Atone: Heart of the Elder Tree is a half-successful work, therefore with notable aspects, in particular the graphic style, and with others that sink it, such as the musical combat system. Not that it is denied a complete turn, but ultimately it lacks the right compactness to become an important experience, also castrated by a certain lack of direction in the writing, which offers absurdly distant negative and positive peaks.

Rogue Spirit is a title that is hard not to recommend, because it does its job. At the same time, however, it's as if it never really lets go throughout the entire game, failing to create memorable moments to focus solely on its roguelike nature.

Teslagrad 2 is a successful game that if it was slightly more ambitious it would certainly have stood out more.

Cookie Cutter is a video game made of contrasts. On the one hand we have Cherry, a completely crazy, foul-mouthed, vulgar, violent protagonist, perfectly aware of being a stick of dynamite thrown towards the brutal destruction of all his enemies. On the other hand, there is a virtual world that sometimes can't match the novelty of his protagonist. Net of this we have a very entertaining combat system, with excellent battles against bosses and a good average quality of the design of enemies.

Shadow Warrior 3 delivers a frantic and spectacular but rather linear experience, which can be beaten quite quickly and doesn't feel special. Those who hoped for an evolution of the mechanics seen in Shadow Warrior 2 will be disappointed, while fans of traditional shooters could appreciate the new adventure of Lo Wang even in its absolute harmlessness.

This game is built around the fun you get in collecting tons of secrets and items all across its levels. Combat mechanics, physics and vehicle handling are a bit outdated and could use some improvements, but all in all there's a lot of good time to spend with Indy made out of Lego Bricks.

The Amazing Spiderman is not your usual crappy tie-in but a good adventure with tons of stuff to do which really feels like a Spiderman game should.

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet focus on exploring, but the technical issues are hard to ignore. The story struggles to expand its limits, so it's weak and shallow; the gameplay is solid as ever, luckily, and it introduces some new mechanics perfect for PvP. Discovering and capturing pokémon is enjoyable thanks to many new ways to explore the region of Paldea. We hope they will be the last transitional pokémon games.

The blend of FPS and RTS mechanics in a single game is a nice experiment, and even if both sides have some issues, switching between them in real time is definitely a fun and satisfying experience.

Nintendogs + Cats is not so different from Nintendogs. It has cats and 3D, but they don't change the gameplay; this means it is still the king of casual games, but, this time, it feels a little less "fresh".

Double Dragon Neon is a nice, passionate remake of the 1987 game we all know and love. It delivers a hardcore experience that will keep you entertained for hours, especially if you have a friend to play with.

Operation Tango is a great cooperative experience. This "spy simulator" basically offers two games in one and thus manages to make up for the limited number of missions and low longevity.

Tomodachi Life is not really a life simulator. If you were expecting a sort of Animal Crossing with Miis, you are going for a huge disappointment. As it is, Tomodachi Life is a fun game to play for a few minutes once in a while: it gets pointless and repetitive fast, but it's always fun to see Miis interact and do weird things.

Dead Island is an interesting hybrid with elements of FPS and RPG with a survival horror mood that draws inspiration from many other games, but it succeeds in creating something new. With its gigantic island freely explorable, tons of quests and permanent sense of fear it's more an open world RPG than an action game and it certainly has some flaws. But it's quite unique and a very good cooperative experience for 4 players.

Far Cry: New Dawn takes us into a post-apocalyptic Montana, which is fascinating and insidious at the same time. The story is nice, but the evil twins aren't as good of a collective nemesis as the previous one was and the RPG elements don't feel solid as they should.

Days Gone is a solid game that lacks substance. The story has some cool twists but doesn’t move forward fast enough. Hordes are cool and let the game finally shine, but why hide them for so long?

Asterigos Curse of the Stars is a non-innovative, but fun and solid action role-playing game. It offers a good amount of content at a budget price, an interesting story that can be deepened if you invest time in narrative collectibles. It has no major flaws, but at the same time it does not excel.

Terraria arrives on the 3DS as the great sandbox game we all know. Unfortunately there are some compromises in this version, such as the lack of any online feature: it is still a great game, but probably this 3DS edition is among the least appealing ones.
