If your first Takedown doesn't get your blood pumping, then find a job as a bomb squad technician or try and get a spot on the Olympic Air Rifle team, because apparently nothing affects you.- netjak

If you're just a passive Pokémon fan looking for a new pickup, this isn't worth it for you. Stick with Ruby or Sapphire, and that will be plenty of Pokémon for you. Remaking a game that is only 6 years old just smacks of laziness, and Pokémon fans deserve better.- netjak

All in all this is a solidly built offline title that stalls and dies once you try and take it online.- netjak

Overall, SRS is a fairly average racing game that seems to rely too much on its one gimmick of winning girlfriends and not enough on actually being a fun racer.- netjak

As it is currently, Spy Fiction is just going to be slumming with "Cy Girls," "Lifeline" and the rest of the gimmicky MGS look-alike also-rans.- netjak

It reeks of desperation and greed, as if Capcom just threw this together to make as much money as possible. They include the most obscenely difficult and unworkable version of Street Fighter 2 for one part of the package, throw in the forgotten spawn of the series for another, and top it off by including a lousy licensed anime movie instead of any other Street Fighter game.- netjak

- Critic Score
This game isn't as revolutionary as I'd hoped, and what was changed for the most part was changed in a way that I didn't like so much.- netjak

- Critic Score
A blast for most of the first disc, and then quickly tapered off as the game pulled a "Xenogears," Disc 2 and turned into a movie with button presses. It’s not quite as bad as Xenogears, but still, when you have a story and dialogue that isn’t exactly going to knock your socks off, gameplay is what saves your game’s proverbial bacon.- netjak

- Critic Score
This title lacks the coherence and the qualities of a confined, scary space that helped to make the first part of the series so great.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
The game has sped up considerably, allowing for a much more exciting flow to the game. The goalies have been made more realistic, as opposed to the brick walls standing in front of the goals in last year's game.- netjak

The Guy Game features tons of questions and the inclusion of the Spring Break girls is an original twist on an old concept; after all, "Hollywood Squares" was doing the same shtick even before "Street Smarts."- netjak

A solid little title, despite annoyances like imperfect control and an inadequate save system.- netjak

The main issues that would sway a WWE fan away from this game would be the underachieving roster, the unpromising story mode, and the hair-pulling AI.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
This game easily lacks more depth than any game that I have played in the past year, if not longer.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
There's a lot of repetition in the levels, and the fact that Astro Boy's weaponry is for all intents and purposes unlimited, the game is a bit on the easy side.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
Stalking around the environments can be genuinely creepy at times, but the game hardly offers the sort of frights delivered by, say, Silent Hill 4. With somewhat repetitive gameplay and the fact that I had a hard time actually caring about the story, Ghosthunter is one to rent for the weekend and have a little fun.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
It retains everything you loved about the previous games and simply adds more content.- netjak

A very well crafted game with great balance and a surprisingly large strategic depth. It offers a long enough gameplay to last well beyond the 2004 Presidential election, and because of the lack of violence and sex, it is accessible to people of all ages.- netjak

Sure, the series succeeds in the atmosphere department, but atmosphere is more needed for the spectators than the guys playing the game. Madden, to me, is a warm, fluffy roll without the hamburger. Yo EA, where’s the beef?- netjak

A superbly designed game, which will provide plenty of entertainment value for its target audience, pre-teen children and their parents.- netjak

As glorified expansion packs go, however, it's certainly one of the best, and while the price does seem a bit high, it's still worth every penny.- netjak

The level design makes it impossible to create any interesting variety in gameplay... The AI in Doom 3 creates a whole new level of stupid.- netjak

Within its current price range it's one of the best games around outside of the Greatest Hits titles, especially for anyone craving a good action game that happened to slide under the radar.- netjak

We may be stuck with this edition for the next five years, but it’s an outstanding little sports gem to be stuck with, and for a price tag that can’t be beat.- netjak

If you're looking for the next great RPG, look elsewhere; Sudeki won't satisfy you. One the other hand, if you want a fairly light game that's heavy on combat with just enough puzzle solving to keep you engaged, then Sudeki may indeed be the game for you.- netjak

Worth noting is that ESPN NFL 2K5 is one of the few third-party games to take advantage of the Xbox's custom soundtracks, and it even goes a step further by allowing the player to set up Stadium Music that plays at certain points in a game, such as when the home team scores a touchdown or forces an interception.- netjak

Absolutely worthless. If you see this game in the trash, don't bother fishing it out. Your life is too short to waste it on this stuff.- netjak

- Critic Score
Probably the worst game of the year, and definitely on my top 20 worst games ever. It was truly disappointing. The bottom line here is that the game was severely rushed.- netjak

If you factor in the poor character models, horrendous draw distance, oft-mediocre voice acting, and incidental story, Spider-Man 2 comes down to a single gimmick: the excellent web slinging.- netjak

"Where's the Capture function?!" In FM3, that was an awesome attack. You'd pop the enemy pilot of out his wanzer, and you could kill him and take the wanzer, or if you wanted to fight honorably, you'd hop out of your wanzer, and engage in a man to man fight. In FM4, no such luck. [JPN Import]- netjak

An engaging and addictive experience even today. With the Card system adding an extra dimension to battles, ROTDD almost feels like a new game, but retains enough similarities to the original for series veterans to not walk away disappointed.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
It's not an epic adventure, it's not a classic Zelda game, but it is a fast-paced, fun multiplayer experience that manages to be visceral, exciting, and thoughtful all at the same time.- netjak

The important thing to understand is that you’re getting exactly that, being the version that came out for the NES; you get nothing more and nothing less. More than any of the other NES re-releases, though, The Legend of Zelda is easily worth the $20 investment, despite the lack of updates and occasional slowdown.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
The aural aspects are equally uninspiring. While there is nothing wrong with them, they are simply not very impressive at all.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
Could have been a classic in the world of gaming if it had better AI and been quite a bit longer. Unfortunately, like most movie games, parts of it fell short. Overall, the game still presented an entertaining, story driven shooter that is well worth a rental.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
All missions are full co-op ready. You and a friend can play together to beat the game together! This was always my favorite feature of the previous versions of this game (as well as other old school games). This only makes the game more fun to play when a buddy is over.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
The glaring clipping error kept the game from true greatness, as did the minor glitches in the rag doll system and the difficulty modes.- netjak

- Critic Score
Atlus has managed to somehow improve upon one of the greatest NES games ever. To beat-em-up fans such as myself, the old school greatness means two schools – Cross Town High and River City High, with all the turf in between. Atlus took us back, and there's no reason for anyone to resist one more bout with Alex and Ryan.- netjak

If you’re thin on patience or hate puzzle games, Mario vs. Donkey Kong will likely just frustrate you, and you’re better off looking elsewhere. However, if you’re looking for something to stretch both your brain and your reflexes, give Mario vs. Donkey Kong a try.- netjak

- Critic Score
While Transformers is a great game, the replay value is surprisingly low. This is mostly because it consists of just a single player campaign mode. While increasing the difficulty level will bring different and more challenging combinations of enemies, the strategies remain the same.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
There are plenty of ideas in this game that can be fostered into something that is not only cool and innovative, but contains great gameplay. As for now, there won't be many people who'll have the patience to deal with this game.- netjak

This game just bored the life out of me from the second I put it into my GameCube. There are so many problems with Custom Robo that it amazes me that Nintendo was willing to publish it in the first place.- netjak

Supposing that anyone of a mature age does have the patience to endure the yelling and whining of little girls (in English AND Japanese!!), a serious strategist won't be happy with this one.- netjak

I had fun playing this and will be playing it for a while, but this game has nowhere near the amount of mass appeal that "Project Gotham Racing 2" has.- netjak

Merely an average third-person shooter that happened to take place in snapshots of things I’ve already seen in a hundred Clint Eastwood or John Wayne westerns.- netjak

I have never been able to make a character that fit so closely to my exacting specifications as I have in City of Heroes.- netjak

-
- Critic Score
The originality in this series is pretty much gone. On the other hand, those who pick up this game as their first Onimusha title will most likely come away with being very pleased with what they play.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
The gameplay formula is as tight and rewarding as ever, and the slightly dated graphics can be forgiven thanks to an innovative approach to the story, logical gameplay mechanics and excellent level design.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
In a generation of games where developers put more time into cutscenes, talking, and character development than into pure gameplay, this hack/slash RPG is a huge relief. There's a time and place for games that are more like movies, but Shining Soul 2 is a reminder as to what this hobby of videogames is all about.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
While this game is far from perfect, if you’re a fan of World Series Baseball or baseball games in general, this purchase is a no-brainer. In fact I’d go so far to say that ESPN Major League Baseball could be the game to beat "MVP Baseball" this season.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
There is very little new to be found in the GameCube version unless you're planning on having three friends around often enough to enjoy the multiplayer aspect of the game.- netjak

- Critic Score
Definitely the lesser of the two major street basketball titles. A little more polish, a lot less loading, and we might have a showdown next year.- netjak

- Critic Score
The most realistic and polished boxing game that has ever been created. However, at the same time, it doesn't compel me to really appreciate the sport more. While it does force you to learn more about boxing in order to win at high levels.- netjak

- Critic Score
The concept is all there, but some features, such as funds management, background story and sounds, are only half-baked and appear as if the developers lost interest in completing the title.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
Lack of challenge, mediocre presentation, and unfriendly driving simulation makes DDA an unworthy contender in the racing game genre.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
The game is a bit convoluted at times and it takes a bit of patience to figure everything out, but once you do, the game really picks up. I know it is not a title for everyone, but for anyone who ever had dreams of running a big wrestling show, this is for you.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
As the sequel to the excellent Syberia, it is quite disappointing. The story is too segmented to be enjoyable, the puzzles are not as rewarding as in the first part and most importantly, the game fails to elicit the same kind of emotional response from the player that its predecessor did.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
But should this game be placed above "Everquest"? Should it be played instead of "City of Heroes"? In the opinion of this reviewer, the answer to both of those questions is no, unless one happens to be a life-long fan of everything Final Fantasy.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
There is nothing here that sets it apart from the crowd in terms of gameplay, but the visual and physics aspect of the game are bar none the best available today. Far Cry is worth a look, but be warned; you are going to need a beast of a computer to run this as it was intended to be run.- netjak

An absolutely astounding online multiplayer component. This could be a game in itself.- netjak

Wade's too easy to figure out, and it just doesn't have the staying power to be able to go toe-to-toe with the best of all time. It has the feel of the champ, but just doesn't have the heart of a champion.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
There just wasn’t anything very impressive at all here. Weak visuals, gameplay that runs through its total variety in the scope of an hour or so, and sounds that just don’t seem to be there at all combine to spoil the experience.- netjak

After a few moments into it, it’s likely you’ll forget about "Resident Evil" and its repetition.- netjak

The left handed hitter bug and the player progression bug affect both the game dynamics and the franchise mode’s lasting value respectively.- netjak

There is so much I could say about this game that decorum prohibits that it's almost frightening. Sam Kinnison and George Carlin, if they asked me about this game, would be shocked by how much cursing would be involved in my description.- netjak

While Rio may frustrate you to the point of losing your religion, the character interaction can and does make you forget she’s fake. The times the VR reminds you you’re playing a flawed game, and you remember Rio isn’t real you’ll still wish she was, and the ending is definitely worth it.- netjak

If you dig "Dynasty Warriors," this is a must buy for you. If you dig "Panzer Dragoon Orta," this is a possible buy for you. (there are less Dragon specific sequences than there are DW style sequences.) [JPN Import "Drag-On Dragoon"]- netjak

The controls are tight and responsive and only really pose a problem when trying to switch between different skills. Two skills can be assigned to face buttons on the controller, but switching to a third is a bit unwieldy, especially in the midst of battle.- netjak

I can't see anyone wanting to replay this over and over just to unlock Hisui, Hotsuma, and Joe Musashi, so this game is just a rental, if that.- netjak

It would appear that the transition from consoles to the GBA has sucked quite a bit of the fun out of the game; ironically, the GBA game seems dumbed-down when compared to its console counterparts.- netjak

- Critic Score
Besides the creativity that was put in to add those 100 new cards, this is actually quite a lazy game.- netjak

- Critic Score
With the right mix of people, this might be a decent multiplayer game, but playing against the computer in random battles gets old quickly, and the campaign doesn’t provide enough depth or challenge to make Wrath Unleashed appropriate for more than a rental.- netjak

- Critic Score
While it is a little rough in the sound department, a few of the visuals are off, and it has slight limitations on how you can obtain your Pokemon, Colosseum is a worthy of a Pokemon fan’s time. This is the full-on console RPG many Pokemon fans have been clamoring for.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
A treat for the senses with fantastic gameplay, a rather strong story, given the nature of the series, and plenty of alien-blasting action, it's going to be tough to find a better GBA game in 2004.- netjak
-
- Critic Score
Like in any game requiring human co-operation, it’s only as good as the people you play it with, but for those who put the time and effort into getting the crew together on, say, a weekly basis, you’ll find a game worthy of the Final Fantasy name.- netjak

- Critic Score
While most shooters nowadays have you dodging through a hailstorm of bullets, the enemies in R-Type make you think a bit more. There a definitive patterns and ways to dispatch every creature in the game, learn them, and you don't find yourself in tight situations.- netjak

- Critic Score
Little more than a full-price expansion set. Nevertheless, with fifteen to twenty hours of gameplay and cooperative play, there is plenty to like.- netjak

For the hardcore gamer. There's quite a lot of quality and thought put behind it, and the best part is that the game's ending leads to very exciting idea of what must be in the third edition of the game.- netjak

If you’re only going to play one game in this franchise, .hack//QUARANTINE is the one to get. A powerful plot (including the series’ conclusion) and access to most of the gameplay from the prior three games makes it the definitive title in the series.- netjak

- Critic Score
It does, apart from the lack of options and jumping puzzles, have solid gameplay, decent graphics, and excellent sound, but the lack of originality and poor story keeps it from being really worth anything more than a casual rental.- netjak

Everyone involved in the decisions that made this game the way it is should be embarrassed. It's a disgrace to the gaming industry that this got made. It's an insult to Star Trek, and it's an affront to consumers. Not only does this go down as the worst Star Trek game I've ever played, unless I'm repressing some bad memories, this also goes down as worst space shooter I've ever played.- netjak

This game misses the point and misses it badly. At first glance, the barely above average graphics, the hip-hop version of NFL uniforms, and the bone cracking sound during gameplay certainly seem like the game will have potential. But for the reasons stated in this review, no serious football gamer will play this longer than a week.- netjak
