Potionomics is an interesting hybrid experience that surprised me. Though it can be tough to spin many plates, the result is a rewarding and challenging fantasy game. Moreover, the dialogue is fun and I loved the setting.

Not for me but If you’re in the market for a game that’ll make you feel claustrophobic, nauseous, and perhaps a little bit disgusted, well, congratulations, you’ve found your match.

From the fantastic visuals to the brain-teasing gameplay that tests your musical knowledge, this game is a delightful experience from start to finish. Although the Switch version of the game has some performance issues, the game is still a delight to play there. Even if the game is a little short, the story will keep you hooked from start to finish.

When EAFC26 clicks into gear it really feels like the most authentic, exhilarating title in the long running franchise for quite some time. Brilliant modes and great improvements to gameplay help push this series to new heights. Beautiful visuals and an infectious soundtrack seal this as the best title in years for the franchise. It’s just a real shame that EA have to infect this beloved series with shameful and disgusting microtransactions and a truly pathetic season pass. Nerfing rewards, throttling prices and some inconsistencies with the AI stop this from being an instant classic. EA, you’re slowly getting on the right track again, don’t mess this up.

I, Robot is an arcade shooter with a puzzle edge. The madness is tough to overcome and the mechanics are weird as hell. However, it is addictive, fun, and a good sequel.

Nuclear Blaze is an interesting and fun adventure title. What's more, the platforming elements are entertaining. Unfortunately, it is too short and this holds it back. However, the extra game modes help to enhance longevity and replay value.

After the Fall is a solid VR shooter that delivers a thrilling, albeit repetitive, experience. The game's immersive world and satisfying gunplay make for a compelling experience, while the deep progression system and strong focus on co-op keep players coming back for more. However, fans of deep narratives and groundbreaking visuals might want more due to the game's repetitive nature.

Overall, Triangle Strategy is an entertaining tactical RPG, even if it does go out of its way to prevent its players from playing it. The tactical-based gameplay is intuitive, immersive, and challenging, and breathes a new sense of life into the genre. Narratively, the extensive cutscenes can be exhausting, and their eagerness to constantly reiterate themselves only makes things worse. However, the visual presentation is absolutely gorgeous, utilising a unique juxtaposition with 2D sprites, 3D environments, and HD lighting. Similarly, the soundtrack created by Akira Senju is exceptional, and rivals that of contemporary series such as Dragon Quest. If you enjoy tactical RPGs such as Fire Emblem, then this is probably something you’d be interested in. Just be warned ahead of time that you’ll be spending the majority of your playthrough looking at cutscenes.

EchoBlade is an old-school adventure title that has some weird mechanics. Can you explore this dank dungeon and survive? I doubt it, as you are missing the sense of sight. Consequently, your demise is likely! Use echolocation to discover your surroundings and kill every foe. Sadly, the combat is slow and clumsy and this undermines an otherwise interesting experience.

If there’s a criticism to be made, it’s that Chains of Freedom leaves little room for error. It’s very difficult to pull back from an encounter if the ambush it set up wrong. Or getting caught while sneaking which results in every enemy in the encounter opening fire while your team stands in the open. This is an issue because poor planning almost always results in a restart instead of a difficult fight. Still, for fans of tactical strategy games with survival elements, Chains of Freedom is a compelling and thoughtful experience. It succeeds creating encounters that give players a sense of pride when finishing them with casualties. It also succeeds in making players think about resources and whether they’re worth the reward. It certainly succeeded in keeping me hooked throughout the whole journey.

Aaero2 is a good indie game that does a great job of fulfilling its potential. Though the music choice wasn't my cup of tea, I appreciated its upbeat nature and the futuristic edge. If you dislike relatively straightforward games, this will not be for you.

Asfalia: Panic at the Mansion feels like a soft story that invites players in for relaxed play sessions whether it’s a long train ride or a cosy evening in. There are plenty of massive games with 100’s hours off action and countless side quests. How about a game about fear, comfort, imagination, and kindness, told through a beautifully crafted world full of heart and creativity.
