There's definitely a lot to love about Batman Arkham City Lockdown. We doubt many Batman fanatics will scoff at the visuals and free comic books (yes, the game has some comics), but the shoddy controls made us crazy like a bat with rabies. Some fun to be had, but serious room for improvement.

I really love how shallow this game is, but at the same time Namco should be ashamed for even releasing it since it obviously needed more time to cook.

Although Flower, Sun and Rain shows signs of innovation, it's much too confusing to enjoy. There is originality here in spades, but the experience lacks direction. Skip it.

Rather than trying something new and innovative within the capabilities of the platform, Coded Arms gives gamers the same thing they've gotten so much of already: a straight port that simply banks on the fact that it looks impressive and has never been done on a mobile platform.

To further add insult to this game, Super Sonic Warriors 2 just doesn't look all that impressive and the touch screen implementation is mediocre at best.

Again's graphics look dull and muddy, even for a game that's trying to be on the same level as CSI.

Superman's still mildly entertaining in short bursts. On the flip side, Chillingo could've given this game more attention to make it one of the premier superhero titles on the App Store.

Only Tecmo could produce a game with bikini-clad hotties on a tropical island and make us loathe it. Dead Or Alive Paradise fails due to its lack of content, unpolished visuals, ear-grating audio and lack of anything beneficial to the Dead Or Alive series.

Tornado seemed like a good time, but nonsensical missions and time limits killed the game. Don't be fooled by its shiny exterior. This tornado spins itself out.

But it doesn't really try to capture the essence or thrill of the game too much, and it takes the easy way out in just being average.

A strategic card battler that's missing out on any fun, intuitive design, or, worst of all, a point. Stick to your "Advance Wars" and leave this battlefield empty.

Monster Squad is interesting, but unfortunately it's no different from the gaggle of other games out there that see fit to force players into succumbing to frustrating wait times, annoying free-to-play trappings, and premium currency silliness that impedes what could be an interesting riff on the monster collecting genre.

The biggest criticism, though, is boredom. We just couldn't remain interested, regardless of who we unlocked or what weapons we grabbed.

In addition, the developers made the play area much too small, to the point that you may need to bring the iPhone close to your face to view the action.

At it's worst, it's a terribly frustrating physics puzzler by anyone's standards, and I'm not sure what the presumed target audience of younger gamers is likely to make of it.

The most hardcore Splinter Cell fan might want to try to overlook the game's problems for its new levels, I suppose. What's most upsetting is what could have been.

Zombies, Run! is stuck in a kind of nether-zone between jogging-aid and game. It lacks the functionality of basic jogging apps, and is ultimately unconvincing as an interactive experience.

Every mission just ends up being like the previous one in terms of strategy. Unless you're the type of person who likes collecting all sorts of WWII naval memorabilia, I can't see anyone enjoying this game after the first couple of battles.

There's barely any new content to sift through in this third chapter, and most of it fails to impress. Nintendo needs to rejuvenate this brand or scuttle it entirely. We're sick of going through dungeons. Show us something new.

Bottom line, Madden NFL 13 Social wants to satisfy two groups and winds up disappointing both. It lacks the strategic element people love about the annual football sim, but also the high-speed, high scoring thrills of NFL Blitz.
