Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown could be a phenomenal racing title. However, there are too many flaws and this holds it back. It was a shame as I wanted to love it. Despite the shortcomings, the open world is great and there was enough to keep me interested.

A slower, more calculated era of Frostpunk. Frostpunk 2 preserves the storyteller aspect, though the lean into more classical city building may put off those looking for drama. Personally, I enjoyed the glimpse into what happens when people conquer extinction.

Operation: Polygon Storm is a game that grew on me. The action is challenging and the auto-battler elements will test you. Consequently, you will need to invest some time to get the best out of it, but it is worth the effort.

Space Marine 2 is a triumphant return to this beloved chapter of the 40K franchise. Superb combat and weighty game and gun play help raise the stakes for a enjoyable if not ground-breaking story that sometimes takes itself a little bit too seriously. Great customization options and great PvE and PvP modes further this strong package that is just a blast to play. This game is not revolutionary in what it is trying to achieve and it doesn’t care. It wants you to have a good time and boy did I! Superb visuals and strong sound design and music also help you truly feel like an Ultramarine.

Just Crow Things is a juvenile and amusing adventure title. Can you explore each bizarre location and upset every Hooman? The action is silly, addictive, and downright stupid. However, I loved every immature moment. The only negative is the repetitive gameplay.

Ultimately, Dead Rising: Deluxe Remaster strikes a delicate balance between maintaining the spirit of the original and introducing modern updates that make it more playable today. Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to the series, this remaster offers a thrilling and chaotic zombie-slaying experience that proves why Dead Rising remains a standout in Capcom’s catalogue.

The Star Named EOS is a touching and interesting adventure title. Moreover, it has some challenging but fair puzzles that will test your methodical mindset. However, it is too short and this was disappointing.

Perennial Order is a tough souls-like that has an incredible lore-riddled plot. This boss rush experience will push your buttons. Moreover, the creepy environment and hulking beasts are captivating. Accordingly, this is a dark game that begs to be played.

Golden Lap is a refined sports simulation experience that is full of tension and drama. I loved the addictive gameplay, but I cursed the developers for their cruel approach. Anything can happen as the season unfolds. Consequently, you will be kept on your toes throughout.

As it stands, it earns a 6 out of 10 for its unique setting and ambitious design but falls short due to the control and technical shortcomings that hold it back from being really a good game.

Baimason's Thing Finder Puzzle is a short but enjoyable hidden object game. The developer is clearly passionate about this project and this shines through. I loved the relaxing gameplay but I wish there was an option to increase the difficulty.

Black Myth: Wukong is a visually stunning and mechanically sound RPG that offers a fresh spin on a beloved myth. Its engaging combat, especially the epic boss battles, and impressive art direction make it a must-play for fans of action RPGs. However, the game’s linear exploration, underwhelming gear system, and occasional technical issues hold it back from being a true masterpiece. For those looking for a challenging action RPG with deep roots in Chinese mythology, Black Myth: Wukong delivers an unforgettable experience, even if it stumbles in a few areas.

Marko: Beyond Brave has a lot of potential, with its delve into Slavic mythology coupled with a lovely art style. Unfortunately, it has substantial issues with all of the main elements of a Metroidvania, giving it an unfinished feel.

Tiny Battles should have been a fun auto battler. However, it is full of issues and will leave you disappointed. The reliance on luck and little judgement is a bitter pill to swallow. Accordingly, you will tire of the action long before you should.

In summary, while “Hive Jump 2: Survivors” doesn’t reinvent the genre, it offers a solid, enjoyable experience for fans of bullet-hell roguelites. Its jetpack mechanic adds a unique touch to the action, and the upgrade system provides enough depth to keep players coming back for more. However, the limited weapon and map variety, along with some restrictive mechanics, hold it back from being truly exceptional.

Ship Graveyard Simulator 2 is a fun but oddly addictive simulation experience. Though the action is repetitive and rudimentary, I couldn't put it down! I loved the methodical approach and the never-ending ships. However, the poor graphics, OTT sound effects, and limited storyline hold this back.

Funko Fusion is a whacky and amusing 3D adventure title. Like LEGO, this game demands that you explore small arenas while controlling your favourite protagonist. However, unlike LEGO, it lacks polish. Accordingly, some glitches and bugs hold it back. Once these issues are ironed out, this will be a great, albeit repetitive experience.

While there are several hiccups, it is hard to imagine a 3D platformer not having them anyhow. Also, there are two potential endings you can receive. One is a miraculous finale against fate, and the other has the crew succumbing to a bitter end. So, be wise players. Guayota is a monstrous entity to behold.

Train Sim World 5 is a fantastic simulation experience. The incredible tutorial will get you up and running in no time. Alternatively, if you are familiar with the franchise, you can pick up where you left off. The inclusion of major new features improves the already reliable and strong foundations. If you want to drive a train or sell tickets, then this is the game for you.

The Casting Of Frank Stone is an evolution of the formula Supermassive Games have been cultivating for years. A strong diverse cast with wonderful voice acting helps propel the intense and chilling moments on display in this horror tale. Great quality of life improvements and innovations create strong benchmarks for interactive games. Whilst a rushed and muddled final act and the lack of co-op hurt the games overall appeal, there’s more than enough for horror fans to enjoy. Dead By Daylight fans will have an absolute blast with this game, as I did. See you in the fog!

Raging Loop is a visual novel game that brings you into a village in the middle of a game of Werewolf. However, there are actual wolves and people die. The unfortunate part about this game is that it took a while before I felt like I was having fun. Watching NPCs play a game of werewolf isn’t the most fun start to the game, but once you can impact how the werewolf games play out, I felt myself become a lot more invested. The characters are interesting, and the different branching paths encourage you to go back and play through the game over and over again. Visual novel fans looking for a fun story with multiple endings and a social deduction game should check out Raging Loop.

Garden Witch Life is a wholesome sim title with a glorious fantasy edge. This slow-paced affair lets you explore at your own pace. Additionally, it demands that you help your neighbours as you progress. Though this wholesome approach may not appeal to everyone, I adored the feel-good factor. The only negatives are the lack of direction and the occasional bugs.

Sumerian Six is a wonderfully weird blend of Nazi Germany and ancient Sumeria. Its characters are unique, if a little underbaked, and its gameplay rewards strategic thinking well. Its skills are a little much - and the AI is not enough - but it's a decent entry in the stealth-strategy genre.
