It’s not such a bad game. Simple, quick, and easy with its challenging features, trying to hit each beat on time. Though with full honesty, I’m not a big fan of music genres when it comes to gaming, but this wasn’t too bad. It’s all about perfect timing, with each little activity and it gets a little challenging, but can be a bit boring for me. However if music games are things you love that is fine too, don’t let me push you away from this game.

I expected What Lies in the Multiverse to be challenging. However, what I experienced was well-thought-out and user-friendly. It has some simple mechanics that evolve thanks to the multidimensional gameplay. Its cheeky story, loveable characters and silly ways will make you smile. Subsequently, you’ll experience an interesting title that is great fun to play. I adored it.

Monster Crown is an old-school RPG that demands you tame an array of beasts. Can you pick your team, win every fight, and fulfil your potential? Talking of potential, sadly this never gets off the ground.

Rugby 22’s solid gameplay struggles to carry an otherwise mediocre offering and the result is a game that feels like a missed opportunity. Whilst the initial engagement of the deep, well realised incarnation of the sport of Rugby had me excited, the game’s lack of polish in other areas severely hampers the overall experience.

Breakout: Recharged wonderfully blends classic gameplay with a modern edge. Complete the challenges, play the arcade mode, or tackle the classic option. It's brilliantly authentic but lacks the challenge of other games in the series.

My favourite bit though? Just how fun the game looks. With its bright colours and cartoon style graphics (that still remind me of a Matt Groening creation) Ancient Islands is a joy to play and zoom in to see the fun details. It also has some wonderful mechanics that work really well. It might frustrate you at times, but it will be a visually fun game and I recommend checking it out.

Explosive Candy World is a colourful and retro platform puzzler. It's deceptively simple and will make you scream during the latter stages. Nice drip fed mechanics keep things fresh though a lack of NG+ or a leaderboard stifle it.

Filmechanism is a wonderful game to play and challenges the mind. It’s full of complex and simpler puzzles to figure out. It all depends on the player and how well they are in strategically planning out paths to get from beginning to end, safely. This is one of those games that will keep the player engaged mentally while being joyful being this cute little guy named REC, safely moving around the puzzling level to the goal.

Life is Strange: Remastered Collection allows fans of the franchise to come home to Arcadia Bay and experience the stories of Max and Chloe all over again with a beautiful update to the visuals. It’s wonderfully nostalgic to hear the chilled out indie music playing over long, sprawling cutscenes. It’s just as easy to be drawn into the complex plot themes of love, betrayal, loneliness and revenge… all against the darker backdrop of murder, drugs and kidnap. This is the perfect time for those who never quite got around to it the first time to jump in. It is such a wonderful experience with all the visual updates that come with the Life is Strange: Remastered Collection.

Blackberry Honey is a delightful visual novel title about a blooming romance. Society frowns upon their love, but Lorina and Taohua cannot fight their desires. It is beautifully written and is captivating from the first line.

It’s something that really captured my attention, on a daily basis. It has such an appealing allure and such a great story to playthrough. I honestly loved the art, the combat, and the huge bosses, literally huge! It’s just one of those games that really will leave a lasting impression and provide nothing but joy.

Unsurprisingly, I was disappointed with Mages and Treasures. It failed to live up to Milo’s Quest and left me disappointed throughout.

Mekabolt+ is a causal title that will scratch that itch with ease. Subsequently, it’s a straightforward game that represents a bygone era. I know it won’t be for everyone, but I loved it.

Monark might still become Lancarse’s low-budget JRPG golden goose in the long run, as there is plenty to work with here in terms of potential storylines and created assets, but as it stands – and based on its glaring issues – there’s very little reason to expect this quasi-dark school-based romp to achieve anything outside of its niche audience, even if I did find it to be oddly charming…..by the end.

This game is not terrible, however, it is not fantastic. This genre has to have a strong story to be remembered due to the lack of action, thrills, and spills. Martha is Dead just lacks that spark to make it great. The ending of the game is fairly predictable, and it was not the most enjoyable journey to get there. Unfortunately, it falls short of its peers but is still worthy of your time.

Space Robinson is a fast-paced thrill ride all the way through. It doesn’t easily get old, but can get frustrating if one lacks patience and an acceptance of failure. It’s difficult, but a lot of fun, with a killer soundtrack to go along with it.

Thanks to a solid turn-based combat system and an extremely convincing set of characters and an enthralling story, Expeditions: Rome manages to be a great RPG but a not so great strategy game.

Elden Ring proves that evolution is a beautiful thing. It retains the brilliance and difficulty of its peers while moving the genre towards a new era. Purists may despise the new direction but I think it retains the best mechanics while offering so much more.

It will not disappoint, and won’t ever end so quickly! Especially because there are so many levels, items to collect, scores to earn, and there are so many fun and exciting characters to choose from. Plus, such great graphics, plenty of action, and enticing music that plays in the background make this game so entertaining.

35MM is an eclectic blend of genres that'll keep you guessing throughout. It's a cold and eerie title that highlights isolation, friendship, and the desire to survive no matter the costs. It begins slowly but soon evolves to be a thrilling and captivating experience.

Beat Souls is a wonderful rhythm title that'll remind you of PaRappa the Rapper and Bust a Groove. It's bright, vivid, and challenging. Easy to pick up but deceptively difficult to master. You'll lose hours of your life to it as it's guaranteed to get under your skin.

Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires is a fantastic hack n slash tactical game. You must spin many plates as you try to conquer each kingdom. Balance your people, food, captains, and battles as you progress across the empire. It's tough, addictive, and brutal as hell.

This long-running franchise has seen some excellent additions over the years. Therefore, it may be foolhardy to say that this is one of the best. Other than its obvious shortcomings, this is a brilliant game that enhances the fighting genre. I adored the mixture of classic gameplay with new user-friendly elements. If the developers had enhanced the story mode, then this would have been exceptional.

Many titles try but fail to incorporate the brilliance of old-school gaming. Infernax, on the other hand, is a modern classic! Thanks to its moreish gameplay, gory action, and pixel art style, you’ll be hooked from the off. You’ll love the moral dilemmas and the never-ending array of undead foes.

Sifu is a brutal, and desperate fight from the first brawl to the final duel. But something perhaps more important than all of that. Sifu is bloody good fun. It’s difficult, but extremely rewarding and satisfying. I struggle to find much I don’t like. It’s only detriment, if you could even call it that, is that some people may be scared away by the challenge it presents.
