Inspired by classic RTS titles like Command and Conquer with a nod to famed board game Axis and Allies, Line War combines elements of 4X, wargame, and real-time tactics genres into a unique strategic experience for veterans and newcomers.

Line War's versatile control system allows players to quickly and intuitively issue commands by drawing lines across the battlefield to move units, form defensive lines, engage enemies and conquer territories. Configure your command lines to filter out certain units to flank your enemies, dig-in or feed distant frontlines.

Unless single-player is a deal breaker for you, Line War is worth keeping an eye on, especially with all the features and additions promised by the developers. The extraordinary gameplay system refreshes the RTS experience, with the game’s plain graphics and minimal economy not distracting players from intense PvP action.

Line War introduces awesome and innovative ideas for real-time strategy gaming, though it’s bogged down by technical issues and not quite enough ambition.

Sadly, Line war does not offer players much to talk about unless they are already interested in the genre. For those like myself, the lack of a single player mode with A.I controlled units is a major miss. Pair this with a lack of a tutorial outside of videos and you have a combination that may mix well with some while it misses the mark for others. Studio Centurion has stated that there will be more modes to be released throughout the course of the year so for those who are interested in trying something new, there is a lot to look forward to.

A very cool mixing of several strategies into one, and an interesting solution where we direct the army with the help of lines.
