A simple and minimalist - yet highly challenging - puzzle game at a great price, Cubot is the perfect pastime for logic challenge lovers.

Gears of War: Reloaded doesn’t reinvent the game for those familiar with the original one or the 2015 remaster, nor does it address all previous shortcomings in campaign or multiplayer. Still, it offers a substantial set of graphical improvements, making it enjoyable on modern platforms and competitive with newer releases, while delivering the most polished and content-rich version of Gears of War to date.

Crysis 3 feels like a missed opportunity: it's got awesome visuals and it's great fun to play, but a bad enemy AI, short campaign and a low challenge level keep it from really shining.

An original and stylish 2D run-and-gun shooter with great graphics and artistic design, and lots of crazy weapons. Highly fun both alone or in co-op, definitely recommended.

A highly ambitious and complex game, capable of rewarding the gamer with lots of satisfaction if he'll take enough time - and we're talking about dozens of hours here - to learn and master all its mechanics. Space exploration has never been more real.

Superliminal offers us an original and mind-bending first-person puzzle experience, a bit too short but always surprising and with a very satisfying ending.

Code Vein gets many of the souls-like genre tropes mixing them with a more accessible and forgiving gameplay, a charming manga-like artistic design and great depth in character customization, resulting in a very enjoyable action-RPG despite some technical and difficulty balancement flaws.

Infinity Ward goofs up on the campaign with a dull story and a totally forgettable villain, but they recover on the multiplayer side with some very nice maps, great bots AI, the usual frenzied gameplay and the highly addicting Extinction mode. Overall, though, CoD Ghosts lacks the magnificence and innovation we would have expected from IW's new work after the Modern Warfare trilogy.

Minecraft Dungeons successfully translates Mojang's franchise to the dungeon crawler action-RPG genre, making it much more accessible than the other games in the genre even if at the cost of some depth and variety. All in all an highly enjoyable game, hoping it'll be supported with a steady flow of new content for a long time.

HAWX has been a real surprise: it manages to differ from the usual dogfighting games thanks to some original ideas, adding variety to a long-time stale genre. Flight-sim purists could dislike it, but if you'll approach it without prejudices it'll be able to entertain you during all of its 20 missions, playable alone or in co-op, or allowing you to fight intense and lag-free 4 vs 4 online dogfights.

Dead or Alive 5 stays true to its origins, with its signature combat system satisfying both for casual and hardcore gamers. A good fighter, even if it could have dared a little bit more on the improvements side.

A solid and entertaining co-op experience, getting more complex with the increase in the number of players connected. We loved its focus on puzzles, something the main Tomb Raider series lacked lately.

A.O.T. Wings of Titan is a convincing Attack on Titan tie-in, with satisfying gameplay mechanics and good story. Its main flaw is its strong objectives repetitiveness, but it won't disappoint AoT fans.

A frantic and ultraviolent ode to classic '90s FPSes, but with a 2D metroidvania structure. Challenging and gory, its only fault resides in an overly lo-fi graphic approach, with sometimes too indistinct elements.

Resonance of Fate's strength resides in its deep and satisfying combat system. Notwithstanding, this isn't a game for everyone and is very different from other jrpgs on the market. Get it only if you aren't afraid of a particularly high complexity and you aren't specifically looking for a visually spectacular game.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn offers us a solid and satisfying experience, aimed primarily at anyone who wants to approach the souls genre for the first time. The pleasant combat system, rewarding exploration, and a longevity of between 20 and 30 hours confirm the prowess of the A44 team; it's not a perfect game, but it exudes heart and passion, something not always a given.

Despite some technical and usability flaws, STEEP manages to deliver a satisfying extreme winter sports experience, with a well balanced gameplay between arcade and simulation and a ton of things to do in a huge and surprisingly varied environment. A welcome return for a long gone genre.

Raven Software and Treyarch bring us a complete and satisfying CoD package, with a spectacular - even if fragmented - Campaign and many multiplayer modes. The new Zombi mode feels finally fleshed out and more integrated to the rest of the game and competitive multiplayer is more balanced even if missing some of last year's features, but the classical modes' maps are too few and sometimes limited. All in all, a solid CoD episode capable of keeping us engaged until the next one.

A good 1080p collection with one of the best FPSes from last gen and a decent spin-off, with the welcome addition of a local split-screen co-op mode. Other than that, there aren't other noteworthy additions so it's a recommended buy just for the ones who skipped at least one of the two games on last gen consoles.

A fascinating platformer, with great 16-bit environments and lovable characters. Its fighting system could have been better refined with a more even difficulty and tighter controls, but it's definitely one to play.

Celeste surprised us with its tight and challenging but very rewarding gameplay, coupled with a deep story and great level design. Sometimes you can feel lost in the game's vast areas and it could have used a more diversified gameplay, but it's definitely a game to have for lovers of 2D platform games.

Red Faction: Guerrilla revealed to be a pleasant surprise: a very good game capable of dragging and enjoying the player, mainly but not only thanks to the exceptional dynamic destruction tech, and for the adrenalinic multiplayer. Too bad that a forgettable plot and a low longevity kill its aspirations: surely a good game, but could have been much more.

A huge open world and an addictive co-op gameplay with great player freedom are amongst the highlights in Ubisoft's new game, but the single-player experience feels under-developed and unsatisfying. Mainly recommended to gamers willing to play online with friends.

Singularity is revealed to be a very involving game, with some interesting ideas and capable of smoothly bringing us all the way to the end without ever being boring. The only letdown is its bare online multiplayer: we'd have preferred for Raven to focus on extending the single player experience, rather than delivering a too basic multiplayer.
