A piece of garbage port of a fifteen-year old Sega Genesis game with only a battery save and a new spin dash move to spruce it up. That's about it. Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis is a travesty of a game that can't even get up to running speed.- Modojo

In 2013, as publishers finally begin to tread the waters of micro-transactions a little more carefully, and with a sensitive eye on the balance between player experience and profitability, this is how Square Enix chooses to reward that devotion, commitment and support of a franchise over all of these years. As wary as I came in, nothing could have prepared me for just how fundamentally broken this game is. I can only imagine how frustrating this experience would have been to an infant (assumedly, the target audience). What could have been a quick-and-easy cash-in for Majesco, recommendable to the most hardcore of Holly fans, is a complete mess, a Holly Hobbie that nobody could care for and sadly, should have been aborted.- Modojo

Taken for what it is, Nightclub Story is a decent title for little kids, despite the subject matter (mixed drinks in a club hardly screams E for Everyone). The publisher made a big mistake with the controls. Don't even think about swiping in one fluid motion; you know, to mimic rolling a ball.
