The controls in NBA Live 2004 are tight and very responsive. The freestyle controls have been toned down from last year. This year, the freestyle controls are more suited for the skill players who handle the ball regularly.

Heroes covers a totally different set of rules and a different story. And a strong multiplayer setup which allows players to jump in and out at will make this a game not only should you have, but one your friends should pick up too.

The computer AI against you is not bad. I have found splashes of extreme stupidity with some enemy soldiers as they just stand there and wait for you to shoot them. But others will run at you with their bayonettes pointed, which will damage you.

The lack of quality weapons early on may discourage some players, but stick it out, it will get better.

It has the great gameplay from the original, a new story more, and still looks great. But yanking out the big online feature that made me jump for joy, I can't give the game the same score.

Definitely a thinkers game. And it's something we don't have a whole lot of these days.

But the other half of Torque's persona are the things he sees, the visions he has, the carnage he dreams about. This is what got me...Trust me, it's un-nerving.

It's not groundbreaking, but it doesn't have to be. Kids don't care about that. They care about having fun playing it, and I think that is where Activision has succeeded here.

Something different and new, something that actually makes a spy game a true spy game.

I really liked the theme of the game, and the controls are almost perfect. The game does so many things right, but it does lack a deep story.

But the thing that makes this game just pretty good and not fantastic is the faulty fielding. It's not a deal breaker, but it is noticeable and at times frustrating.

A solid game, it will not knock "Diablo 2" off the thrown of greatest Hack ‘n Slash ever, but it definitely made a good showing for itself.

The storyline is everything you'd expect from a game by Free Radical, as is the look. The gameplay is also very solid, although one of these days someone is going to have to learn how to make some really good enemy AI.

The one thing that brings the game down in score is the still lanky graphics engine.

I continue to be hooked on Gallop Racer for one simple thing, it’s depth.

A great break from the standard FPS, combining gadgets, thinking, searching and good old fashioned combat. This is a great game.

The game was made for a very specific (albeit large and ravenous) audience, and I think that that audience will be pleased with the game.

If you have the PS2 and the EyeToy, you and your opponents can actually set your cameras up so you can see each other while you play; just like you were sitting at the table at Hannah's Casino. That is very cool.

Sports almost twice as many levels as it's predecessor; topping around 80! That's a ton of exploring to do. And much of the game is mission based, and a little more linear than the first Dark Alliance. That's not a bad thing by any means though, and you will find side quests here and there with will yield great rewards to you.

All of the sound effects are top notch. My only gripe is with the voice acting. I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is, but it definitely leaves something to be desired.
