South of Midnight is a fascinating journey into the magic of the Deep South, among beautiful scenery, strange characters and game mechanics that, while not inventing anything, are fun and engaging. The art department, both visual and audio, is phenomenal, while something could have been done to improve combat and the story pace, but it's nonetheless a game that all lovers of the action-adventure genre should try.

The Gunstringer is a very enjoyable game, fresh and fulfilling in every aspect. Definitely one of the best non party/fitness/dance games for Kinect, with great motion recognition and a smart co-op mode. Too bad for its shortness, which detracts from the overall value of the game, but it's however a suggested buy.

A welcome addition to the original Dragon's Dogma story, with tougher and more satisfying challenges and several improvements over the original game.

Assassin's Creed III Remastered brings noticeable improvements in visuals and overall environment quality to AC 3 and Liberation, especially for owners of an Xbox One X and an HDR-capable TV. The overall experience is still dragged down by some of the original games shortcomings, like a repetitive mission structure, but it might be a worthwhile dive in the past for Assassin's Creed fans.

Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide is for Games Workshop's fantasy lovers what Left 4 Dead was for zombie games fans, with a solid multi-class co-op gameplay and a welcome character advancement system.

Broken Sword 5 presents us with an enthralling story supported by good 2D graphics and well-thought-out console controls, at a very good price point. All point-and-click adventures lovers should give it a chance.

A worthy sequel in Bandai Namco's hyper-frenzied Pac-Man series, with a highly competitive gameplay and some important new mechanics. It might have used some more variety, but it's undoubtedly a must buy for all lovers of this genre.

A charismatic game with relaxing and enjoyable gameplay and a very likeable main character. It's however a bit too easy for expert gamers, which could lose gamers' interest in a couple of hours.

As Dusk Falls is an adult, dramatic adventure with unusual artistic choices, yet functional to an ever engaging narrative. Almost similar to an interactive TV series, it will keep you glued to the screen until the end, eager to discover the fate of the many realistically and often starkly delineated characters, but also to explore the many ramifications of the story. The excellent acting, moreover, succeeds in making the most of such a production. Too bad for a few technical issues lightly impacting the enjoyment of the game, but it is definitely a highly recommended experience for lovers of narrative adventures and TV crime dramas.

MotoGP 21 brings obvious improvements to the gameplay and the driving feel, with a realization especially appreciable on the new generation of consoles. Unfortunately, however, it suffers the annualized production, matching the great realism and the excellent driving feeling with several flaws and too strong similarities with the previous episode in the series.

A very entertaining game, with a fresh and immediate gameplay suitable also to people who aren't great soccer sims lovers, even if a little bit encumbered by its managerial side. Perfect for amusing evenings with friends.

An interesting gameplay mechanic differentiates Embers of Mirrim from the usual side-scrolling platformer crop, asking us to control two spirits with one thumbstick each. Sometimes it may become overly confusing, but it's a fascinating mechanic to try.

Crysis 3 feels like a missed opportunity: it's got awesome visuals and it's great fun to play, but a bad enemy AI, short campaign and a low challenge level keep it from really shining.

An ambitious and fascinating game, The Banner Saga sports memorable characters and great visuals but turned out to be too unbalanced towards the dialogues and management components, to the detriment of the turn-based battles.

Don’t be fooled by the overly bizarre characters: with its surprisingly deep and compelling story and tight controls both via standard controller and Kinect, D4 will leave you begging for more episodes. A great new adventure game, definitely worth buying.

Definitely one of this summer's surprises. Transformers: War for Cybertron is a very enjoyable shooter, with good graphics and a very nice artistic approach, using the classic Transformes look rather than the new movies one. Telling an untold story on the Transformers homeworld, it's a great game for every fan of the Hasbro license.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 doesn't revolutionize the series' formula but introduces many small improvements while avoiding the "cut and paste" effect. If you love mousou games and One Piece, this will be a satisfying experience.

Raven Software and Treyarch bring us a complete and satisfying CoD package, with a spectacular - even if fragmented - Campaign and many multiplayer modes. The new Zombi mode feels finally fleshed out and more integrated to the rest of the game and competitive multiplayer is more balanced even if missing some of last year's features, but the classical modes' maps are too few and sometimes limited. All in all, a solid CoD episode capable of keeping us engaged until the next one.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1-2 Remastered allows us to get our hands on two gems from the past, embellished with numerous technical and content enhancements that are cleverly amalgamated and in no way distort the original work. The most demanding gamers will have to turn a blind eye to some of the mechanics stemming from the years when the two games were conceived, but they remain two video game milestones to be tried without hesitation.

More a direct port than a proper remaster, Dishonored: Definitive Edition adds very little to the original experience both in terms of contents and visual quality; it's therefore only recommended to those who never played the original game.

A game with a very strong personality and two great main characters, reminiscent of some Rodriguez movies. It sports a solid and varied gameplay, but it could have been much better if it was tweaked to deliver more tension and fear to the player; moreover, eight hours for a playthrough without any incentives to replayability aren't enough. Notwithstanding, it remains a very good game for action-horror lovers.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind is an interesting expansion to the TESO world, delivering a huge nostalgia factor and fully playable both solo and with a party, by newbie or experienced players. Its 20 hours story is a bit too short though, and technically it's starting to feel a bit too outdated.

Deliver Us The Moon is a fascinating and scientifically plausible sci-fi adventure, with a realistic space setting and quite varied gameplay where exploration and puzzles are alternated to many other mechanics. It's definitely a game to try for lovers of Gravity and Interstellar-like stories.

Nostalgia is strong in this collection, and some of the games like DuckTales and Darkwing Duck aged pretty well resulting in an entertaining experience yet today. But others aren't as well, and why not putting in the remastered edition for DuckTales?

Peaky Blinders: Mastermind surprised us with a very satisfying and well thought-out "time rewind/record" mechanism that makes us feel like a real gang mastermind like Tommy Shelby was, perfectly orchestrating and timing all our companions actions. Some controls might have been better refined, but it's definitely a game to try, even for people who never watched the TV series.

A very good action game, with a great combat system an a brilliant set of characters. Unluckily this remaster edition doesn't add enough content to be really compelling to the ones who already played it in the past, so it's mainly recommended to those who skipped it originally.
