Doom is back and it's wonderfully brutal. Its surprisingly long and polished campaign couples old school gameplay with modern design, resulting in an adrenalinic and highly entertaining experience supported by a solid multiplayer mode. And the SnapMap editor is just icing on the cake, revealing to be incredibly deep and enabling us to create very different and inventive levels and mechanics. The game to have for any shooters lover.

Battlefield 1 offers an incredibly epic and balanced multiplayer experience, with a great focus both on close quarters ans vehicular fights and with the Operations mode as its crown jewel. Its too short campaign won't satisfy single player lovers, but if you're looking for a good multiplayer FPS this is the game to have.

An excellent final chapter for From Software's series, keeping all the best elements from previous games and forging them in a fresh and new experience. Sporting the best bosses in the series, Dark Souls III confirms itself as one of the most challenging and rewarding games around.

A stunning pixel art game, with a very interesting mix of mechanics ranging from management to tower defense in a roguelike structure. Unluckily it can get quickly boring too, and when it's not it can deliver some unbearable difficulty spikes.

Cyberpunk 2077's ultimate console version reaffirms the splendid storytelling, exceptional city-building and varied gameplay of the original game, while also being more polished, enriched and finally featuring performance and visuals worthy of new consoles. There is no shortage of smears and residual issues, but it still stands as an excellent first-person RPG, set in a fascinating retro-sci-fi world full of things to do and compelling stories to live. Definitely a must-have.

A great rally game and natural evolution of the series keeping its soul in the middle between arcade and simulation approaches. An improved engine delivers some amazing sceneries and very detailed cars, with state-of-the-art physics and light effects. We apreciated the new features like the Gymkhana mode and the YouTube video upload, while the multiplayer modes proved to be very enteratining and varied. A suggested buy for every fan of the series and everyone looking for an awesome and adrenalinic racing game.

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey builds on everything good Origins introduced, but with a bit lower quality stories and adding some new systems that end up being not so impressive. Overall, though, it's still a very solid open world game with lots of content and some very gorgeous visuals. It won't amaze you as Origins did, but it'll still provide tens of hours of quality play.

Ubisoft kicks off the year with a brilliant metroidvania, not only successfully refreshing a historical franchise, but also effectively introducing new elements to the genre, while providing challenging, varied and satisfying fights, and very thoughtful environmental puzzles. Definitely suggested to every lover of the genre.

Definitely the best racing sim on the console as of today: Turn 10 filled it up with lots of contents while putting incredible care in every smallest detail, like the new extremely realistic tire physics and the aquaplaning simulation during rainy races. All of this at rocky-solid 60 fps and with a majestic graphical fidelity. A must buy for ever car lover.

Psychonauts 2 is a unique platform game, capable of taking its place in the hearts of video game lovers. The original gameplay, design and script are the strengths of a game that succeeds in keeping us glued to the screen until the end credits. A title that isn't perfect, but that shows how creativity and passion can overcome the limitations of an adventure that no fan of the genre should miss.

Hitman 3 delivers a very good stealth game which gives complete freedom to the players in expansive and beautiful environments. It unluckily doesn't look as developed in storytelling, and it feels a bit short on content with only 6 environments, though. All in all, a game every stealth lover will surely appreciate.

Well-conceived and beautifully crafted, Pragmata is a remarkable and enjoyable game. It might lack that extra gear needed to enter the pantheon of masterpieces, but if the goal is to offer a solid and thrilling experience, it completely hits the mark.

Titanfall 2 is the perfect evolution for Respawn's saga, with an intense and highly compelling - even if a bit shorter than expected - campaign and a solid, rich and satisfying multiplayer. And it's incredible what kind of gorgeous visuals they could squeeze out of a decade-old engine.

Destiny 2 rights many of the first game's wrongdoings and results in a stronger launch offering, with a finally compelling narrative experience and a more satisfying progression. What it lacks is greater variety in enemies and locations compared to the first game, so we're once again left hoping in future content.

Colin McRae: DiRT 2 established itself as one of the best racing games of the year. Jawdropping visuals and an over-the-top care to detail characterize a game capable to entertain both the motors passionates and those of you who are simply attracted by the spectacle of this kind of race. In a period monopolized by clean and shiny asphalt racers, this is a great mouthful of fresh air.

One of the best platform games of this generation: maybe it lacks Braid's innovation or Outland's challenge level, but it's got a great appeal thanks to an highly inspired artistic audio/visual production and a varied and constantly entertaining gameplay. A little gem that would be a shame to miss.

Halo Infinite is 100% classic Halo, even with innovations like the grappling hook and the open-world structure that, in fact, leverage the very elements that made the series a great video game classic. 343 Industries has nailed game structure, gameplay, gunplay, AI, graphics and music, but stumbled with inexcusable flaws - especially after such a long wait - in variety and replayability. The game will still keep you glued to the controller though, so there's little doubt: Master Chief is back and he's in great shape.

Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is a very entertaining game that, although not without some control flaws, kept us entertained for several hours. If you are a fan of tactical titles and have enjoyed games such as Commandos or Desperados, this game is definitely for you, but fans of the stealth genre will also find plenty to like. All in all, an excellent game that everyone should give a chance to.
