Infinity Sweeper is a modern take on Minesweeper. I like the rogue-like mechanics, the casual but addictive action, and the quick to understand ideas. However, it doesn't hit the heights of its classic counterpart.

Backrooms Level X is a retro horror experience that is fun but short. Furthermore, it doesn't offer anything more than any of its peers. Accordingly, it ticks a few boxes, but it'll leave you wanting.

Sintopia skillfully connects together two worlds through death and reincarnation, even if each individual world is slightly flawed.

If you’re familiar with indie horrors and have played many before, then this one is probably not for you. The game’s proportions of narrative and horror are heavily skewed towards the narrative with non-scary puzzle solving seated alongside it. I can see the many positives with Narin: The Orange Room and think that overall, it does deserve the positive reviews it currently has on Steam. It certainly is not the worst game I’ve played. On the flip side, it certainly is not the best either. Unfortunately, I think that’s just how things will stay too.

Lil Gator: In the Dark DLC is a fun addition to a much-loved base game. Moreover, it adds story focus and vertical traversal for a new flavour. This was great, even though it makes it a little challenging for younger players.

UFOPHILIA is an interesting and fun alien experience. However, the learning curve and lack of multiplayer action leave a lot to be desired. This holds it back, but it is still enjoyable, regardless.

It does have quite a bit of replayability which is always good for a game, I played through it twice and I absolutely would again just to see more of the scenery the beautiful Lake Garda, and Northern Italy has to offer.

Cleaning Up! is a cosy and enjoyable cleaning experience. It has a strange story and interesting mechanics. Moreover, the stage design is well-considered. Although it is short, I enjoyed every moment.

Restore Your Island is short but sweet. The action is relaxing and there is a sense of reward as you clean up dirt and rescue animals. However, if you want a deep experience, this won't be the game for you.

The Rogue Prince of Persia is a fluid and fun-filled parkour experience. The movement is great and it has that "one more run" edge. However, it isn't as memorable as other titles from the franchise. Furthermore, there are better and bigger games in the genre. It is still worthy of your time, but it won't stay with you forever.

The Coin Game is an interesting concept despite its flaws. With loads of games to play, 5 locations to visit, and plenty of modes to try, there is something for everyone. However, it lacks depth and this holds it back.

Sands of Aura is an interesting and challenging indie title that is dark and sombre. With unique weapon mechanics and plenty of monsters to tackle, there is plenty to keep you busy. However, it has a few minor issues and that causes problems.

Clean Up Earth is a calm and relaxing simulation experience. It uses a fantasy and sci-fi edge to counter a rather serious message. However, it is easy to understand why we should recycle and the global benefits. My favourite part of this game is the real-world investment in climate fighting charities.

Manairons is fine folklore-inspired fantasy experience. The 3D puzzles are enjoyable and the story is captivating. However, the combat is a little lacklustre and that may annoy some people.

Our Adventurer Guild is a retro-inspired dungeon crawling simulation experience that is great to play. With guild management, relationships, and plenty of quests on offer, this affordable indie game ticked many boxes.

To sum up, Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is a real mixed bag. An interesting story, with great combat will entice new players to try this classic game. Sadly, muddled visuals, not enough new content and terrible animations drag the overall package down. Remakes are meant to be a vast improvement on the original and this has failed to deliver. Still there is a great game to be found if you can see past the problems.

Cubic Figures is a simple and futuristic puzzle title. Although many of the core mechanics are familiar, I adore the neon visuals and the ghostly and cold music.

It’s not about mastering racing. It’s about enjoying it, briefly. And while that’s enough for some, others may find themselves wanting just a little more before the finish line.

As a standalone, I’m not sure if I can recommend this one. There are too many hang-ups for me personally. I think LinD2 hits the mark for what I can expect out similar indie horrors. However, I’m struggling to see what this one does that so many others don’t already do, if not better. There are probably better similar indie horrors out there, even as a non-player of indie horror myself. I know it must be difficult to make something that truly stands out. Simply put, LinD2 is decent for what it is, but I don’t think it will leave a lasting impression.

KASSO GAIDEN: Escape from the Skaterverse is a bold experiment that mostly succeeds. Its flaws, which are just technical hiccups and a punishing difficulty, but that’s just a small prices to pay for the sheer joy of its movement system. It’s a game for people who miss the arcade era but want something that feels modern and stylish.

Greedfall: The Dying World is an interesting addition the franchise. With a fascinating story, large open world, and excellent audio, this offers plenty of atmospheric gameplay. However, it is let down by performance issues that need ironing out. Once the problems are resolved, this will be a great game.

It is simple, light-hearted fun that would be great for those interested in board games and dungeons & dragons. I found myself playing into the evening a few times even though I typically do my gaming research during the day. I enjoy diving into an adventure packed with side quests to tackle. The wacky and wonderful characters I meet along the way stand out, and their stories are consistently well written. If you have family or friends that you think would enjoy this, then I can especially recommend it to you.

Undeniably charming, with an interesting and inventive plot, even if the writing is a bit wonky at times. However, it poorly connects its plot and gameplay, leading to horrendous pacing that ends up dragging both sides down.

There is heart. It has the horsepower. It just is not quite the finished champion it wants to be. If you crave neon, speed, and anti-gravity chaos, Millennium Runners will absolutely deliver that rush. Just do not expect it to stay on the podium forever.

When I Hate This Place is at its best, it feels like a great 80’s B movie which is full of over the top mystery and horror. A great story is propelled by a superb environment, ensuring fans of the comic series won’t be disappointed. Sadly, survival horror fans may feel somewhat short-changed, by the uneven and often far too easy resource system, along with a plethora of performance issues. Still there’s great fun to be had, with some fun stealth and a brilliant soundtrack.

You'll find many anomaly horror games whether you're browsing the Steam, PlayStation, or Xbox store, and you'll realize quickly enough that a lot of them are very similar and don't really have anything unique about them. Play The Attic 18th and after the first 10 minutes you'll see just why it's so different from the rest in the sub-genre, unique mechanics, an interesting short story, and a tense experience makes it outshine the rest.

Though I think that overall, the game's positives outweigh the negatives, I had a difficult time really getting into it. I felt that everything was pretty standard for what I might expect in other strategic roguelites and there wasn't anything in particular stood out to me as a player. Still, perhaps one to consider if you are a fan of the genre!
