ZHP: Unlosing Ranger vs. Darkdeath Evilman is one of the more enjoyable parody games I have played in recent years. The story is full of genuine comedic moments that left me smiling and laughing throughout my playthrough. While the port does suffer from some graphical issues and cut content, there is enough depth and replayability to keep even the most veteran of players engaged. In short, what Conkers Bad Fur Day was for pop culture, ZHP is for JRPGs and anime.

Serious Sam: Tormental is a great take of the rogue-like twin-stick-shooter genre. The theme of Serious Sam fits perfectly with this gameplay type. The dialogue is funny and the game is very addictive to play. If you played rogue-likes like Enter The Gungeon before, I believe you will love Serious Sam: Tormental.

Platforming games can be hit or miss, especially since so many of them have been made. To make a good one, you need style, character, and a world ripe for exploring. Demon Turf Neon Splash nails it, delivering a fun, challenging, and rewarding game, all for an insanely low price!

I think, at the end of the day this title’s biggest problem is that there’s just not enough of it. However, if future content is up to the same standard as what we’ve got right now, I think Oaken will end up in a very good place. [Early Access Provisional Score = 75]

Just like how my writing isn’t made for everyone, The Captain is Dead isn’t made for everyone. I wasn’t made for The Captain is Dead. No matter how good it is, I’ll never have anything of significance to say about its game design or its quality.

Immortal Life shows a lot of promise. It’s varying gameplay mechanics left me clambering for more, and the addictive management systems were very immersing. Though the graphics and narrative pacing are a cause of concern for me, these could be remedied in subsequent updates. If you are a fan of casual games, then this may be something worth picking up. However, I’d strongly recommend you wait until its official release date to get a full understanding of the games potential.

The biggest problem comes from the grind. The prices for these unlocks are too expensive once you pass the early game. After a while It takes multiple runs to unlock a single stat upgrade for a single weapon. This expensiveness problem becomes even more unbearable when unlocking new abilities. Evil Dead: The Game is a homage to 80s horror and Sam Raimi. It captures the franchise perfectly and you'll grimace and chuckle as the action unfolds. It is excellent as a multiplayer experience. However, solo gamers will find it unfairly harsh and this will frustrate you.

It practically provides a one-of-a-kind puzzling adventure with plenty of mysterious discoveries and a surprising ending. It really can be quite thrilling to play and to be honest, it was even better than I thought it would be. I couldn’t pull my attention away!

Athanasy is dark, creepy, and sinister. Its dystopian world is unfair, cruel, and depressing. However, you won't be able to put it down. With incredible graphics, interesting characters, and atmospheric audio, this is a great sci-fi read.

Ultimately these games come from an era that will always be overlooked before the likes of Nintendo and Sega came along and catapulted gaming along the path where it has got to today, and that is commendable. It is a backhanded compliment to the era that these games are so out of date.

Over the years we’ve seen some excellent and some poor shmup games. Luckily, Remote Life is addictive, difficult, and frankly, superb! Its gameplay is easy to understand, the story is deep and captivating, and the artistry is phenomenal. The solo developer has done a fantastic job of capturing the best elements of the genre within his original game. Consequently, I loved it and I recommend you to buy it here! Can you eradicate the aliens that threaten mankind? Take on each unique mission, destroy the aliens, and return a hero.

There is no one puzzle repeated, each is with its own challenges and difficulties. So there is no way to expect the game is going to be easy, even if a few levels are a breeze. That is what makes this game exciting and great, it takes a little more planning and sometimes a few mistakes to survive. I honestly just love puzzle games and this one really keeps me motivated, engaged, and amused to keep playing.

Though it wasn’t perfect, there is no denying that I loved Moo Lander. Its blend of exploration, combat and RPG elements was fantastic. Sadly, the controls weren’t as accurate as I’d have liked, but this is a minor thing. If you love multiplayer games, you’ll adore what is on offer. Alongside this, the story mode is excellent thanks to its amusing plot, badass cows, and eclectic blend of aliens. Unsurprisingly, I recommend you to buy it here! Will you save your species, or will every cow escape? Upgrade your ship, kill the aliens, and beam up every bovine you encounter.

Farm Manager 2022 is a resource intensive game that requires a lot of your time for you to get enjoyment out of it. If you are willing to see past the under par graphics then you will find Farm Manager 2022 is full of engaging moments as your farm becomes bigger and better. If you have an interest in farming or management simulations then you’ll definitely find plenty to keep you busy in Farm Manager 2022.

The package of Rolling Gunner + Over Power provides countless hours of entertainment through its immensely replayable and masterfully balanced gameplay, making it not just a must-play for fans of the shmup genre but also an excellent starting point for those who are looking to test the waters in the bullet hell genre for the first time, but have been wary of the challenge.

I felt NIS Classics Volume 2 to be an excellent game with two to choose from and full of new content to explore and discover. If this is the first time playing the game, it may all be new. Nevertheless, I found them to be a wonderful pair to have in one game. Especially how they are slightly similar in the style of gameplay as well as their large amount of levels to play through. Both also being perfect RPG games that bring plenty of entertaining battle scenes and maps to investigate. Of course, there are a few issues, but other than that, it’s not a bad game collection.

As a whole, Citizen Sleeper is a fantastic RPG management game that involves a heavy dystopian tone of a derelict future. If this sounds like something you love, and if you’re a fan of games like In Other Waters and Disco Elysium then this may be for you. I’d recommend it to anyone searching for the next space-based adventure, especially since it only takes about five hours to fight your way through.

Ravenous Devils is a gruesome and relentless horror cooking simulation title. You'll love the simple graphics, eerie sounds, creepy plot, and excellent controls. Furthermore, the action is maddening but moreish. Sadly, it is held back by a short story, a lack of replay value, and poor sound bites. However, don't let these issues put you off.

Sadly, Line war does not offer players much to talk about unless they are already interested in the genre. For those like myself, the lack of a single player mode with A.I controlled units is a major miss. Pair this with a lack of a tutorial outside of videos and you have a combination that may mix well with some while it misses the mark for others. Studio Centurion has stated that there will be more modes to be released throughout the course of the year so for those who are interested in trying something new, there is a lot to look forward to.

Time Keeper has a lot of charm that shines through its more dull aspects such as the story and visuals. Its gameplay is engaging, and the reward of completing puzzles stands on the merit of their quality. It was a surprisingly fun time that I can recommend to individuals who might enjoy some cause and effect problem-solving.

As I played this game, I wondered who this game would resonate with. What kind of audience is SNK targeting with the relaunch of this retro wrestling game. Well, naturally, SNK fans will be happy to play, but I believe this game will resonate mostly with gamers who grew up with these kinds of wrestling games. If you’re one of those gamers, I think you’ll be very happy with your $7 purchase, as you’ll get an instant rush of Nostalgia. Maybe you and your buddies grew up playing games like this, and you want to relive old memories, and this would be perfect for that.

Mango Mischief is a satirical JRPG that will fill you with nostalgia. The graphics and audio are fantastic as is the whimsical plot and interesting characters. Unfortunately, this wonderful title is held back by simple combat, over-powered protagonists, and straightforward exploration. With minor tweaks, this will fulfil its potential.

Teardown is easily one of the most creative and fun games I have played in very a long time. It’s a prime example of showcasing what is truly possible through the video game medium, and while the campaigns narrative is easily forgettable, the uniqueness of its gameplay more than make up for it. If you are looking for a game that is just downright entertaining, you could do a lot worse than Teardown.

With a combination of bugs, a poor attempt at copycat gameplay and an incomprehensible story, this souls-lite experience might not be quite what you might expecting. So, while the bugs that had me constantly on edge might be eventually addressed, it still leaves Shattered at odds with itself, unable to piece together something worth writing home about.

While Trigon: Space Story could really have been something special, I feel it got stuck under FTL’s shadow. The gameplay doesn’t flow great, the additions don’t feel that impactful and the overall balance of the game is off. While the graphics and visuals are great, it is not enough to carry the whole game on its shoulders. I can recommend this game if you’ve experienced everything FTL has to offer and still want more like it. Otherwise I’d wait until a sale.
