Apples to Apples on Xbox Live feels a little cheap in its presentation and can't compare to playing the game in person. However, for those who don't have the option to play offline due to distance, it's hard to deny the game's vibrant charm.- Official Xbox Magazine

The game is abnormally long for a kids’ game, and the enemies are a varied bunch, so be prepared to have the young’uns glued to it for a while.- Official Xbox Magazine

It doesn't take long for The First Templar, a Crusades-era action-adventure, to rear its low-budget head. [Aug 2011, p.82]- Official Xbox Magazine

Sure, it's nice to play around with dinosaurs, but the control and framerate issues keep any interest in the game strictly short term. [May 2003, p.75]- Official Xbox Magazine

Sadly, while mowing through thousands of baddies and flattening entire skylines does hold a certain appeal, your $40 is better put toward other 360 action games. [May 2007, p.78]- Official Xbox Magazine

Movement and combat never really come together in a cohesive matter. When you're overrun by the undead or your weapon suddenly breaks and you need to defend and retreat, it becomes painfully obvious that the game can't handle multitasking or movements made in quick succession, and will perform only one (and sometimes none) of the many actions you need to survive.- Official Xbox Magazine

10 bucks isn't bad for a few hours of pleasantly frenzied multiplayer, provided you can coax a few comrades into joining you for the local-only ride.- Official Xbox Magazine

If you were lucky enough to snag a free copy from the Guitar Hero 5 mail-in promotion, you'll likely be pleased with this adequate iteration. But we can't imagine any non-hardcore Halen fans feeling good about dropping $60 on this half-hearted effort. [Jan 2010, p.76]- Official Xbox Magazine

The Raven might test your patience in more ways than one, but Zellner remains as endearing a protagonist as we’re likely to encounter.- Official Xbox Magazine

The game's underpowered scopes and wonky ballistics are often exasperating--long shots are tough, and point blank encounters sometimes are even tougher. [Feb. 2007, p.80]- Official Xbox Magazine

Eat Lead could have been a better critique of the medium than any reviewer could ever write, but it’s neither bad enough to be a savage commentary nor good enough to feel like a satisfying, stinging satire.- Official Xbox Magazine

You’ll certainly enjoy the explosive chaos of these Unreal Tournament–style battles; but with only four game modes and limited match options, even blowing your opponents to smithereens can get boring.- Official Xbox Magazine

Leela's disparate components don't perfectly align, but for meditative newcomers and casual gamers, it's an interesting collection of breezy play sequences. That said, if you're seeking a more engaging Zen experience via Kinect, we recommend the trippy sights and sounds of Child of Eden instead.- Official Xbox Magazine

Though Mars: War Logs marks an achievement for its ambition, rough patches in presentation and gameplay make it a tough recommendation to anyone not willing to weather them. [Nov 2013, p.73]- Official Xbox Magazine

It's a lifeless action game crossed with a shallow strategy game; a game that seems to take the safe route in all things... but one that I still can't stop playing. Arrrrgggh! [Aug 2005, p.80]- Official Xbox Magazine

This is really a review of two games: a derivative story campaign (that you can play solo or with up to three friends in co-op) and a riveting, far superior multiplayer mode that allows you to compete as marines or alien xenomorphs in online matches. Considering Colonial Marines’ relatively long gestation period — roughly six years — it seems more attention was paid to fine-tuning multiplayer than to the campaign.- Official Xbox Magazine

Continental Drift has the markings of a great family game, but we couldn't help but feel like it overestimates what the human body + Kinect can currently control. Only the most devoted players will enjoy mastering this game for the sake of doing so.- Official Xbox Magazine

What sours the deal, however, is the lack of care and value put into the package. JoJo's is premium-priced at $20, and there's little here to justify that cost. The "HD" upscale looks blotched and muddy, and there aren't any tutorials, special challenges, or even combo exercises to ease new players into this very demanding fighting game.- Official Xbox Magazine
