Despite the cutesy idea, there is a pretty solid game buried inside of Lego Indiana Jones.

If you don't like Penny Arcade, or the humor that their strip usually relies upon, the odds are good that you won't find much here to justify the price tag; Precipice's story does little to bring the player's character into the universe as more than just an observer or someone along for the ride.

Iron Man is strictly about the suit. It's almost like the video game was based entirely around the suit, with a few levels thrown in for good measure.

With Ring of Fates, I feel like the seed of a great game is in the card. It just was never allowed to come to fruition, and the end result is a game that feels half-completed.

As a $30 puzzle magazine, Professor Layton leaves quite a bit to be desired.

Basically, Devil May Cry 4 is just the Devil May Cry game from 7 years ago with a fresh coat of paint, and that is fine by me.

Within Draglade, there are several good ideas and the basic seeds of a solid fighting game. At its best, it plays like a stripped-down version of Jump Ultimate Stars.

Mass Effect is a serviceable game and there is plenty of fun to be had, just be prepared to be frequently slapped in the face by how inconsistent everything is. Mass Effect is a resoundingly average game in every aspect, which is a complete letdown given BioWare’s history.

Like the previous entries in the series, it has a strong storyline and gripping, tight gameplay. But it's because of the subject matter at times that the player might be turned off.

In a decent little package, Microsoft has managed to gather a nice little bundle that will no doubt be the beginning of a series of “Scene It’s.”

At times, the play control can be a bit wonky, but overall Zack & Wiki is a solid addition to the point and click adventure genre.

It feels more along the lines of an expansion pack to the original game as opposed to a new game, and the heavy use of recycled environments does nothing to mitigate the fact that it's basically the same game.

Now that it's over, however, it's obvious that the game will disappoint people looking for an RPG on the 360 that's truly on the level of Final Fantasy.

Overall, Luminous Arc has a lot going for it, and manages to deliver a mostly-solid TRPG performance with only a few flaws.

Project Sylpheed has just enough there to feel like you're about to get your need for another good Wing Commander game satiated, and then it doesn't.

Despite my many complaints, Diner Dash is not a lost cause. It is still a fun game, but the price is way too high to justify a purchase under any circumstances. I would recommend this game, but only as a rental or if you can buy it for under $20.

While ten stages is a decent amount for the Arcade, they get old fast, and even the old PS1 DDR games offered close to twice as many tracks. The music is great and the visuals impressive; but those do not a game make.

Unfortunately, the touch screen is not as accurate as a mouse and I don’t even want to get started about the glitch - if it had happened any more often than it did, then I would be unable to recommend this game.

You are going to want to hate it, but the simplicity and mindless fun behind it will probably have you coming back.

The primary stumbling block that I can see is that fans of Meteos will feel a little underwhelmed, while Disney fans might be left wanting more challenge too quickly for the game's good.

What disappoints me so much is that in the end, the game could have been done so much better, just by applying some of the last five years' worth of gameplay innovations to the tried-and-true formula-- namely, obscure origins for its creature roster and maybe throwing a couple mini-games in.

If you’ve already tracked down four remotes, you might as well leave this game on the shelf; you’ll get at least as much enjoyment out of the game that came with the console.

In the end, it's nothing but some nice 2D art strapped onto a mostly non-engaging story and a halfhearted attempt at a game. The gimmick to gameplay ratio is almost off the charts for this one.

A partially fun, partially frustrating escapade for Phoenix. Once again, the puzzle construction is likely to send you running for a FAQ when, if it was done right it should have you yelling "Take THAT!" at your digital legal foe right along with Phoenix.

Sadly, like many other previous WarioWare games, Smooth Moves doesn't have much replay value. Even though there are 200 mini games and about 20 different controller positions, there isn't much to do once you've completed the game.

This glorified tech demo is an excellent game for groups, whether the serious gamers you'd expect from a college dorm or the kids at a family reunion.

Fairly forgettable. However, you cannot underestimate the fun it is when you get a few of your buddies together or hop online for some Xbox Live fun. Heck, if Big Bumpin' were offered on the Arcade, it would cost 320 points ($4), making it the cheapest XBLA game you could purchase. For this, I stress that this title is a tremendous value for those looking for some quick achievements and easy (and cheap) gameplay to jump into.

At $3.99 with the purchase of a Burger King value meal, Sneak King is far cheaper, and surprisingly better, than most games on the Xbox Live Arcade.

A decent game for those who love the genre, but this release isn’t quite sure exactly what it wants to be. While worth it for the dedicated RPG fan and Final Fantasy completists, it shows that Square Enix has a long way to go before they can dominate the handheld RPG market.

This game is available for multiple systems, but if you happen to have a Wii, then that is the system on which you need to play this game.

The premise behind Viva Piñata is solid, but irritating gameplay and sound issues hindered the overall execution. What could have been a true classic ends up being a remarkably average game.

The idea behind Elite Beat Agents is one of the best I've seen. The story is told with near-perfect timing, and the engine itself is solid. However, the song choice is incredibly spotty, and the multiplayer modes are a disappointment.

In terms of a remake compared to the original, Final Fantasy V Advance manages to faithfully reproduce the experience of the original game. The biggest problem with that is that Final Fantasy V was never a great game in the first place.

But the play’s the thing, and in this title, the play is a chore to get from cutscene to cutscene. Though I’ve often snarked that this was how Square Enix designed the series starting with Final Fantasy VII, I can’t imagine this is truly what the designers wanted from their latest creation. The result is a decent but ultimately disappointing experience from this venerable series’ latest entry.

Despite the relative brevity of the experience, I can honestly say that Touch Detective is an excellent game to go through... but only once. It's disappointing that the game is so short, because the eccentric cases and endearing cast just deserve to have more than just a brief few hours in the spotlight.

Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria was tweaked where it shouldn't have been, and was left alone where it needed tweaks. It's still a fun time, but it's unquestionably a step down from its classic predecessor.

I have to say, in terms of presentation, Okami by far is the bet game I’ve ever seen...However, games are meant to be played. And honestly, between the humor that falls flat at times, the worst plot twist I’ve seen in a game since college, and the sheer lack of challenge in the game, Okami falls well short of greatness.

A pretty good job porting the game, but if you don't get into this game for the sake of make a run at the top of the leaderboard, or if you're not a shooter aficionado, you're probably not going to be to enthralled by this game.

The core game is still in there in Command, but it's buried under layers of gimmicky interfaces and an atrocious framework.

NCAA Football 07 for the Xbox 360 adds a layer of high definition polish to a franchise that was beginning to feel a bit to familiar year-to-year on the Xbox and PlayStation 2.

The core gameplay is enjoyable enough, and would be more so if it weren't for the run marking bug, but there is little about the game that makes it seem designed for a handheld platform.

Seems like a quick money grab from Rockstar.

It doesn't have as much as its esteemed cousin, Brain Age, but what it does offer is fun. You will quickly find a favorite game, and spend some exasperating moments trying to best your top score.

There are glitches upon glitches in the online version of this game, infesting the very area of the game that would have made it the finest in its class. Sometimes you cannot access the online mode. Sometimes, upon accessing it, you find your transmission games (games via email) frozen forever. You can play around the glitches until your FC becomes unplayable.

LostMagic is a solid offering for handheld fans clamoring for a good roleplaying game. A weak storyline and some other minor problems keep this from being a classic along the lines of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, but the large variety of spells and monsters and WiFi multiplayer support should keep players entertained for many hours.

What a horrible, horrible waste. The game had it all. Slick presentation, a decent, yet completely predictable story, fun gameplay, and even branching to add levels of replayability. And then someone cast that all aside because of their stupid need to have their own version of the final trench run mission, combined with the fact that they have no idea how to create a good boss.

This is one of those games that while beatable on a weekend rental, is solid enough that the excess of strangeness means you'll probably have an enjoyable time with it, and crack a smile while playing through at least once.

Odama is the third-best console game that involves rolling a giant ball over people. This is not the faint praise that it would initially seem to be, but neither is it the best of recommendations.

A huge disappointment.

If all you really wanted out of life was to be able to roll up new objects and read what someone writes about them when they've been given the go-ahead to be as wacky as possible, Me & My Katamari might be enough to keep you satiated.

Too many of my experiences with this game were about boredom and annoyance.

"Gun-porn" turns out to be the most accurate descriptor anyone slapped onto the game. I mean, how many times can you rewatch the same bit of pr0n before you're completely unstimulated by it? It's intense for the first experience, but completely diminishing returns every time after that.

I think most people will find Generation of Chaos too tough to get into and end up overwhelmed by the amount of things they can do before they ever get settled into their own style of play.

If you like customizing big robots, you're going to be happy with this one. I realize that's a niche, but it's a niche I'm part of.

Grandia III is one of those games that you enjoy enough while you play, but afterwards, you can’t remember for the life of you why. Everything in this game has been done before better elsewhere.

While the gameplay will likely be hit or miss depending on your genre preferences, it’s difficult to deny that Exit's interesting graphical style and presentation that make it one of the more memorable games to be released for the PSP.

Sure you can play 3-player ad-hoc, but why pay for 3 copies of what basically amounts to each one of you getting the side of the cabinet with the busted controller?

Super Mario Strikers both surprised me and disappointed me at the same time: it looks good, it plays good, and it takes the dreadfully boring sport of soccer and makes it somewhat enjoyable.

College Hoops 2K6 does a great job of replicating the emotional roller coaster that is college basketball.

Both in terms of plot and in terms of battle engine, this could have been easily done in the 8-bit days. While certainly a workman's RPG, it's one best suited for those who want something like they were fifteen years ago.

While the combat is simplistic and the game doesn't take a lot of risks, it does make for a solid enough package that like Arc the Lad: Twilight of Spirits, is slightly better than the sum of its parts.

Not a bad addition to the ranks of dance games; it is simply as unpolished as one would expect from a company's first entry into the genre.

For every new innovation, solid gameplay design, and visual accomplishment, there’s another half-hour of gameplay that seems just like the last.

It is not without its flaws, but it does make some attempts at innovation, which is more than I can say for most licensed games, if not most games period. It's too short for me to wholeheartedly advocate a full priced purchase.

Kim Possible: Kimmunicator is short on replay and originality, but it is still a solid platformer for the next generation of gamers. The variety of levels and moves makes it more enjoyable than many similar titles.

The free-roaming feel of the Old West writ small, this is a game you can finish, complete, and conquer within the space of an average rental. But, on that count, rent this game!

A game based on a boring game, eh? Well, it's no surprise that this one will end up boring as well.

Overall, this game really surprised me. I had initially picked it up during a deep sale and didn't expect much but it turned out to be a lot of fun. The combat system is especially well done given how complex it is. Still it's a bit dragged down by the mangled plot scenes and the sharp increase in difficulty.

I liked the game's attempts at innovation through the weapon system and the devil forging bits, but ultimately, you're just going to be mashing the X button nearly all the way through the game.

Anyone who has already played through one of its predecessors may as well leave this on the shelf.

Decidedly mediocre. Being able to play as a Jedi is definitely one of its strongest qualities, but it really doesn't make up for a really lackluster massive battlefield shooter.

The game definitely takes its place in the halls of infamy as one of the single most thrilling MMO experiences out there now. The raw catharsis of robbing banks, kidnapping innocents, and basically acting naughty in a virtual world while dressed up as the result of getting Jack Kirby and Stan Lee stoned-- there's little out there that beats it.

Its story is masterful, woven by an absolute master of the genre. However, the graphical flaws and awkward missteps keep this from being a truly great game.

Given the medium, that this is about as good as an FPS can be done on the PSP. (Aside from the retarded Tachikoma, and the ugly versions of the characters.) Which is to say, that nobody should ever, EVER make another FPS on the PSP. This game is proof of why it will never work.

If you're going to buy a copy of the game and can meet its intimidating PC sys. requirements (128 mb video, need an Nvidia FX 5700 or better, or the Radeon equivalent), get that. Otherwise, the X-Box version is probably your next best bet.

There are many better DDR mixes out there, ones with actual challenge and ones where you can use better third-party mats. It's not that DDR Mario Mix is bad. It just doesn't take enough classic DDR elements and bogs the game down with too much extraneous junk.

Nothing spectacular here, but it'll do.

Blitz: The League is its own universe now, and this Blitz far exceeds its NFL-based predecessors. I hope to hear from Midway and the likes of superstars Quentin Sands, Chad Longstreet, and Kwazi Mbutabe again very soon.

If Capcom could just get some better scenario writers; someone to weed out the contradictions of their own storylines, and someone to make this a little less "out of left field" and a bit more logical progression towards the truth, this could be fun for a larger audience.

Digital Devil Saga 2, while a quality role-playing game, doesn't live up to the legacy of its immediate predecessor.

Normally, FIFA 06 wouldn't be such a bad game, but I feel that it basically just feels like a launch title.

While "B&W" simply was dull and arduous, B&W2 ended up being far too easy to handle with little reason to go through again as the opposite alignment.

If you find yourself in a charitable frame of mind, and can overlook the ridiculous story, one-dimensional characters, and hackneyed story elements, Trauma Center is a great twitch-action game.

Ultimately, Diplomacy is no fun at all when you are playing by yourself, but a bit better when playing with others over a network.

While Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness certainly has an improved tweaking of the battle system from the previous game, the story is insufferable and there's very little in the game beyond Lugia to justify picking it up over any other Pokémon title – and pretty much every Pokémon fan had that information in hand well before the game itself came out, really rendering this review pointless.

A well put together play that is a vast improvement over most other flight sims of the genre. Whether or not you buy it depends on how dedicated you are to flight sims, or to historical gaming in general.

It's easy to see that the DS was made for adventures like this, but I'm sad to say that unless they get better, we're going to see the point-and-click genre die out again. Trace Memory gives old-school gamers something to be excited about-- but only for a little while.

Given that this came out less than a year after KUF: C, this game feels like a mere expansion pack or a patch with a full game price tag. There's not a lot of development in regards to the characters or story.

And so, we come to the conclusion, and that conclusion is a sad one: stick with Links 2004, Hotshots Golf 3, Hotshots Golf Fore!, or even Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005. At least those games had rewarding gameplay.

But, if you can get past the unnecessarily complex controls and obscene difficulty of said missions, you'll be rewarded with a rank based on the speed with which you completed your objectives, the damage inflicted on your enemy, and the number of letters you're gonna have to send home to your troops' families.

Hardly a vast leap forward for the series, but it's not a simple graphical improvement with a minor gameplay upgrade thrown in either.

The game is worth a purchase if you're looking for a decent new party game, but it isn't anything more than a weekend rental if you're not.

For most gamers, this is a pass. There's just not enough value in the game long term in the 2 games to make this worth your money at a $40 price point, or even $30.

With the laughably bad art and writing in the cutscenes, and gameplay clocking in at less than a day's worth of casual play, I would MAYBE recommend this at a half-price purchase. This is a definite rental. You definitely should play this, but you definitely shouldn't pay for it.

Without characters that you care about and with very little fleshing out, you don't have a compelling story. Without a compelling story, a lot of the flaws one could overlook due a more complete overall package, like Disgaea, become major annoyances.

As it is though, if you can get past the cheap humor that gets no laughs (even the mighty David Spade would have said "no mas" after 2 of the character designs.) the gameplay is good enough to make this a keeper.

Definitely a more realistic gladiator experience than that found in Shadow of Rome, but it comes off as being rather stale.

There's absolutely no reason to own this game. Even a shooter fan like myself isn't going to find enough reason to keep this game around any longer than 3 days tops.
