Best of all, Second Sight tells an excellent story and does so with a presentation that borders on interactive cinema.
-
It's just fun, in an admittedly creepy way, to telepathically grab guys by the throat and slam them into walls and ceilings!
-
An exceptionally balanced game. FRD have managed to combine elements of pretty much every third person action game without it ever feeling contrived or forced, and they've selected all the best bits (stealthy kills, plenty of weapons, good storyline) and discarded those ideas that didn't work in other games (no camera control, steep learning curve).
-
With slightly more vivacious level designs and a little American bombast here and there, this very British title could have turned a lot more heads.
-
Ultimately, this game has its merit, as it makes for a decent story and some entertaining psychic powers, but poor gameplay makes for an extremely frustrating game, until you're pretty far along.
-
Crisp of cut-scene, blessed with a refreshingly light touch and low-key compared to the po-faced chest-beating of its peers, Second Sight could well be a high water mark in storytelling through games (as opposed to storytelling around them). [Oct 2004, p.104]
-
Disappointingly dull opposition and having to strictly adhere to the game's go-here-do-this structure keep this title from being a great or remarkable game.
