While WRC definitely lacks the glamourous presentation and technical splendour of its main rival Dirt 2, it has something else to offer: Real rally gameplay. The classic rally-contests where you are racing alone on an empty route, just against the clock, are something that Dirt 2 cold-shouldered and WRC now picked up. And it even does a pretty good job there. We criticize the lack of variety (there is no rally-cross mode for example) and the antiquated engine, but traditional rally-fans won't find a more convincing simulation of their favourite sport at the moment.- PC Games

The new farming-simulator-game is overall more of the same. You'll expand your farm, buy new vehicles and go for random missions like lawn mowing at the golf-court. Unfortunately the time-limit in those missions is horrible. The farming-gameplay is easy to learn and there are more than 100 vehicles to buy, modeled with rich detail. The game could be much better, if the developer would have focused on a smooth interface and more realistic physics.- PC Games

It's clearly unfinished. But if you can look past the performance issues, weak AI and abundance of bugs, there is a nice Dungeon Keeper experience to be had. War for the Overworld does not add anything new to the formula, it does not even copy it to its full extent (take the useless walls, for example), but it is fun nonetheless. With further patching and some rebalancing, this could actually turn out as a great game one day.- PC Games

In Stonefly we are going on an adventure together with the main character Anika. Anika is very small, which makes the world around her really big. With our mech-bug, we explore the world, which looks like a Pixar movie merged with damped colours. Our biggest criticism are the many bugs – pun very much intended – which gave us a hard time. Many of the gameplay mechanics do not work the way they are supposed to or are just not well enough thought through.- PC Games

The new engine and the new foresting gameplay elements fit well into the classic farming setting of the series. The farming features are tweaked a little, but overall it feels just the same like in Farming Simulator 13, but technically enhanced. The Day-One Patch fixed some bugs, but still existing physical-problems and gameplay issues in version 1.1, especially in multiplayer mode, have to be handled with forthcoming patches.- PC Games

The games of the Gothic series had a decisive influence on my childhood and Piranha Bytes as developers have always had a special place in my heart. This atmosphere and credibility in a game world can hardly be found in any other role-playing game to this day. But the magic has slowly faded for me. Yes, Elex 2 also pushes the right buttons and the first chapters were among the best the studio has produced in years. So I could easily overlook the once again mediocre battle system and the weak technology. But I was all the more horrified when this whole structure began to crumble halfway through and completely collapsed towards the end. Piranha Bytes should have focused less on the long playing time and more on a consistently strong atmosphere and quest-design.- PC Games

Cooking Simulator is fun, despite its tedious career mode. There’s a lot of detail tot he different recipes and it takes a lot of focus to be successful. The first hours playing Starships is great fun, because it’s easy to get into and not that hard to learn the basics. After a couple of matches, though, it becomes obvious that the game is lacking complexity and depth, where it would be really needed: in tactical combat diplomacy and planet management. But even if Starships lacks long-term motivation, it’s a game you’ll be coming back to over and over again.- PC Games

Dominic’s criminal activities remind me of GTA. The first one in 3D to be exact – the one released for PC seven years ago. But despite its prehistoric visuals I like it in some kind of way. The reboot of the series is not a bad game. In it's best moments it is goofy over the top fun. The problem is: These moments are extremely rare. Most of the time you're playing repetitive missions where you're shooting AI enemies who are incredibly stupid and the gunplay feels like straight from the year 2005. But the biggest flaw of the game is its' humour. It is funny at times, but never as hilarious as the old Saints Rows. Lost Planet 3 features the stormy and disastrous environments of the cold world E.D.N. III, known from the very first part of the series. The game is introduced as a prequel to the entire Lost Planet series and delivers a mix of both first and third-person action. Unfortunately Lost Planet 3 fails to fulfill the high expectations, mainly because of repetitive and even boring mission design. Based on the successful fantasy-bestseller, written by author Markus Heitz, the homonymous videogame takes place in an action-rpg, focused on massive battles with orcs. The story is well told, but shortened in comparison to the book. The battles are fun to play for a while, but they’re lacking on AI- and pathfinding-issues. Moving the camera can be tricky too. The rpg-elements are minimalistic, there are no collectible weapons or gear and characters can be equipped with only five skills max. Your main character, the young dwarven-smith Tungdil will be accompanied with up to 14 companions, most of them well transformed from the book into the game. You’ll spend a lot of time in listening to many dialogues and to a well performing narrator, so in the end The Dwarves feels more like an interactive audio-book than an rpg.- PC Games

The game was promised as a true D&D-Experience, which in fact it isn’t. The RPG-rules are changed in a casual way, so in the end SCL feels more like a dragon-age-experience within a nice D&D-setting. If you can accept that, the game offers a good story-campaign with party-based combat, which is fun. I’ve played all sorts of Souls-likes, including some made primarily for mobile platforms, which is to say that I don’t necessarily need the highest production standards to enjoy the core formula. I’d be willing to forgive the laughable presentation, if the gameplay wasn’t equally bad. The game feels bad to control, the animations are stiff and clunky, the user interface is a farce, the level environments are criminally boring, crafting equipment is annoying and tedious, the bossfights are terribly designed – there’s next to nothing here that isn’t subpar. Granted, there are a few good ideas and boss mechanics in there, but all of them are either poorly executed or half-hearted. Wolcen stands firmly on the shoulders of Diablo 3 and does a surprisingly good job of replicating its formula. Forceful combat, interesting ways to develop a character and fancy graphics come together in a decent campaign, even though it feels overly familiar and even a bit unfinished at times: The end game needs more content and variety, the balancing seems a little off and there is a good amount of bugs left in the game. Godfall is not only fun to play, it has also a beautiful looking graphic. On top of that the combat system works amazing and is long term satisfying. Even after 15 hours of gameplay it’s still great to jump into a fight. Also technically Godfall is more than a solid game. Yes, the original Warcraft 3 is still a great game, but it is also clear that Blizzard has missed the mark with this remaster. The singleplayer campaign and gameplay mechanics have aged astoundingly well and the visual update is mostly successful. Newcomers will most likely have a great time experiencing the story and its four distinct races, which are still a lot of fun to play. But where are the vastly improved cutscenes that Blizzard has promised? This is simply not the game that has been advertised. Multiplayer comes with its own problems, from missing features (like a ladder or custom campaigns) to small, but irritating technical issues. Most of it can be fixed, for sure, but it appears rather baffling to me that this is a game from the same studio that brought us masterpieces like Starcraft 2.- PC Games

Praise to Bigmoon for the courage to take on this difficult to implement racing game genre. The small studio has also mastered the big task properly, especially the challenging navigation is authentically conveyed to the player. However, Dakar 18 weakens in one decisive discipline: driving physics. In times of a Dirt Rally 2.0, which will appear next February, racing fans expect more from a game with a simulation claim. Also the missing vehicle tuning as well as the spartan damage model should be offensive to simulation fans. But if you don't let this spoil the fun, you'll get an off-road game of a different kind, which also creates a Dakar atmosphere thanks to the pretty graphics and the authentic navigation system.- PC Games

Finally a game with a large publisher behind it that deliberately resists the mass market! Unfortunately Murdered has not become the game that it could have been.- PC Games

A solid and yet pointless action-rpg that is missing almost everything what made God of War a blast: spectacular bossfights, a thrilling plot, charismatic characters, impressive architecture and design, a fluid combat system and an epic orchestral soundtrack - you won't find any of that in Rise of the Argonauts.- PC Games

Blightbound fails to convince mot only gameplay-wise. That’s a real shame, because the art style is very pretty. Bad AI, boring characters and a story that’s barely there are just some of the things that bothered us.- PC Games

Too many elementary mistakes were simply made here: the mission design is too monotonous, the story is poorly told, the technology an impertinence. To make matters worse, the makers neglected the endgame. Thus, the former RPG specialists here have finally lost the trust of many fans.- PC Games

This game shows a lot of ideas and potential, but uses nearly none of it. Although the story is about breaking out of the famous high-security prison Alcatraz the game lacks not only good puzzles, graphics or animations, but even a proper atmosphere of that. So the sound and speech is nearly the highlight of the game. Not the best recommandation for an adventure.- PC Games

If you like games like Dungeon: Siege and Divinity: Original Sin, Kyn could be a nice choice to be played. The Viking-fantasy-setting is well designed, the combat-system is fast and tactical. The classless RPG-system allows flexible character progression and skill-selection. Some minor bugs and uncomfortable menus are annoying. Graphics are nice and sound is very atmospheric.- PC Games

Call of Duty has lost its magic. Modern Warfare 3 is miles away from the epic campaign missions of the franchise. The new open combat missions are boring and we are missing the scripted action sequences of the prequels. After only four hours the story is completed, even for a Call of Duty that’s short. We still have the feeling, this game should be a DLC and not a sequel of MW2. [Campaign Review Score = 40]- PC Games

While the game is not nearly as ground breaking as an earthquake, the concept is unique and expands on a working idea. Technically and visually, Disaster Report 4 is, well, a disaster, but its absurd combination of comedy and drama evokes a certain charm.- PC Games

Towaga: Among Shadows is simple, but fun. The controls are good, the artstyle is beautiful and it just feels nice to play. It’s a pity, then, that the story is over so soon and that some of the fights aren’t as good as the rest of the game.- PC Games

Ghost Recon Breakpoint suffers from the lack of decisiveness. It does not know whether it is a single player game or a loot-shooter like The Division 2 and thus, fails to satisfy either of the two areas. Additionally, a poor enemy AI and a story oozing with clichés add to the shooter distress.- PC Games

With all the negative ratings on Steam, I had severe doubts that there would be any fun to have with Space Hulk: Deathwing. But I was actually pleasantly surprised when I played the game. I came across none of the performance issues, bugs or crashes that so many people had lamented over. Therefore, I was able to actually enjoy myself quite a bit. The gloomy atmosphere and immense fun, that just mowing down Tyranids is, was enough to keep me entertained. Of course, this isn’t supposed to mean, Space Hulk: Deathwing has no flaws. The companion-AI only does a proper job some of the time, the multiplayer lacks motivating content and the gunplay as well as the system for building your character is in need of some refinement. Furthermore, the developers have to improve the difficulty-balancing, because even on the lowest setting I sometimes found myself stuck in very uneven situations. Still, every fan of the 40K-unviverse and linear wave-shooters will definitely have a fun time with Space Hulk: Deathwing. If you experience huge technical issues though, return the game or wait for future patches.- PC Games

A good action game with fast-paced combat, beautiful visuals plus a welcome emphasis on exploration. However the experience is held back by some noticeable flaws: Annoying stealth sections, uninspired environments and the abstruse story are significant letdowns in a game that could have been an incredible sequel.- PC Games
