    Don't let its unpolished look fool you--you can't save everyone, but Save Them All is still tons of fun.

    This is a game great in theory, and smashing nukes with bare fists is never not just exceptionally awesome, but it only goes so far to raise the quality of the experience.

    Save Them All has some neat ideas that at times become too ambitious. It tries to combine the arcade action running found in Don't Run With a Plasma Sword, and the skill based patient running of Canabalt. When it works it is brilliant, but too often a cluttered screen with too much going on, and a hero that melts into the background hindering the brilliance.

    The lackluster story mode isn't a deal breaker, as this isn't a game style that really lends itself to storytelling, but neither is it a particularly strong selling point.

    If you really want another runner in your life (and, critically, you've already purchased and exhausted Polara), there's no reason you won't get a dollar's worth of fun out of Save Them All. Just don't expect a revolution in the genre that goes behind the time-limit gimmick, and do expect the occasional moment of frustration.

    It doesn't reinvent the endless-runner genre, but it's a good, low-investment game perfect for those obsessed with chasing leaderboard scores.
