Fun to play and easy to look at, but the gameplay is ultimately a bit too straightforward and shallow. It is borderline outrageous that the single-player campaign lasts only for 5 hours. [Apr 2006]- Pelit (Finland)

Memento Mori is a heavily story-driven point'n click game with beautiful graphics and great musical score. The plot twists and turns nicely during the game. Unfortunately the puzzle design isn't very original and most of the puzzles aren't very challenging, although moving the puzzle solving to 3D does make some of the problems seem new and refreshing. The voice acting is occasionally very annoying but you get used to it. Overall Memento Mori is a good purchase for an adventure gamer Both its story and the shocking finale linger on the edge of thoughts for a long time after playing through the game. This is the way to end a game. [Jan 2010]- Pelit (Finland)

Beneath the Ashes is short, but well paced mini-larathon which offers nothing really new. Lara’s Shadow is a little bit interesting case, but messing with deadly blue liquid is really frustrating. There are also annoying level re-runs, but generally both adventures offers sturdy but brief Tomb Raider experience. [May 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

Point'n click adventure that relies heavily on its intriguing storyline, likable main characters and nice puzzle design. Unfortunately it has a big shortcoming. The seemingly never-ending dialogue turns the player into a reader. In other words the game is unbalanced: one spends more time watching than actually playing. It’s a pity, really. An interesting combination of ancient mythology and modern scifi-stories, but ultimately it's chunky and tedious gameplay prevents it from becoming a significant represententative of the scifi-action-rpg-subgenre already dominated by Mass Effect. A creepy, slow-paced point ’n’ click adventure. The plot is fine, and so is the simple yet efficient user interface. The most annoying thing is a time-consuming mushroom hunt in a dark forest. A decent, if uninspired fantasy RPG in the vein of the Elder Scrolls and Gothic series. Its biggest problem is the generic fantasy setting combined with general mediocrity. But in the end, it is fun to play, and there can never be too many RPGs like that. [Sept 2007]- Pelit (Finland)

Mario & Sonic are at it again, and once again the game series breaks its personal best. Although the lack of content is still an issue, this time all the events are planned carefully and the online multiplayer gives something for the lone sportsmen, who don't want to enjoy the newest Nintendolympics in the living room. This is mostly an unnecessary remake of the fantasy strategy classic. The improvements are minor in the graphics and nonexistent elsewhere, except for the multiplayer mode through Steam and the tablet versions, which might be the game's biggest selling point. A linear and slightly boring shoot'em up, which does not tap into the main game's strengths. Why the heck did we get a small scale conflict as the climax, when there was this whole end of the world stuff readily available as a dramatic finale? [Mar 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

Puts player in a rather awkward role. You essentially play a person who hasn’t made a single good decision in his life. When none of your actions hold any kind of moral high-ground the whole experience starts to feel like a total downer. While the story certainly has an impact, the actual gameplay does not. Shooting behind the cover has been done much better. The real let-down is the last third of the game which is simply not fun to play. [Dec 2007]- Pelit (Finland)

WRC 5 leaves a really mixed taste. Deep down it is quite enjoyable arcade racing, but as a whole it feels really rushed and made with a tight budget. A mediocre, fast paced mecha action that pretty much targets the marginal audience really getting their kicks from tuning massive combat robots. For average player, clinical storytelling without drama and hooks, nonexistant tutorial to the world and the game, and especially to the overwhelmingly complex robot modification will quickly dull the interest. Metroid Prime: Federation Force is a clear sign of Nintendo either not understanding or just not caring about what kind of games their player base wants. Sid Meier's Starships takes a stab at space empire building with a light, turn-based tactical combat. It ends up too light though, with a very straightforward and simple strategic layer, and a decent but repetitive combat. It would have done well to take a step in the direction of classic Starfleet Command games to deepen the combat system. It's worst problem is though lack of feeling and chrome: you are not building your own eponymous Starships that you care about with the sterile and clinical technology system of the game.
