Thymesia falls into that bracket of indie souls-like games that fail to fully convince. It knows how to entertain and, fortunately, the combat system has its own distinct identity, more original than many other experiments released in recent years. At the same time it is a game with few areas, few enemy types, and a difficulty level that should be slightly refined. The visual presentation is also far from refined. Fans of the genre might give it a chance, without too much of a rush.

South of the Circle is as good a game today as it was years ago. The PC version improves the graphics slightly and is perfectly playable even without the use of the touch screen or "the mobile approach." It can be played in small bites or as a movie to be completed in one or two evenings. If you do not have access to Apple Arcade and have yet to try State of Play's narrative adventure, you now have no excuse. There is a line, an imaginary line that crosses the process of creation. The aim of the creator is to stop right on that boundary. Stopping too soon would mean a lack of faith in the project; too late, an excess of confidence. Eyes in the Dark was so close to stopping on that line, but it has indeed overshot it, even if not that much. This doesn't mean that the work of the Under The Stairs team isn't worth a dime.
