This remastered PS4 / Xbox One edition featuring the two PlatinumGames hits that are celebrating their 10th anniversary is rather welcome for those who wish to discover, or re-discover these two titles. Some of the graphics are looking old, but that doesn't prevent you from enjoying some wild action while ensuring maximum style.- MGG

A redundant roguelite with no real character upgrades (apart from equipment) and no rewards worthy of the name, a farm game with no plantations or romance with the characters, and a restaurant simulation that goes no further than serving customers. Although it doesn't go far enough in the three genres Cuisineer draws on, this cosy game does live up to its promise. Addictive despite its redundancy, it embodies this perfect blend of styles, offering a lightness that feels good and makes you want to finish it 100%.- MGG

The release of Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion is excellent news for all the fans of what has become a full-fledged franchise, thanks to the phenomenal success of FFVII. But be careful, you have to know what you're getting into: if the remaster allows you to enjoy this prequel with a new visual comfort, the few adjustments made by the developers are not enough to hide the great age of a formula. For the endearing piece of history it offers, fans should be able to get past it, but it might be much more complicated for everyone else.- MGG

Life Is Strange: Reunion is better than its predecessor, but it struggles to truly rekindle the spark that players felt when playing the first games in the series. The game clearly plays on players’ nostalgia by focusing its plot on Max and Chloe’s reunion, and the characters surrounding them are endearing and fairly well-written. However, that isn’t enough to make up for a storyline that’s sometimes unconvincing and some real technical shortcomings. We still had a good time, though, and it’s a nice conclusion to Max and Chloe’s story.- MGG

Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition is a welcome port on PC, although very little effort has been made to actually adapt it to our machines. The graphics improvements are there and it is possible to play with the keyboard and mouse, but the interface is not particularly suitable. The flaws and clumsiness of the title, both in the combat system, inventory and crafting, still tend to irritate, but it remains a good game, on which you can spend tens of hours without getting bored.- MGG

If you want to refresh yourself and just have a good time without taking your mind off it, Rune Factory 5 is the game for you, even if the boss fights are not incredible and the game suffers from the technical aspect. Its substantial content and the possibility of being a real inhabitant in the city of Rigbarth while allowing you to farm the dungeons or capture the monsters will be strong arguments.- MGG

While FPS are not initially designed to be played on consoles , the Switch is a nice one to play Overwatch on, as long as it's on a wide screen. The experience is similar to playing on a PS4 or Xbox and the controller allows a good gameplay immersion. The Switch doesn't provide ultra graphics as on PC, of course, but it does a good job delivering a beautiful image. If the portable mode enthusiasts might find what they're looking for, we still recommend you play with the controller.- MGG

Concord is too daring a gamble for Firewalk and PlayStation Studios, who are releasing a 100% multiplayer pay-to-play game in a pool of already famous free-to-play games. While the game isn't fundamentally bad, it's slower and less dynamic than its rivals, which will hold some players back, and in no way revolutionizes the genre, which might have justified the entry fee. The game aims to be that “hero-shooter for casuals par excellence”, but does this genre have a place in today's ecosystem, and a paying one at that? Unfortunately, it's hard to see a bright future for Concord without some radical rethinking.- MGG

Helldivers 2 is by far the most fun we've had with multiplayer in recent years, and Arrowhead Game Studios has really created something special here. It's absolutely addictive to dive into the action again and again, validating objectives under a deluge of explosions and enemies. Unfortunately, many flaws seriously spoil the party, even months after release. Each new update introduces new bugs, while many of those present since release are still present, as are the huge performance problems. The studio has also shot itself in the foot by nerfing the most effective and popular weapons with each patch, rather than seeking to make the dozens of others interesting.- MGG

Ultimately, EA Sports FC 26 is still a more interesting version than its predecessor, with a large number of teams, substantial content, and increasingly comprehensive gameplay thanks to its separation into two distinct styles. Of course, it's far from perfect, and this is evident in a number of areas, such as optimization, particularly on PC, and the various bugs that can be encountered during games. So, is it worth the price? It's hard to say, because if you're a soccer fan, you'll have plenty to keep you busy in single-player and online modes, but if you want to discover a game series based on this sport, you might want to wait for a future installment.- MGG

With its fantastic artistic direction, The Sojourn is a game to be recommended to fans of the genre. Even if the accompanying story and the texts of the scrolls remain rather vague, we nevertheless enjoyed following the epic tale that is told. The challenges are many and varied, with techniques that combine perfectly, and some present a real challenge. We would have liked to have been able to run, but peace of mind is a must in this game.- MGG

Reigns: The Witcher is a solid addition that will appeal to fans of the franchise looking for a little game to play during their downtime. It's fun and surprisingly rich, with interesting combat that is optional depending on the gaming experience you're looking for. It's a pleasure to see the characters from The Witcher in a different context, with a wide variety of narratives to choose from. Apart from a few clumsy moments in terms of overall balance, the game's real flaws lie in its mobile-friendly interface and a lack of ambition in its execution.- MGG

Persona 5 Tactical is a good little tactical game that should please fans of the licence, as well as gamers looking for original gameplay. It could also appeal to those who regret that Mario + The Raving Rabbids is exclusive to the Switch. Some of Persona 5's strengths, such as its music and cast, can be found here, although the Chibi design, linear progression structure and lack of ambition in the story greatly limit its potential. Waiting for a promotion to get your hands on it seems to us to be the wisest option.- MGG

With its art direction directly taken from Zelda and its enchanting soundtrack, TUNIC knows how to set a delectable atmosphere in a world that never ceases to surprise you. But underneath its sweet airs lies a rather rough game with sometimes tense and effectively tactical fights that unfortunately suffer a little from the hero's lack of punch, at least at the beginning. You'll have to overcome the lack of clear indications that can confuse or even discourage you to enjoy it. But it would be a shame not to get hooked because the title turns out to be unsuspectedly rich.- MGG

Life is Strange: Double Exposure is a welcome sequel: the narrative is rich and the characters engaging, but the experience remains limited by poorly-exploited gameplay mechanics and uneven technical realization. Fans of the series will find pleasure in an older, even more nuanced Max, while new players can immerse themselves in an emotionally intense plot. The art direction succeeds in differentiating the two parallel realities brilliantly, and the integration of social networks allows us to discover subtle aspects of the story and the characters.- MGG

King's Bounty II is a remarkable installment within the genre of tactical RPGs, providing a simple battle system, but at the same time, with many layers of depth for those who want to get the most out of it. Accompanied by a medieval / fantastic setting, which offers extremely beautiful areas, and, even without standing out in its narrative plot, or in its open world, it delivers a lot of potential and, surely, it will be a trough of hours for many users.- MGG

Steelrising is a game that borrows a lot of good ideas from other titles of the genre while putting its own identity. Paris is an incredible playground where the artistic direction takes all its meaning and gives us a lot of eye candy. However, the technical side of the game struggles to keep up and we can clearly feel that the studio lacked the means to achieve its ambitions. The gameplay is very well thought out, rigid without being rigid, which fits perfectly with our character devoid of flesh and blood. Steelrising will perfectly satisfy Souls-like fans who don't know what to do once Elden Ring is over... As long as you can get past the technical aspects and the realization that sometimes leaves something to be desired and certainly deserves more attention.- MGG

With Hot Wheels Unleashed, the Mattel brand succeeds in its return to video games with a dynamic title, easy to handle, fluid and really fun. Everything breathes the Hot Wheels spirit and that's good. Despite a feeling of repetitiveness linked to the use of only 5 environments, it contains a lot of good ideas and often gives you a good feeling, especially during the boss races. We would have liked a less redundant soundtrack and a more advanced story mode, but it still manages to do well. As for the collectors, they will be delighted to chase the rare pearl, even if the surprise box option and its random dimension are highly debatable.- MGG

Mario and Sonic at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games is a solid, although not revolutionary, party game. Its wide selection of events, its clean technique and its various types of gameplay, all very accessible, make it an ideal companion for a few successful evenings with friends or family. The real added value of this opus, the solo mode, is however a good idea poorly exploited, due to a excess of inconsistent dialogues, which break the rhythm and all the interest of this charming initiative.- MGG

Deathloop is a good experience that mixes genres and inspirations against the backdrop of an assassination-based time puzzle. The island and the characters are full of personality, which makes the exploration and discovery of secrets satisfying at first. But you quickly realize that the title doesn't have the means of its ambitions, it's not a very good FPS, nor a good puzzle game, and it doesn't reach the level of Hitman on infiltration and creativity of assassinations. Despite its limitations, you still have a good time on Blackreef Island, and it's fun to progress from loop to loop, getting faster and faster while killing your targets at lightning speed. The multiplayer invasions also add the edge of difficulty and challenge that the rest of the game struggles to offer.- MGG

Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is a pleasant, if not unforgettable, adventure. While we're always happy to find Majima and his gameplay, the storyline of this episode isn't up to scratch, just like its particularly empty and under-exploited maritime zones. Nonetheless, the game boasts solid side content: crew management, side quests, mini-games galore... There's plenty to do.- MGG

Diablo 2 Resurrected has a stunning graphical overhaul as well as satisfactory controller support, but it's really not a remaster for the masses: it's primarily aimed at fans of the original title. Nostalgia won't necessarily be enough to make you forget the lack of modernization of many interface or gameplay elements. So it struggles to compete with the many newer games in the same genre on many levels. Let's hope for more changes in the future. Even if it doesn't impose itself as a modern title, we still recommend it to players looking to discover this great classic in good conditions, knowing that it offers an almost unlimited life span to those who are hooked on its old formula.- MGG

Rainbow Six Extraction is a good cooperative PvE game that takes the codes of Rainbow Six Siege. The stealth, the management of our agents, the difficulty encountered, the intelligence of the monsters and the strategy make it a totally different game and does not feel like a flat copy of Left 4 Dead. The gameplay could have seemed repetitive, but the worlds change so much that we don't get bored. Moreover, the progression system is also a factor. You quickly get a taste for the gameplay, which very often requires you to make decisions and thoughtful movements.- MGG

The campaign keeps the player on the edge of his seat, to the point where you want to know more and hope to see a sequel to this story. The mechanics brought by the Story Mode, the dialogue choice and the impression of being protagonist give a real boost to the campaign, even if it represents only five to seven hours of play. The new multiplayer modes are great and bring a new dynamic, but the operators' movements limit our experience on these big maps. We're waiting for Season 1 of Black Ops Cold War to bring a lot more content and, most importantly, to see the integration of Warzone. The Zombie mode also brings a nice touch, with new mechanics that are great fun, except for the lack of cinematics.- MGG

While it gets a new look and offers a comfortable experience, Langrisser I & II also carries the burden of the original games. Some elements are poorly thought out, or taken from another era, and it also lacks surprises as well as difficulty. The soundtrack and the modern design would probably have deserved a little more effort. It's nevertheless saved by its gameplay that is quickly handled and manages to stand out from the competition. It's also a good opportunity to discover the Langrisser saga, one that many had missed.- MGG

Unless you never touched The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim when it was released, or you're a die-hard fan of the license who's in the throes of nostalgia, this special anniversary edition is far from essential. It obviously includes all the elements that made the success of this title while adding some new elements. The adventure is still as epic as ever and it's a real treat to walk the length and breadth of Bordeciel. However, all this is not enough to erase the feeling of playing the same game as 10 years ago. For this price, we would have expected a little more...- MGG

So, is Silent Hill f a worthy representative of the cult saga? The answer is nuanced. Yes, certain elements remind us of what we love about Silent Hill: a chilling soundscape, memorable bosses, an oppressive atmosphere. But no, it's not the rebirth we were hoping for: the graphics are disappointing, the story lacks maturity, and, above all, the combat system weighs down the experience. I wouldn't say that Silent Hill f is a bad game. It contains interesting ideas, moments of grace, and proves that the franchise still has something to say. But it's not yet the big comeback that will put the first Silent Hill games back at the top of survival horror. In short, Silent Hill f is a step sideways. Not the revolution we were hoping for, but an attempt that will hopefully pave the way for a more ambitious future.- MGG

Very enjoyable and more pleasant to play than Dying Light 2 in some respects, thanks in particular to its highly satisfying parkour and no-frills adventure, Dying Light the Beast remains a minor episode in Techland's series. Despite a smaller play area and a very short campaign, the game still ends up becoming repetitive after a few hours, due to uninteresting side activities and a poorly constructed map. The basics of the gameplay are there and they're still as good as ever, but that's not enough to make it a memorable experience.- MGG

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground is an interesting and engaging tactical game, it should have in theory a huge lifespan with its 3 factions, its rogue-like campaigns replayable in many ways and its ton of units, equipment, skills and heroes. But in practice, it runs out of steam quite quickly in single player, the fault of an AI as well as a sluggish game pace, maps that lack fantasy and a decreasing difficulty curve. It could have been much more fun with more polish.- MGG

Friendly as it may be, Mario & Luigi Brothership will have a hard time making an impression. Overly talkative and riddled with technical problems ranging from long loading times to poor framerate, Acquire's title never really gets off the ground. What's left is gameplay with fun combat and a sibling cast that's more animated than ever, helping to sweeten the trip to Connexia.- MGG
