. On the other hand, if you want something unique, polished and unforgettable... You might be in the wrong place.- PLAY! Zine

Influenced by the legendary Dino Crisis franchise, Exoprimal is a surprisingly fun and engaging game. Despite some repetitive missions and an occasionally unstable connection, I can safely say that Exoprimal is one of the most enjoyable titles in 2023.- PLAY! Zine

Even though the magic of the old Disney platformers is somewhat lost, Illusion Island stands as a promise that it can be rekindled. Both experienced and less skilled players can enjoy this game cooperatively, and while it may not bring anything groundbreaking to the table, it’s great to see that the charm is still there. Seems that quality adventures starring Mickey Mouse won’t be just a thing of time past.- PLAY! Zine

Dave the Diver is an absolute must-play if you are in the mood for some sushi and relaxation. It has its tense moments, but with its beautiful surroundings, an absurd amount of activities, and just pure hearted and wholesome nature, you will be sucked into this magical lagoon of heavenly food and fun.- PLAY! Monstrum Nox builds greatly on the systems of its predecessor, making for a really fun title and a great promise to the tenth instalment. The PlayStation 5 version does not offer enough reasons for you to get it if you have already played the original. Still, its slightly refreshed visuals are surely welcome, especially since the only thing Ys games generally lack is better graphics.- PLAY! Zine

Street Fighter 6 is one of the best fighting games of all time, period. It flourishes with its creative visual design, a pretty good graphics upgrade and a selection of multiplayer and single-player game modes that will see you explore the game with your custom avatar, all while its drive meter and innovative changes to combat redefining the whole experience creatively.- PLAY! Simply put, Ravenlok is a perfect game for beginners of the genre. Its simplicity in gameplay and story makes it a good starting point. But for any experienced players, it will be just a quick, short and quite forgettable romp.- PLAY! Zine

Miasma Chronicles is a step in the right direction, built on the foundations of the studio's previous game. You may call it a spiritual successor, but what it is, is an immersive, simple, yet enjoyable tactical RPG with an intriguing story and some nice graphics. If you are into strategizing and post-apocalyptic worlds, there's plenty to look forward to here.- PLAY! Zine

F1 23 is the best F1 game, with amazing new physics, better driving and tires, and a great story campaign. The new F1 World mode is a truly addictive and fun multiplayer experience. Even with the career remaining the same, its gameplay resembles something close to the actual F1 experience. I hope microtransactions don’t get added in the future.- PLAY! Zine

Diablo IV does not alter or revolutionize the two-decades-old formula but polishes it instead. While Blizzard admittedly ‘’played it safe’’, we can't deny it's a fantastic product that's easy to recommend. In its current state, it's one of the greatest entries in the series and by far the one with the best story. If microtransactions aren’t introduced later, Diablo IV will remain an amazing title to play for years to come.- PLAY! Zine

Amnesia: The Bunker is a successful experiment for the renowned horror franchise, branching the series into survival horror, room escape, rogue-lite and extraction genres. Impeccable audio design and tense gameplay make for one of the scariest horror games in recent years.- PLAY! Zine

Amnesia: The Bunker is a return to the roots of the original series instalment. Even though it sidestepped a bit from the overall mythos, the story was never as important as the sense of constant dread the game provides. As I’m not a horror fan, I had an awful time with this game, which is maybe the best compliment I can give it. Horror fans, rejoice!- PLAY! Zine

If Final Fantasy XV was meant to take the stray path, the 16th instalment made that path reach a worthy goal. Switching the old formula from a turn-based RPG to an all-out action-packed game may sadden some long-time fans. But the simple yet emotion-filled plot makes up for it, despite the sometimes awkward adult themes. Final Fantasy XVI somehow manages to stand on its own as one of the flashiest games ever and be a truly EIKONIK experience in every other aspect. Though wishing for the next one to rely a bit more on some of the traditional strengths of the series surely is a justified desire.- PLAY! Zine

Warhammer 40K Boltgun is a fantastic boomer shooter that combines modern visuals and gameplay with a retro look and feel. The story is lacking, but at the end of the day, nothing matters when you’re ripping and tearing in the Emperor’s name. Boltgun, for all intents and purposes, serves as a bridge between Space Marine and its imminent sequel but can easily hold its own as a fantastic video game.- PLAY! Zine

As if Gollum hasn't had his fair share of suffering, Daedalic Entertainment has decided that we have to share some more with him. Unfortunately, a potentially intriguing angle of storytelling and an ever-interesting world this time falls short in every sense imaginable - crashes that occur more often than you can count, unpolished gameplay, inconsistent voice acting and storytelling... Sadly, there are a few things more precious than your time - the time you could spend elsewhere, not playing a game that has lost its direction and, unfortunately, turned out plain bad.- PLAY! Zine

The Last Case of Benedict Fox is a macabre metroidvania that is inconsistent at all levels. The gameplay is rough and imprecise, while the voice acting is, depending on the character, a mix of both horrible and amazing. Overall, the game fails to establish a definitive tone or direction. I expected so much more, and I genuinely hope that at least the gameplay aspect of the game will be fixed and improved in the future.- PLAY! Zine

System Shock Remake isn’t for everyone, but it is a true gem if you actually give it a chance. Redfall is a major disappointment from a well-established studio that brought us the hit Dishonored. While I expected an immersive sim that would build on the phenomenal foundations of their previous games, I got a cookie-cutter looter shooter with an empty world, a non-existent story and very little fun. With the steep price attached to this title, I would not recommend it even with a fat discount.- PLAY! Zine

Ghostlore is an enjoyable and engaging ARPG that brings a fresh spin on the genre. Despite a few serious flaws that would be a huge drawback in most other scenarios, Tears of the Kingdom manages to throw so much at you that you can't help but grab the one thing you love the most. Whether you are into experimenting or defying ancient evil with little to no odds, this is a game that overshadows its predecessor so much that we'll hardly ever look back. Yet, hope for the future must come in the shape of something different since the potential of what we have here seems like it has reached the end of the cloud.- PLAY! Zine

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a great title hindered by the corporate sickness of releasing unpolished games. It is riddled with performance issues, even on consoles and the strongest of PCs. Despite all of these problems, Survivor is still a masterpiece. It is truly one of the best Star Wars games out there, but given its current state, it would be a good idea to wait until the most glaring issues are solved.- PLAY! Zine
