Liberation Maiden is a solid shooter with top-notch presentation (the cut-scenes by anime studio Bones are superb) and frantic action. It's by no means the longest game in the world so only high score fiends will get the best out of it, but if you fall into that category this is well worth your £7.19.- Nintendo Gamer

We can't figure out how on earth we've spent so much time in the game, or what we've actually accomplished, but doing next to nothing has never been so much fun. [Nov 2007, p.38]- Nintendo Gamer

Tentacles should stay where they belong: bothering anime schoolgirls. [July 2010, p.70]- Nintendo Gamer

The ultimate in fantasy warfare, and a great port from Other Formats, too. [Apr 2011, p.64]- Nintendo Gamer

The Zapper is okay in certain games but this one doesn't need it. Sluggish aiming, too. [Feb 2008, p.48]- Nintendo Gamer

Rock solidly made and full of evil-flavoured charm, but you can't help but wish this had been so much more. The Little King still rules Wii. [Aug 2009, p.58]- Nintendo Gamer

It feels like more of a launching point for a fresh fighting mechanic than a game that fully makes something of it. We're interested to see what they do wtih the Wii version. [Aug 2008, p.64]- Nintendo Gamer

At best it's a formulaic RPG, but mostly it's a one-way journey to dullsville. [Feb 2008, p.70]- Nintendo Gamer

By no means bad, but less than we'd expect from the MySims 'franchise'. Limps home a distant second place to the real thing. [Aug 2009, p.67]- Nintendo Gamer

Not only a ferocious challenge but a hearty high-score chaser to boot. Derivative, but derives from the best. [Apr 2009, p.71]- Nintendo Gamer

Too shallow and formulaic to be anything other than an RPG footnote, but this is still a robust, accessible and enjoyable game. [Winter 2009, p.59]- Nintendo Gamer

Highly amusing premise, but as the game goes on, the returns diminish sharply. Do give it a whirl though. [Dec 2008, p.68]- Nintendo Gamer

Spyro's latest, while predictable, is still a slick slice of handheld that's hard to dislike. [Dec 2006, p.39]- Nintendo Gamer

If you think of it as a kind of a spin on Wii Sports Tennis, then you might enjoy elements of this. Unfortunately, with the disappointing controls you should probably give it a miss.- Nintendo Gamer

That old Samba magic is still there, but the challenge is in beating the controls, not the game. This should have been way better, given the console's strengths. [Nov 2008, p.56]- Nintendo Gamer

Despite plenty of colour and 'cheeky' dialogue it's as uplifting as a Wilfred Owen poem. It also lacks the personal touch that a physical board game provides. [Jan 2012, p.104]- Nintendo Gamer

An imbalanced "Gradius"-style powerup system makes getting multiballs and sticky bats far too easy, so you'll find you attention wandering as you clatter unchallenged through one bland brick wass after another. [Aug 2006, p.67]- Nintendo Gamer
