Aside from that minor annoyance, Pac-Man Dash is both highly polished and refreshing. Not sure whether the upcoming toys will be a hit, but if anything, you can enjoy this fast-paced and free runner for your mobile device.

It lacks precision controls and Game Sharing, but this shoot-em-up still brings plenty to the table. If you're a fan, don't hesitate.

Lara fans will love it, and those looking for some platforming fun on the go should invest, but everyone else is probably best off with just a rental or sticking to a superior console edition.

BackStab is without question one of the prettiest iPhone and iPad games we've seen, full of gorgeous set pieces, impressive water and fire effects and detailed characters. It might as well be Pirates of the Caribbean, minus Captain Jack Sparrow.

What's here, though, looks beautiful. Wolf Boy is without question one of the iPhone's most attractive 2-D games, full of pretty hand drawn artwork and cool special effects. We just wish there was more variety.

Sure, it's not the hottest-looking racing game out there, and it's got gameplay that has been done before in other games, but it has a bevy of bonuses to uncover, and very suitable options that would be perfect for you, especially if you were born to kick up mud with tires onto your sponsored jeans.

A huge disappointment, where not even Bluetooth support for select games can save it.

Disney could've put more effort into the app, but as it stands, this retro-flavored effort knows its roots.

If anything, Fish Out of Water! proves that oftentimes, the simplest ideas fuel the best games. We've yet to decide where it ranks among Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride, but one thing is certain, you'll be hooked.

If Skate 3 is a successful trick run, then Skate It is the ultimate bail. The gameplay doesn't click and the visuals never draw you in to a real skateboarding experience.

CSR Racing isn't the best driving game on the App Store, but it's still one players should check out, especially if they're huge car fanatics. Now all we need is head-to-head online/offline multiplayer, and we'll be set.

One hell of a sports game, with plenty of options and teams to keep you kicking for months.

But the adventure ends sooner than later, something that could've easily been remedied had this game not been rushed out the door.

Being a hardcore Pokemaniac, it really hurts to see yet another Pokemon game succumb to mediocrity.

If you don't mind a rather steep learning curve, and are prepared to experiment with the default controls, you'll get plenty of mileage out of this tricky title.

This is a game specifically for fans, and even then I'd mention specifically fans of the new Transformers... or Peter Cullen.

If you really want another runner in your life (and, critically, you've already purchased and exhausted Polara), there's no reason you won't get a dollar's worth of fun out of Save Them All. Just don't expect a revolution in the genre that goes behind the time-limit gimmick, and do expect the occasional moment of frustration.

Bookworm Heroes is a tremendously fun word game, and it's one that's packed full of fun characters, special abilities and addictive gameplay. But when you produce a game that makes even Zynga looks generous, you really have to wonder if there isn't still a little extra balancing to be done.

While simpler than other mobile games, NinJump Rooftops is a charming follow-up and worth downloading. In the end, this ninja's as sharp as ever.

Endless Boss Fight is a decent brawling game, one with an interesting approach to multiplayer and plenty of opportunities to clean up cash. However, its stale, repetitive nature and "freemium" grind make it lose some of its appeal. That said, we still had fun with the game.

Throw in a very addictive Survival mode, leaderboards, in-game achievements and 3D models of each pistol, machine gun and sniper rifle, and Overkill 2 contains plenty of appealing features that help make it one of the coolest freemium titles.

Artepiazza has developed a rather special game, and for that I wish I could reward them with a better score. But it would be a disservice to gamers if I ignore the fact that wading through the uneventful days can feel like trudging up a long hill leading nowhere.

If you're happy to treat the game as something you'll play through once then likely move on, then there's bags of entertainment to be had from Tin Can Man.

Fun though it is to race across the landscape splattering anything that moves, the progression system really doesn't work as well as it should. The balancing of the randomized landscapes, objects and zombies feels noticeably uneven between attempts. As a result, your progress in two different rounds will differ wildly - regardless of how many upgrades you might have thrown at your overall loadout.

It's mindless to a fault, where eventually, you just want the mission over with. At the same time, this is exactly the type of experience hardcore DW fans want, and for these people, NEXT delivers.

If you already own Mario Kart DS, there's no reason to buy MySims Racing. This is just a sloppily constructed clone with a below-average presentation and been there/done that gameplay.

Unfortunately, Kamikaze Attack is a proverbial one-trick pony, and it won't be long before you've had enough kicking frogs and deflecting rockets. It gets old, and fast.

In the end, this serving of Diner Dash is decent, but not nearly as good as the others. Sped-up gameplay and Happy Hour are welcome, but neither prevent the game from growing repetitive. The lack of customization and crashes don't help either. That said, the fact that it's free-to-play makes the game worth a look.

If you're not crazy about MMO titles, Game of War: Fire Age won't change your mind. It's a real grind to build something of significance, and even then, it can be frustrating against an overpowered Alliance. For fans of the genre, though, this should be downloaded immediately. All hail to the King, however long he lasts, anyway.

Docking Sequence is an entertaining diversion, but only if you're willing to experiment with different ways of solving puzzles. For everyone else, that may be a little too involved.

Blood Brothers 2 is a great strategy game. The artwork looks unique and there are a lot of interesting generals to assume the role of. The game is held back by an unforgiving stamina system and its need of a constant Internet connection, but don't let these issues prevent you from experiencing what is an otherwise quality effort.

Provides several hours of fun, and it's great to see this type of game on the App Store. We think $6.99 is a bit much, but if you're into this type of adventure, it's a solid pickup.

The cheery 'bloop-de-bleep' repeated throughout the entire game is enough to make ears bleed.

Going out with a bang for them has turned into sneaking out with a whimper. Not exactly my idea of the ol' ball game.

The core mechanics of Zombie Fish Tank are certainly very, very familiar, but there's plenty of variety to be enjoyed here nevertheless.

Three games that deliver a pretty good value. Sadly, that's about it for this package. There's no extra music galleries, no mini-games, not even the ability to play with upgraded visuals. It is kind of bare-bones in that regard, and that may turn off those who look for everything in a collection.

Sonic Generations doesn't have enough meat on its bones to stand alongside the best handheld Sonics on the market, but it's still worth a look.

It's a about as monotonous as watching actual golf on TV.

What it lacks in long-term replay value, Simian.Interface more than makes up for in inventiveness.

This is a game specifically for fans, and even then I'd mention specifically fans of the new Transformers... or Peter Cullen.

More games should take a look at Tales of the World to see how pleasant a streamlined experience can be.

To further add insult to this game, Super Sonic Warriors 2 just doesn't look all that impressive and the touch screen implementation is mediocre at best.

Skylanders Battlegrounds manages to maintain a high level of appeal, though, simply because it contains so many different characters, daily bonuses tied into specific elements and a leveling system that takes into account the entire roster, instead of forcing players to level Skylanders individually.

Taking that into account, ATV Wild Ride 3D was clearly designed as a quick-play arcade-style game, and while the visuals do very little with the hardware, you'll probably come back to this title more than you originally thought. Just don't go into it with high expectations.

It's a sluggish game, but its brief moments of brilliant designs make it worth a look.

As it stands, Tecmo Bowl Kick Off doesn't have enough features to propel it to must buy status. It's a neat throwback, but its dated visuals, lack of options and ridiculous team names make it a rental at best.

While Band Stars has an interesting concept and some fun characters, its glitches, lack of entertainment, and sheer lack of music make it less than enjoyable. Think carefully before taking this band on the road.

If you grew tired of time management games, Supermarket Mania won't thrill you, as it's basically the same thing as Diner Dash, but it's a well-made clone that won't take up too much PSP memory at 36MB.

Looney Tunes: Duck Amuck isn't bad, it's just an idea that wasn't stretched out far enough to cover the space provided in the cartridge.

Unfortunately, you have to have addictive play to match the pretty graphics, and we couldn't muster much interest in Gorilla Gondola to make it a go to favorite. Pass this one by.

That said, Flick Champions comes up a bit short, but for the price, Tennis, Hockey and Bowling make the package worth it.

The cornball story, overall slow pace and lame combat make this one game we'd like to forget.

The story really sucks, the font is ugly, and it's sometimes difficult figuring out where to go.

The graphics and multiplayer options should've been weighed out more, but are made up for with excellent gameplay and decent Wi-Fi against a friend. If robot bashing is beating heavily anywhere in your body, it's time to settle in with a few rounds of this game. You won't be sorry.

Overall the game's a good time but has a couple issues, the least of which are those boring cubicles. Most importantly, we feel the touchscreen controls don't work as they should.

Artwork and light-heartedness aside, the core tower-building of Happy Squirrels doesn't bring a whole lot of new content to the genre, but the mini-games take the interactivity of these thumb-twiddling titles to a slightly higher level.

The biggest knock against this game, though, is longevity. With mini games lasting mere seconds, it doesn't take long to see everything Mario & Sonic has to offer. At the end of the day, you can only play Beach Volleyball for so long.

In the end, Red Ball 3 is a good platform game that falls short of Chillingo's previously released and superior Storm in a Teacup, but if you crave a challenge, it offers that and more.

Is it shallow? Of course, but X-Men is still a cool beat-em-up that's worth your time, especially at $2.99.

While 2K Drive is a bit pricier than the free-to-play competition, there's plenty of mileage behind it, with hours of events to conquer and plenty of cars to test drive. This'll definitely rev your engine.

Angry Birds Stella is a good title with solid gameplay and quality cartoon visuals. The problem is that the game is one in a long line of similar entries, and people have come to expect a lot out from the franchise. On its own, Stella is definitely a great pick up, but if you are getting sick of Angry Birds it won't do much to get you back into the series.

Episode 2 disappoints overall, simply because it should have been better than it is. Sega put some good ideas on the table, but the bothersome water segments, tag team maneuvers and uninspired level design left us wanting a lot more. Hardcore Sonic fans, we imagine, will still gobble it up.

While the graphics and sound are mostly pleasing and the numerous modes and events will keep you busy, I think the difficulty should've been adjusted, and online play should have been made a factor.

Ghostbusters is a surprisingly entertaining romp through our childhood, and a great way to pass the time. More so than ever, busting makes us feel good.

It's a shame that the game's second half diminishes the appeal.

Namco seems to have a screwed-up distribution cycle with this game, so it might be a bit hard to find. And that's too bad, because Point Blank DS is one of the better third-party offerings out there, loaded with variety and insanity going hand in hand.

While the characters are funny and there is a definite old-school/hardcore edge to the design, only those in the market for a tough-as-nails dungeon crawler are likely to find enjoyment here.

To its credit, Pebble Bug Studios did a bang up job with the stylish graphics, and as we said, the music's great. At the same time, Rogue Sky isn't much fun, and ultimately, that's what matters.

Ultimately, there's too much nonsense getting in the way of what we wanted to enjoy in the first place, a fun baseball game.

Performance aside, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus is a razor-sharp sequel that delivers over-the-top cut scenes, special moves and pulverizing attacks. Final verdict: A quality on-the-go beat-em-up that should find its way into your Vita library.

Air Traffic Chaos is short on options, but it's a fun and original DS game for all ages, especially those that want a better idea of what happens thousands of feet in the air.

As a sort of very temporary, throwaway experience, Angry Birds Friends will probably entertain for a time, but we doubt it has the legs to cause the App Store charts any serious problems in the long run. Unless you can come to some sort of agreement not to use cash purchases with a close selection of friends, it's hard to see how the global experience will leave anything but a bitter taste in the mouth.

Children of Mana tops out Lunar: Dragon Song, Deep Labyrinth, and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, but it doesn't take too much effort to be the champion of "Just OK."

If you really have an inexhaustible appetite for both kittens and auto-runners, you'll get a lot more out of the game than most, although we still feel that the pricing is too step given the gameplay on offer, as well as the additional currency in-app purchase store. It's a blast for a time, just don't expect it to set your world on fire.

It's hard to recommend The Cave to a mainstream audience, mainly due to its faulty touch controls and tedious pace. However, if you're a Gilbert fan or want an offbeat title that'll keep you busy for a few hours, dive into this dark place.

Spellfall is a unique and addicting puzzle game. Its only downside are the in-game purchases. If you can look past that, and have some patience, you'll have a great time.

Jumpster is more than a money-making vehicle. It's actually a well thought-out platform adventure with imaginatively-designed environments and tricky stages full of cool set pieces, from spikes and breakable objects to monsters, trampolines and switches.

Difficulty notwithstanding, Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir is a delightful game.

It works, but right handed people clearly have an advantage, since the developers neglected to include an option for left handed gamers.

The gameplay itself, while a bit more grounded than its lame console cousin, has too many AI issues.

One of the most disappointing 3DS games we've played. It's just a mess of ideas with no real focus, and we're a bit surprised Nintendo even released this title at $9.99. Sorry, but we'd rather spend our money elsewhere.

The multiplayer options and new battle additions make Strikeforce better than other Dynasty Warriors games. Perhaps Strikeforce 2 (we're sure Koei's already working on it) will be the ultimate battle game.

World War Z crashed on us once and there appears to be an issue among some Android players, but by and large, it's an impressively-made shooter and collect-a-thon that manages to avoid the dreaded movie game curse. You'll have to pay $4.99 to download it, and we feel it's worth the money, especially if you're in need of a zombie fix.

A solid and largely entertaining side-scroller with retro charm to spare. Random Heroes didn't wow us as expected, but it's another fine game in Ravenous' growing portfolio, as well as a cool retro homage to the good old days.

A tough game to recommend. Although it shows signs of life, those bothersome mini games get in the way of what could've been the best 3DS driving game.

Devil May Cry 4 refrain sometimes looks impressive, but the repetitive combat and brain dead A.I. left us wanting more.

Unfortunately, the game's biggest issue, while not a deal breaker, is quite bothersome. Several times, we watched helplessly as an alien was about to roll off an edge, only to slowly roll in the opposite direction, where it remained until we were forced to restart the puzzle from the beginning. It also appears that the game doesn't take advantage of the new iPad or iPhone 4/4S' Retina display.

Although it's a bit repetitive when it comes to unlocking new stuff, Strike Wing: Raptor Rising is a fun ride for fans of space-shooters - particularly those who are looking to save a buck or too.

While not a true sequel, Super Monkey Ball Bounce will provide several hours of fun. Since it's free, all Monkey Ball fans should give it a serious look.

If you're a LittleBigPlanet fan, there's plenty to attract you to Run Sackboy! Run, but it's nothing that's going to end up breaking the mold, unfortunately. It's a little disappointing, but it's serviceable. In the end, you'll probably end up missing the diversity of the regular LittleBigPlanet games.

Top Spin 3 isn't flashy, but it's fun, and if you need a tennis game for DS, this one is aces in our book.

Capcom Puzzle World won't win any awards in the long-term, and many of you might be annoyed by the presence of Block Block. But the game still has many puzzle moments worth enduring, especially if you're a hardcore fan of Super Puzzle Fighter and the Buster Bros. games.

Even though Band Hero is still a strong musical performer, its problems keep it from stealing the show.

Do yourself a favor and go see the flick instead. It's cheaper and will give you bigger bang for your buck than this misfire.

Unlike the disastrous Resident Evil: Mercenaries Vs. on iPhone, this standalone arcade style shooter comes fully loaded with 30 missions, a deep skill system and sharp looking visuals. Most importantly, it's one head blasting good time.

Juiced: Eliminator isn't bottom of the barrel, but it comes in at a distant third when the underground racing genre has already gone well into its life span, and that's not good news.

The gameplay is a little tricky to get used to on the PSP, but once you get adjusted, you'll find yourself getting into the game's beautiful combat quite easily.
