Given the quantity and quality of ideas in the first Super Mario Galaxy, the general feeling was that the sequel would have brought more or less the same things, maybe developing certain concepts and adding some new stages. We were instead surprised by the numerous new features, both in terms of gameplay and in terms of variety, with many completely new galaxies and powers.

An absolute masterpiece that you can't miss: this is a perfect sequel in the GTA series.

Breath of the Wild on Wii U runs at 720p, and has the same, small framerate issues of the Switch version. The loading times are surprinsingly good, considering the size of the game. Anyway, the only important thing to say is that Breath of the Wild on Wii U is as excellent as his Switch brother.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves takes all the best from the first chapter and improve it even further. Technically speaking the game is amazing from every point of view, the gameplay mechanic is varied, involving and spectacular. The multiplayer is surprisengly solid and funny, and push the longevity far beyond Drake's Fortune. A must buy, not only for PS3 owner.

A mind blowing game, that consecrates Larian Studios as one of the greats of the RPG genre, and will probably have the same impact today that its predecessors had in their age. It's a superb and brilliant game, that we wholly recommend to anyone who loves the genre, or deep video games in general.

Modern, fascinating and truly innovative, Mass Effect 2 is a brand new take for the western rpg, Bioware reached a perfect mix between action and storytelling, graced by stunning visuals and a long and challenging gameplay.

A superb sequel to one of the best games on the iphone, Super QuickHook is a fantastic experience with some great art style.

This is the best Bethesda could afford with The Elder Scrolls series and if you're a real RPG player, you simply can't miss Skyrim.

Baldur's Gate 3 is a masterpiece and the PS5 port works as great as we could expect from the passionate guys and ladies and Larian. A wonderful port for an incredible experience awaits PS5 owners.

Tears of the Kingdom starts from the foundation of the saga and aims for the sky: here, the tradition meets a freedom that's out of reach for modern video games, offering literally infinite ways to interact with a kingdom that is alive and full of content. It's a game which constantly answers any demand from the player and never stops providing new prompts. The return of dungeons, the world that rests hidden beneath the surface, and the floating archipelagos are great additions, but ultimately it's the gameplay - which doesn't know comparatives - to set a new standard.

Flipping Legend is an arcade game based on a very simple mechanics, but one that works perfectly well.

God of War is the new technical benchmark on the console and it's a concrete step forward for the series in terms of gameplay, narrative structure and lore. We're not so sure about its combat system and its lack of enemy variety.

By leveraging a wonderful creative process in close contact with their community, Supergiant has created an extraordinary title, capable of soaring above all others in its genre in terms of overall quality, structural brilliance, balance of its parts, and beauty. Hades II is an impeccable work, and we've been unable to find any real flaws in it, game after game. Perfection may not be of this world, but Supergiant has come very close.

Batman: Arkham City isn't just better than Arkham Asylum, it's one of the best game ever made and it's also one of the very few satisfying experiences that has been produced in the last few years.

Metroid Prime was, and still is, one of the best games published during this century. The visuals of this Remastered are just amazing: this is how Metroid Prime looked like in our memories, not in reality.

Ocarina of Time is still a masterpiece, even after all these years; and this 3DS remake is hands down the best version, with improved graphics and the smart use of the touch screen. The first real must-buy for the new Nintendo handheld, hands down.

Mass Effect 2 is still a game you shouldn't miss at all costs, and one of the best RPG's of this generation of consoles. You need an internet connection to download all of the contents which EA didn't include on the main BR disk.

Atlus has ported Persona 5 Royal almost flawlessly to Nintendo Switch and we still can recommend it to JRPG lovers.

Almost eight years later, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt manages to shine among its most direct competitors. This version takes a huge step towards the next-gen thanks to improved visuals, a ton of quality of life improvements and most importantly some of the best mods out there. There’s also a glimpse of new content, but the traditional game, the one dated back to 2015, is still the brightest diamond in the package.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is a very, very good Persona-like RPG imprisoned in an outdated shell.

Infinite is incredible from a plot and artistic point of view but has several problems in terms of gameplay features. It is an excellent shooter but sadly not the best title in the franchise.

Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions on iOS is a fantastic version of one of the best twin stick shooters around.

An extraordinary sum of the knowledge From Software gained during the years. A bona fide peak of the soulslike genre, enormous and brutal, and capable of magnifying both the bad aspects of the genre and the good ones. The great parts greatly obscure the bad ones though, making for a game that will be talked about for a long time.

God of War Ragnarok is as good as the previous title from 2018, but for completely different reasons. Its gameplay is more complete, deep and with a more rewarding combat system. But, as a sequel so similar to the prequel, it doesn't show any real innovation and all the exploration could show some fatigue. It is a "more of the same": an awesome, marvelous, fun and long-lasting more of the same.

Supergiant Games did a great job adapting the controls and creating a perfect tablet version for an already wonderful action RPG.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a great game, but not as great as we expected. The revamped multiplayer and new spec ops are worth the price, but the single player is too much similar to the first episode and it lacks the excellence of the story telling of Modern Warfare.

The Last Of Us Part II is not a fun game per se. This is a real interactive drama like no other game in the past. A brave, bold, experience that sets a new standard in the medium.

Chinatown Wars is not a poor man's GTA by any means; on the contrary, it's a lesson about how to use the DS hardware in the best way possible, and sometimes it even shows how the series can evolve with the future home consoles episodes.

A little gem and a must have title both on PSN and Xbox Live. Highly recommended.

Dwarf Fortress is a very difficult, edgy game, but it is also an essential experience, a true celebration of the hidden potential of the videogame medium, which you will not find in any other game.

Divinity: Original Sin II is the best sequel can you imagine. It offers a lot more than the previous chapter, in every sense. It probably is one of the best CRPG ever made.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps delivers a stunning metroidvania experience even on Nintendo Switch, thanks to a terrific gameplay and some gorgeous graphics with lower visual richness but outstanding performances.

Carcassonne is an amazing classic board game and this version for iPhone is his successfully translation. A solid online multiplayer, gameplay very close to the original game and a single player mode make it a valuable purchase.

Super Mario 3D World is another fantastic example of what it means to be a Nintendo game. If you have a Wii U, you can't miss this one.

After twelve years StarCraft still dominates the RTS genre, giving players a campaign full of contents and perfectly paced in addition to a virtually endless, involving multiplayer that will entertain till the release of the second chapter.

The PC version of God of War is simply the best way to play this marvelous action made in Santa Monica Studios. We'd like to have a bunch of additional graphic options but the full support of DLSS and FSRR are more than enough to justify a new run with this game also if you played it on PS4/PS5.

Minecraft is a masterpiece, a seminal title which will be played and studied for years.

Traps n’ Gemstones is a fun and compelling metroidvania kind of game, suited for both newcomers and veterans of the genre.

Persona 4: Golden is just a bigger, better and deeper version of one of the best jRPG of all times and a true killer application for PlayStation Vita.

Persona 5 is not just a deep and competent role playing game but also one of the better written RPGs ever. Everything just clicks and resonates with players on different levels, depending on their private life and social experiences. Persona 5 is almost educational and, by the end, it makes you look at your life - and videogames alike - in a new, different way.

Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC remains the same masterpiece we played on console but with a lot of technical problems.

The Blizzard free to play works extremely well on the iPad. It has several, small imperfections int he interface but it’s a must download.

Cut the Rope is another App Store hit from Chillingo, and it could be considered as a killer App for iOS devices. A must buy.

This is a good porting with a lot of work put on the touch controls.

An outstanding final chapter for a magnificent saga, Bioware simply surpasses itself with a killer ending and great gameplay. We already miss Captain Shepard and Normandy crew.

What Capcom has done with this remake is marvelous: this new Resident Evil 4 is cleaned from all the flaws connected to the old age of the original game with the addition of a bunch of hours of new content keeping the quality at its maximum. You have to play this remake also if you're not a fan of the series.

There are only small flaws for a title that is otherwise incredible, a turning point for videogames in many respects. It's truly an adventure from start to finish, and something that every gamer should experience.

It's an amazing fighting game, an amazing party game, and the only title to be both of them. Even the single player Adventure is long, creative and difficult.

As expected, a racing masterpiece, that improves its predecessor in almost every possible way, and whose few problems are absolutely negligible. There's still room for improvement here and there, sure, and yet we are still impressed by such a level of quality. Bravo, Playground Games.

God of War III is a pure extraordinary action game, where the developers have achieved a perfect mix between story, gameplay and visual aspect. Its without a doubt the best possible ending for this acclaimed trilogy, and a must buy for every PlayStation 3 owner.

The World Ends with You: Solo Remix is a more than welcome release on the App Store, taking one of the best recent Jrpg to the iOS platform. Even if the original still plays better, the adaptation to the touch screen could be considered a success. Shame on Square Enix for the absurd price, the separate iPhone and iPad versions and the lacking of support for the new iPad Retina Display.

Uncharted 3 is the very best in the series yet, a true jewel that keeps the player excited from start to finish. A visual masterpiece with a great direction and very compelling multiplayer experience. Definitely a must buy.

After over twenty years since the last time it feels like playing a classic episode of Final Fantasy loaded with all the magic of the '90s, that ancient spell that enchanted millions of fans and seemed to have long faded. In the immense and excellently characterized gaming world, a party of state-of-the-art characters moves, ready to fight through a tactical combat system that approaches perfection, but above all to confront a landslide of extra content, including dozens of challenges, missions, and minigames with a unique flavor in which to lose oneself for over a hundred hours of top-notch quality. However, this makes it even more difficult to digest what happens on the staging front: a higher degree of fidelity to the original material would undoubtedly have crowned one of the best remakes ever made, perhaps one of the greatest titles ever produced by the studio.

Offering a fresh and interesting variation on the tower defense mechanics, Anomaly: Warzone Earth is a compelling and challenging game, indeed one of the best strategies out there on App Store.

Celeste is a great 2D platform, mountain and charismatic, with good controls and a truly excellent level design. The storytelling isn't as much brilliant: the story deals with strong topics, often with naivety. Anyway, the last chapter is wonderful, and the overall adventure lovely.

Rogue Wizards is a very nice RPG with plenty of missions, cute graphics and some very bland freemium mechanics.

If you're looking for an arcade racing game with an enormous amount of races, an awesome multiplayer, a lot of things to find and collect, and amazing graphics, you have finally found it!

The new incarnation of the historic Capcom series is exceptional in practically every aspect, a sort of extraordinary "mea culpa" for the problems of its predecessor at launch. The combat system is deep and layered - as well as offering a truly competitive option even for beginners - the tutorials are so complete that they represent a small encyclopedia of the genre, the single player modes will occupy hours of your time without effort, and the online competitive experience seemed more solid than ever. Negligible defects in the World Tour and a balance still to be defined are nothing at all, if faced with a title of this frightening quality.

Blue Prince is a handcrafted contraption meticulously crafted with the kind of attention to detail that is typical of obsession, an excellent puzzle-roguelite that falls just a pinch short of the magical dust that made the giants of the genre what they are.
