It sports, however, a good story, even if quite short, and insipred visuals: it deservers to be played.

Great tracks and high adrenaline levels distinguish RedLynx' new foray in the Trials franchise; the new FMX tricks didn't turn out to be a valuable addition to the series, but the core gameplay stays as addictive as ever.

NBA 2K23 has once again hit the jackpot. The very rich offering in terms of modes, a more refined gameplay, an increasingly realistic AI and a top-notch graphical appearance make it an unmissable title, despite some minor imperfections.

Gaijin Entertainment showed hou a very realistic game can be brought on console without the need of mapping the controls on a whole keyboard. The Sim mode is very challenging and entertaining, but the Arcade and Realistic modes allow everyone to enjoy the game without having to master all the aerodynamics laws. Our main complaint is about the missions variety, that start looking a little bit too repetitive at the middle of the game progression.

King Arthur: Knight's Tale is no game to be taken lightly: it requires dedication, concentration, and a desire to understand and exploit the numerous mechanics it offers us. In return, however, it guarantees us the memorable experience of a mythological Middle Ages in which we can spend a huge number of hours, testing our tactical skills and our temper as kings. A title that should not be missing from the library of fans of the genre.

A real interactive episode of the TV series, with the same well-known atmosphere, storytelling and dramatic turns of events. Telltale should work more on its engine and animations though, as the game lacks in details and suffers of clunky animations. Even the gameplay could use a renovation, after several years of the same formula.

A good 1080p collection with one of the best FPSes from last gen and a decent spin-off, with the welcome addition of a local split-screen co-op mode. Other than that, there aren't other noteworthy additions so it's a recommended buy just for the ones who skipped at least one of the two games on last gen consoles.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is the worthy conclusion to Masashi Kishimoto's saga and the best game in the series yet, successfully managing to transpose the anime's spectacular and hectic fights. A game any Naruto lover should buy without hesitations.

NBA 2K21 Next Generation takes full advantage of next-gen hardware, improving graphics and physics but also adding more content and welcome new modes; playing at 4K 60fps with great graphics and truly alive arenas is a real joy. We just wish 2K would pull back a bit on their microtransactions push.

One of the best Xbox One indie games so far, with a great base idea and an addicting gameplay. Too bad its duration is a bit on the short side, but if you like Contra-style shooters, you'll love it.

Diablo II: Resurrected makes us forget the 20 years passed since the release of the original game, delivering the same incredible experience but with graphics capable of leaving us speechless. A pure, challenging and satisfying action-RPG, capable of providing endless satisfaction and countless hours of play.

Probably calling this game Skate 2.5 or Skate Online would have been more fair. Skate 2 show too less innovation on the previous game, except for the strong push towards online support. Nonetheless, just because it builds upon the strong foundations of the previous game, Skate 2 remains a strong and entertaining experience for every skateboarding lover.

With Avowed, Obsidian confirms itself as one of the best RPG studios around, capable of reworking a now-classic formula by rejuvenating it, lightening it up, and combining it with first-rate storytelling, world building, and gameplay mechanics. We are undoubtedly in front of a true gem of the RPG genre, to be played without hesitation.

Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap is another example of how an old-school game remake/remaster should be done. Gorgeous graphics and animations go side by side with an hardcore classical gameplay, improved in several aspects and highly challenging (maybe too much so, sometimes). Definitely an advised buy both for fans of the originals and lovers of platforming action.

Sleeping Dogs combines successful gameplay mechanics and a great story creating a well balanced – even if not innovative – and entertaining mix. A very good game, dragged down only by a somewhat short story and little lack of polish. And a good starting point for a successful series for Square Enix.

A unique, though short, experience, completely different from anything else and with impressive creative and artistic values. If you like puzzle games, especially the more brilliant ones, Gorogoa is an absolute must buy.

Digging through tens and thousands of video recordings you'll unearth an intimate but complex world of love, lies, betrayal and human fragility that will glue you to the screen through the end, leaving you in anguish and willing to dig even deeper.

Life is Strange: Reunion drives us through a nostalgic trip back in time, bringing Max and Chloe together again in a comfortable and familiar adventure. However, its heavy reliance on recycled assets, overly conservative gameplay, and a lack of true narrative courage prevent it from reaching the emotional heights of its predecessors.

A unique game that successfully manages to blend the boundaries between action and RPG, delivering us an immediate and engrossing experience. It will disappoint those of you looking for a real challenge, but if all you're looking for is a great adventure to lose yourself in, look no further.

Skylanders Giants builds on the already good first game adding more polish and a better difficulty balance. It doesn't change the game structure much and gameplay mechanics, but the young gamers won't complain about it. Undoubtedly one of the best games of the season to play with your children.

Darkwood offers a scary and thrilling experience, mainly thanks to a very good sound design and an oppressive top-down world. Where if fails, though, is in a slow and intricate gameplay, making part of the experience not so satisfying. It's, however, still an advised buy for lovers of horror survival experiences.

4A Games managed to deliver a little gem, capable of capturing the gamer with its great story, environments and a really good stealth gameplay. Some glitches, AI problems and a short longevity detract from its overall value, but it's undoubtedly a rewarding experience.

A very solid title, capable of successfully merging the depth and complexity of TES-like RPGs with a more spectacular and satisfying combat system. Nonetheless, it fails to really shine due to a somewhat generic and bland main story, even if the world and its background story are very well crafted.

A solid and humor-filled platformer 2D with lots of memorable moments and a good gameplay variety: definitely one to watch for lovers of the genre.

Even if not resulting in a too original and memorable experience, Children of Morta successfully mixes several genres like the rogue-like and Diablo-like ones, delivery a satisfying gameplay with fascinating pixel art animations.

Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a solid, well-packaged remake that delivers an exciting, entertaining (not just for fans of the Disney universe) and content-rich adventure. More attention to the technical aspect, the introduction of more modern mechanics and the presence of extended voice acting would have allowed it to reach higher heights, but as it is, it remains a highly recommended adventure.

The Plucky Squire presents a truly inspired concept and art direction, managing to be loved at first sight. As the game progresses there is a certain monotony in the gameplay, but both budding and seasoned players will not fail to appreciate the colorful design on the one hand, and the sophistication of certain quirks and situations on the other.

A successful TPS, RPG and online open word mix, with a balanced, spot-on gameplay and lots of details in a visually stunning - and packed full of dramatic stories - Manhattan. The Division offers something for any kind of player, be it a lone wolf, a co-op lover or a competitive gamer, with lots of things to do and great satisfactions due to the deep loot and character evolution system.

An highly entertaining football simulation with plenty of modes, great graphics and a deep gameplay capable to adapt both to rookie players and experts. Undoubtedly one of the best games in the series.

While its relaxed, “chill” gameplay may not satisfy those seeking challenge or intensity, it offers everyone else a visually stunning, heartwarming experience brimming with positivity and surprises - one of the year’s most delightful and memorable adventures.

Forza Motorsport 5 manages to fully capture the essence of a sport where technology and passion merge in one unique blend. Technical excellence, gameplay depth, a good mix of game modes and the ability to freely explore every car with an extremely realistic rendering makes this the game to buy on Xbox One.

Hitman is back and is in great shape. Io Interactive delivered a game suitable to both hardcore fans looking for a challenging experience and new players, thanks to the many options in difficulty and features set; this adds to an highly cinematic experience with a mature story and interesting social features. Probably the best game in the series and one of this gen's best stealth games.

Far Cry 6 immerses us in a large open world with a ton of possibilities and a great cast of characters, but it fails to make a real splash compared to previous installments in the series, while also providing a too-low challenge level to the player.

A very good children's game, thanks to the level of immersion with the stories and interaction with the characters it can provide. If you're looking for a non-violent, involving and even with some educative aspects game for your kids, this might be one of your best bets.

A good mix of simulation and arcade gameplay with a great graphical fidelity, EA Sports MMA manages to reproduce all the fetures of mixed martial arts without scaring away the player wit too complex combos or controls.

A very good and captivating co-op game, founded in making a couple of friends live an intense and very interesting story. In the second half there are some pacing slowdowns and gameplay mechanics which could have been more refined, but if you're looking for a game to enjoy with friends or relatives, this won't disappoint you.

Hotshot Racing follows the lead of classic arcade racers like Out Run and Daytona USA, with a colorful and detailed low-poly look and highly enjoyable gameplay. Lots of modes, including 4 player split-screen and online play, make it a very satisfying experience. A game every racing games lover should try, at least via Xbox Game Pass.

Little Nightmares II improves on the first game's formula in every way: better narrative, more varied puzzles and gameplay, better design overall. It still suffers from the experience only lasting a handful of hours, but it's definitely a worthy one.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is a much-needed remake in the Yakuza series, offering the fans a boatload of new content and streamlining some of the most controversial sections of the original game. With the addition of richer visuals and the excellent Dark Ties expansions, and despite some overly aggressive cuts and mandatory pace-breaking side activities, the final result is definitely a game that the series' fans shouldn't miss.

Yet another step forward for the LEGO games, with new gameplay elements and a great cast of characters that help it to stay on top of TT Games' line-up. Nonetheless, the series starts to look a little bit tired and in need of important changes and improvements.

Uber Entertainment did a good job on creating Monday Night Combat, wisely mixing many of the best elements of online multiplayer shooters and adding a strong co-op component. It's an entertaining and energetic game, and it'll be able to conquer every shooter fan.

Mediterranea Inferno offers us a narrative experience with a low interaction level but with an extremely interesting and meaningful story, enriched by an evocative artistic compartment. It is not for everyone due to both its classic visual novel structure and its themes, but if you have the right sensibility for this type of work, you cannot miss this fascinating contemporary novel.

NBA 2K26 is one of the most complete and successful chapters in the series. The gameplay is finally solid, the roster is huge, and the amount of content on offer is truly remarkable, even if some historical modes could have benefited from further improvements, and monetization still seems rather aggressive. Despite this, it's still one of the best wrestling games around.

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12: The Masters stays on the usual high quality standards the series got us used to, with some very welcome new entries like the caddie and the Augusta Masters. We're just disappointed by a complete lack of support to Kinect the absence of any kind of italian localization.

A pleasant surprise, with a very good and varied gameplay and very good graphics. One of the most entertaining games of these last months.

Big Bad Wolf delivers an intriguing adventure, enriched with complex and totally new RPG dialogue mechanics and brilliant - even if needing more polish - graphics. A very good narrative game that every lover of the genre should try.

Project Warlock enriches and modernizes an old FPS formula, resulting in an highly entertaining and challenging experience. Every fan of classic FPSes should try it.

Witty and self-aware, Revenge of the Savage Planet is a fun, breezy sequel ideal for co-op play. Some bugs remain, but its charm and humor make it well worth checking out.

Dead Rising 2: Case Zero offers us a great taste of what we'll find in Dead Rising 2, even if it ends up being too short.

DeathSpank maintains Gilbert's creative and ironic vein, making a parody of many of the fantasy RPG clichés. The co-op mode, great graphics, very enjoyable gameplay and a very good longevity (for an Arcade game) make DeathSpank a worth buy.

Ubisoft packaged a great game both for single and multiplayer lovers, fully shifting the series to the cover based TPS domain but keeping intact its tactical soul. Only a dull and generic story prevents it from shining more - something we wouldn't expect from a Tom Clany family title.

Ubisoft's bet on a multiplayer-focused medieval brawler has been fully won thanks to a deep and tactical combat system and lots of choices for the player, even if it hit some bumps with a pretty unstable netcode and an underwhelming campaign.

An exciting flight combat sim, mixing an highly balanced and satisfying gameplay to a compelling story and awesome graphics, especially in extreme weather conditions. Some details like ground explosions and buildings could have been better, but they're small flaws in an awesome game.

An entertaining and well-thought-out game, adding interesting new elements to the famous Angry Birds formula.

If taken as a simple FPS, Metal: Hellsinger would be an average one, due to non-stellar graphics, short levels and repetitive boss fights. But add its heavy metal rhythm game gameplay to the mix, and you'll find yourselves captivated by the challenge of flawlessly executing every level, aiming to obtain the highest multiplier possible by hitting enemies following the great head-banging music tracks.

If you never played MvC 3 and love fighting games, this is a recommended buy with a larger roster and more balanced gameplay. But if you already own the previous game, the added content isn't enough to justify the expense. The added fighters aren't charismatic enough and the new Galactus mode just feels like a gimmick. Nothing that couldn't be made with a simple DLC.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty stakes everything on its combat system, a fascinating setting, and excellent game structure. However, the game remains hampered by an underwhelming technical realization and balancing problems. Still, these minor flaws do not prevent it from offering a viable option for all gamers looking for a spectacular action game.

Square Enix made a good job in listening at fans requests and bringing us a better game than FF XIII, even though the combat system is still too similar to the previous one; the involving story, a greater focus on exploration and the many things to do make it an advised buy for every fan.

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 is definitely the best LEGO game to date. More varied, reflexive and visually beautiful than its precursors, it's still inheriting some genetic defects from them, like a slight repetitivity and the absence of online co-op and online user-created maps sharing.

This new adventure nails the overall mood of the series, while introducing an interesting "word fight" mechanic in replacement of the absent time rewind power. It lacks intense and adrenalinic moments like those in the original series, though: we hope to see more of those in the next two chapters.

A very good remaster collection, but troubled by some flaws that make the three games even more frustrating than they were once. It still is an advised buy for lovers of platform games, though.

Riders Republic is a solid sports game, graphically satisfying and with all the right cards to give you many hours of fun thanks to an accessible control system, many customization options and a wide variety of events. It's not perfect and it will need some updates, but it's undoubtedly the best extreme sports game available today.

South of the Circle is a fascinating and engaging adventure that will succeed in captivating lovers of narrative and emotionally charged experiences, as long as it's seen as "just" an interactive movie whose path cannot be altered, but in which we can alter the emotional nuances and small details. This and the excellent art compartment definitely make it recommendable for those looking for a good story to experience and relax in front of the screen.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me is the best episode yet in Supermassive's horror anthology, and their most captivating game overall. The claustrophobic atmospheres, the excellent audio production and the tense script filled with jumpscares are accompanied by small but significant improvements in the game formula. Definitely a game to have if you love narrative horror experiences.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged follows the footsteps of the first episode, expanding the formula and offering a full-bodied package, packed with content, cars, and plenty of arcade-style fun. The absence of more acrobatic tracks in true Hot Wheels style is noticeable, but it is still a very entertaining arcade racer.

This game manages to maintain all the charm and ironic atmosphere of the original movies, delivering us a very enjoyable game that even who never saw the movies could appreciate. If you're long time fans of the Ghostbusters, you won't be disappointed.

Great fun for partying with friends or even for working out alone, Just Dance 2014 delivers a fresh and immediate experience. It only lacks a tutorial mode to better learn every single move: it would have been perfect with it.

With FIFA 20 EA plays it safe, fine-tuning what good was already done and introducing some news like the entertaining VOLTA Football mode. Some early bugs keep it from being fully satisfying, but we're confident they'll be quickly fixed.
